No you can't. And you're not the first who said the XBOX has made that possible. No they haven't. You can downbload the game data to the harddrive on the 360 the same way you do with the PS3 BUT you still need the disc to play. All it does is cut back on the loadings during the middle of the game. I don't know why so many people think that Microsoft came out with a brilliant idea when it's not even possible, a company isn't going to do something that would hurt their own sales. If they made it possible to copy a game onto the harddrive everybody would rent a $6 game and take it back instead of buying it. And what the xbox did was nothing new, Sony's been doing that since the release of the PS3.

PS3 60GB corrupt hard disk and freezes with white lines?
It's weird i was about to play nba 2k13 then my ps3 just froze. I turned it back on and it froze at startup with the screen turning a different color. Sometimes it pixelates with little white lines. It said my hard drive is corrupt and it will restore files. Now when i try to enter safe mode, it just freezes and shows white lines or dots. Yesterday, i tried to restore file system but it just stopped at a certain percentage and the screen just stayed black. What could be wrong with it? Is it my gpu? Or my hard drive? Please help!! Thanks.

You can "run" PS3 discs in your laptop, if your laptop comes with a Blu-Ray reader, or you can buy an external Blu-Ray reader.But if you meant "play", then yes you can play. There are emulators like RPCS3, and ESX-PS3, which are free to download. But you won't enjoy it, as your laptop won't have enough Graphics processing speed to let you play like a PlayStation!
