How can I refresh the Yahoo Home page? Where is the refresh button located?

On the old Yahoo Home page, I could click on Yahoo or something similar and very simple. The time would update automatically and so would the news. I can't seem to do this anymore. I read the news at 7 in the morning. I come home at 7 at night and still find the same time as in the am as well as the same stories. Help! And I hate the "do you want to close all tabs" button!!!! No. I don't want to close all tabs. Just want instant access to world news. Thanks.

In the advanced Firefox options, you can check off the “Warn you when websites try to redirect or reload the page” option. That should stop most websites from automatically refreshing.

Hi, I’m developer and for some time I was wondering too “how” this magic happens.Let’s take example PHP server side scripting language it’s REST API / POST & GET calls will refresh your page.. but if You mix it with AJAX You can get some good results without refreshing the page like auto update / wall feed etc.I wrote short tutorial on this: PHP POST no page Refresh tutorialHope it helps.

HiSo first of if your windows 10 is set to automatically pic border colours to go with your desktop image, your windows explorer will always auto refresh weird I know! So just disable the automatic colour settings in personalization and pic 1 colour. Hope this helps till a better solution comes along.

How does one stop the auto refresh on Yahoo box scores after the game has ended?

It is a very annoying feature/non-feature for them to take away the ability to turn auto-refresh off, and I too am looking for a better way. But you can try what I have found to work (albeit a slight pain) that is still better than not being able to stop it at all! Try adding "&refresh=0" (without quotes) to the end of the line in the address bar, and then click the 'go' button to load the page with the addendum. That will work, although you will need to do that for each boxscore that you view, ugh! Good luck and please let us know if ou find a better way.

My Yahoo Page will not update my preferences (Sports etc.) when I click on refresh. Any solutions?
