Resetting gateway computer to factory settings from an infinite repair loop?

I have a gateway desktop Dx4870-ub31

Two days after updating to windows 8.1 online. My computer was **** off manually due to the screen resolution being adjusted by me, and the screen resolution did not revert to the previous the resolution. Unfortunately, my computer will say on start up, attempting to repair and diagnosing PC, but these attempts aren't successful. Hence the infinite repair loop.

I called Microsoft, I was directed to gateway, because my computer had windows installed by the manufacture "gateway" instead of buying the cd and installing it.

I called gateway, and their representative that I talked to, told me, that I need to pay 200$ dollars for a service pan "warranty" because mine expired a couple months ago. They are telling me the only way I can talk to tech support is by paying for their service plan. Prior to the phone call to gateway. Microsoft infoed me that gateway would practically have to reset my computer to factory settings.

Unfortunately I don't know how to advert the resetting process. So when my computer is started and it stops attempting to repair itself. It allows me to goin to advanced options, I don't have a restore point to go back onto, I don't have a recovery drive, and my computer won't go into safe mode. Now the options do allow me to reset my computer to favored settings but I don't know if that is a good idea. Due to the fact that. Don't have any installing CDs for windows or anything else.

Headphone jack in HP computer not working!!?

I have an HP Pavillion entertainment Laptop dv9700. I got a virus taken off my computer a few months ago but to take the virus off the computer place I took it took had to wipe my computer and then put all my data back. Since then I've had two frustrating problems:

1. When I plug my headphones into the headphone jack, the sound still plays from the regular speakers and I don't hear any sound in the headphones (I've already tried suing a different pair of headphones and that didn't help).

2. My microphone (which came pre-installed on the computer) doesn't work.

PLEASE help me. I'm taking a plane on Friday and REALLY need my computer to keep me sane during my layover. Thanks!!

Should a car battery be removed if it's going to be parked for a month or more?

Oh boy… you’re going to get all sorts of answers on this one.On a 2009 Lexus that is going to be parked for a month, I would not even consider removing the battery. There is no compelling reason to do so and the pain and aggravation of removing and re-installing is just not worth the potential problems associated with it.It is not uncommon for a vehicle to sit on a show-room floor or an auto-parts shelf for 30 days, right? If you’re worried about the battery discharging while you’re gone (which is unlikely), a much, much better idea would be to connect a trickle-charger… but if the battery is in good condition, you won’t even need that.Removing and reinstalling a battery is not difficult but there is a procedure for doing it correctly and you risk damaging the electrical system if it’s not done correctly (particularly on re-installation), not to mention the hazards associated with handling an acid-filled, 25 pound lead-heavy component. If the battery is removed…You will lose all (or most) data stored in memory (and on luxury cars, that is considerable). It’s not just the radio settings, there is GPS info, seat-position settings etc., etc.In some cases, the computer will have to re-learn certain protocols. You won’t have an alarmIt can’t be moved in an emergency. On some vehicles (particularly BMWs) you might not even be able to get back in the vehicle with just the key.The worst that’s going to happen is you’ll need a jump-start when you get back.If you do remove it, I can practically guarantee you’ll have a check-engine light when you re-install. Don’t you wish I was your mechanic?

How do I recover my WhatsApp chat and images after three months of deletion?

Absolutely yes. If you just need to feel better, get everything that might makes you more sad or depressed AWAY, and everyone who puts your issues on the spot as well! listening to sad music, talking to the wrong people about what makes you feel really sad, going to places that are related to bad memories, all of that can make your depression worse. Talk it out man! Write down everything. Whatever are your feelings ACCEPT them, see and understand what is their purpose and why do you feel this way! find a way out of it. Help yourself. Talk to new, fresh people. Go to new places. Try new clothes with new colours. Discover yourself again. Put your hand on heart, feel that heartbeat, and be grateful for it. Believe me if you give up to depression it will eat your soul. Whatever your age, you have a great life, you just can't see that well. And it's just a decision, remember that. You're the one who decides whether to be sad and let depression mess with you or to change something and get your life in a good, bright direction. What are you trying to clone.Cloning a lot of plants is very easy, you can take a cutting, place it in some compost an the cutting will develop roots. you now have two genetically identical plants. With some plants like most berries or vines it is even easier, just peg a part of the plant onto the ground and it will develop roots. Once it is rooted you can simply cut the vine connecting the new plant to the old. With mammals things are more difficult, you need some basic lab equipment. Basically you have to remove the nucleus (all the genetic material) from an egg cell and replace it with a cell nucleus taken from the animal you wish to clone, fuse the two together with a electric shock and then implant the clone embryo into the womb of a female animal so that it can develop to maturity. If you are trying to clone a hard disk, use a linux boot disk and a program called gparted

How do I view email older than a few months on Yahoo Mail on my old, slow computer without buying a premium account?

I don’t have a premium Yahoo account, and I have mail that is over 13 years old. I didn’t use Yahoo much after I signed up with Gmail, mainly because of their being hacked so many time, so I had over 50,000 unread messages. I wanted to clean it up so I could use it again.I have Thunderbird for my email client, it works in systems as old as Windows XP SP2. I went into my Yahoo account settings and allowed third party software, put my email and password into Thunderbird, and several hours later I had ALL my mail. It took me about an hour to clean it up, and now I have a nice clean mailbox at Yahoo again. My friend sent me some pictures of my son’s baptism 10 years ago that I thought were lost, but no, they were still sitting there nicely on Yahoo’s servers waiting for me to download them.
