How Do I Read Digitally Signed Emails In Yahoo

Receiving digitally signed email - Can't read?

Many of my friends use outlook and digitally sign their email, not encrypt. Because the email is digitally signed, it is unreadable with Yahoo mail. If the file is downloaded, it can be read, but not easilly. If POP downloaded to an offline reader, the email can be fully read. This is very inconvienent for those of us that like to use the web based email. Can you fix?

How do you make a digital signature for your yahoo emails?

Click Options in the upper-right corner of your Mail page. Go to "Management", click "signature". Above the text area, next to the word "Editor", click either "plain" or "color and graphics". With the toolbar that appears when you select color and graphics, you can choose which font you’d like to use and how you’d like to format and color it. Now compose your signature by typing in the text area. Click "add signature to all outgoing messages" and it'll do just that. Don't forget to save your new settings!

Who signs/encrypts their email? Way to few people. While everything on the internet uses SSL/TLS these days, people just don’t seem to realize that their emails are flying around unencrypted. This is a bit sad, because there are really good corporate encryption solutions these days that solve key escrow problems and make the whole encryption/verification process completely transparant to the end user. The popularity of webmail like Gmail does make it a bit harder for individual use, but is no real excuse. But who uses encrypted email? From my experience:Currently e-mail encryption is mostly used by privacy activists and tech-savvy nerds (who like the idea of encryption, but do not actually have anything to hide).A big second group is journalists, who communicate with their sources.Governments exchanging classified information. Often via proprietary systems.Companies exchanging information under NDA. Though it is shocking to see how much of that is still exchanged in the clear.I’ve been seeing a growing interest for lawyers communicating with their clients. And then I suspect there is quite a lot of criminal and/or darkweb activity using encrypted emails.
