How Do I Read A Message That Has Been Sent Through A Facebook App

Facebook message sent but not delivered?

It only started tonight and with one contact only. I sent a few messages and the latest one has come up as "sent" (blue ring). However, when she comes online, it doesn't change?

If I sent a message on Facebook Messenger and it was just "sent", and then I deleted it, will the recipient ever recieve it?

Yes, the recipient receives this message even after deleting the message from your inbox. The time you send a message it directly moves to facebook server, it saves the copy of your file on database and it moves forward to the user's inbox. What you can do? If you've sent a message to other persons who's not in your friend list then you've a chance that it may move into their other folder. How can one know if the message is in other folder? Facebook alerts you that this message is about to move into their other folder, Do you want facebook to charge you the amount of 3.99$ to send message directly to their inbox?Deleting your facebook account helps, but if the user opens the inbox in less than 10 days of your account deleted then the user will know your username. But after 10 days your name will disappear only message will be displayed.

Facebook messenger app saying delivered but never read?

I ve sent a message to someone late yesterday. The message says delivered;notified but never seen. This has done this before with this same person and it said delivered and never changed to seen until they started a convo a week later. They ve been "green" on chat several times since yesterday evening so I assume that they have been on or looked at their Facebook. I m new to the messenger app and don t really understand how it works. Is there a reason it s not changing? Am I being ignored? What s the deal?

What do the icons on Facebook Messenger mean?

The icons used in Facebook Messenger let you know when your messages have been sent, delivered and read. They have been changing over the past few months, but as of writing, the current set used in the Android and iOS apps follows:A blue circle means your message is sendingA blue circle with a checkmark means your message has been sentA filled-in blue circle with a checkmark means your message has been deliveredA small version of your friend's photo will pop up below the message when they've read itThe time between your message is sending and your message has been sent should be brief - if it isn't, there might be a problem with your connection or with Facebook. Delivered may be the one you care about most - that means it's on your friend's device and your friend can read the message.Pro tip: if you tap message, you can see exactly what time it was seen by your friend. For example, before tapping on the message:After tapping on the message ("Were"):So I know that my message was seen right after I sent it at 1:03 AM. If you are sending a message to a group of friends, tapping the message will show you the names of the friends who have read it in additional to seeing their profile photo.A confusing past: the set of icons being used have changed over time. Just 2-3 months ago, this is what you would have seen instead:You'll notice that the same icon (an open blue circle) has been used to mean two different things!I can only imagine that the sent, delivered and read concepts have been difficult for the product's designers to convey to people, and as a result they have had to continue iterating to find a set that is intuitive and easy to understand. Here's hoping they've landed on a set that works!

I sent a message on Facebook to a non-friend and it just says sent. Can they read my message if it still says sent and they are not showing active?

When you send a message to someone that is not your friend or otherwise directly connected, the subject of such a message will receive a notification that “________ wants to connect with you on Messenger.” The person receiving the message will then be redirected to “Message Requests” which acts like a pending inbox and will either “Accept” or “Decline” your message with your message on the screen. If they Decline the message, the message will sit in your inbox as “Sent” but not “Read”.If they accept your message, Facebook will update the message status to “Read”. Additionally, while sending additional messages, their “Read” or “Sent” status will be updated along the way. While you are not connected with them, you will not be able to see if they are “active” even if they “accept” your message to begin with. Only Friends can see if others are active or not. (Provided they did not “Turn Off” their messenger.)

Why does a message say sent and not delivered on Facebook Messenger?

In most cases, this this happens when the person you are sending message to has blocked you on Facebook. Sending messages to a person who have configured their messenger app to deny messages from people who are not on their account can also cause this problem.According to the Facebook, a blue circle means your message is sending to the facebook server. A blue circle with a check-mark means your message has been sent. A filled-in blue circle with a check-mark means your message has been delivered. A small version of your friend's photo will pop up below the message when they've read it.

Can you tell if someone read your message on facebook?

Online, I dont think you can. But on "facebook messenger" it usually will tell you when someone reads your message, like itll say for example: "seen at 12:23pm" or something like that, I dont know, it does that for my android. "Facebook messenger" is a facebook message app for phones/ipod touches/ipads.

Edit: Yes, thats exactly what it means.

If a message sent through Facebook messenger says sent, does the other person get a notification?

It depends on their settings and what platform they are using. It also depends on what platform you are using and how it indicates to you that it is sent. Are you seeing the check-marks on your mobile device? Or the word “sent” on your computer while you are logged into Facebook? As someone else said, the check-mark in a while circle means they have not been notified. This can be because their phone is off, they have notifications off, or they have no signal. Sometimes it shows just for a moment because of normal delay. The check-mark in a blue circle means they might have been notified. The message has, at least, reached their device. If they have notifications turned on, they should know about your message. However, just yesterday, all my notifications stopped for no reason. The sound just wasn’t sounding and the icon wasn’t appearing. When I opened the messenger, my incoming messages were there, though. I restarted my device, and I started getting notifications again. If the person’s picture is next to the message, they have read it.If you are logged into Facebook, and it just says “sent,” it doesn’t tell you whether they have received it or not. This is the same as both the white and blue circled check-marks. If it says “seen,” it’s like the person’s picture. They have viewed the message.
