Can I get some opinions on my singing?
I concur with the other gentleman -- There's potential there.I really am in a funny position here -- "criticism", especially long-distance like this, is really kinda "dicey".. but I will say this:The field of vocal coaching is sort of a chaos - You REALLY must have, as your OWN idea, what you want to say to the world, and what you sound like or want to sound like. You need to be persistent in your journey to find your voice. You need to record TONS of songs and listen to whoever you consider great singers and painstakingly compare your voice to theirs: what are they doing? what are YOU doing? back and forth.A good coach will help you with your analysis.. A bad one will leave you spinning like a top, doubting yourself, and ultimately, giving up singing!YOU have to satisfy YOU... THEN you have to observe what the audience thinks and feels.Now having said all that.. I have a good source of info and coaching on vocals.. Check HER out.. What is your opinion on my singing voice?
Your pitch is great, and the tone is nice. Your voice blends with the guitar well. My only small “critique” (which is more of advice) is sing out more! Project, and let people hear you. Try to open your mouth more to form the words, because it's hard to understand what you're saying. Other than that, it's good! Keep working at it :)
What is your opinion about your own voice? Do you like singing or don't you like singing? If not why not?
I started singing at a very young age in choir and school choruses. As I got older I continued singing and also took vocal lessons mainly to learn how to protect my voice but also to learn to sing with more force. When I first started singing professionally, my brother and I formed an acoustic duo so everything we played was pretty mellow (even the faster songs). After a while, we got a drummer and bass guitarist and formed N.O.R. and that’s when everything changed for me as a singer. This is where the lessons I took really came into play because singing in a Hard rock/Heavy Metal band puts a lot of strain on your voice. Anway, now that I have explained a little about my journey as a singer, to answer your questions: I believe I had (still have) a decent voice, although I cannot hit the high notes that I used to when I was younger but I can still scream out a few Heavy Metal tunes. I love to sing and do so as much as possible, which helps keep my voice in good shape. Just because the band I was in is no more does not mean that I don’t still enjoy singing.
I would like opinions on my singing ability?
Your natural relaxed voice, the lower register is great.Please take this constructively and give it a try once, you might be pleased with the result…For the parts of the song in the higher register take much deeper breaths, really big so that your stomach pushes out.This will mean you don't have to tense up to push enough air out to hit the notes and keep them steady.Taking focus away from pushing hard for the note will return your focus to embellishing the song with your own style.Your voice is enjoyable and entertaining, better breathing will release more of its full potential.If you give it a go post the result for us.Thanks

I think you are really good! You can try to work on the higher notes if you want to reach them. The link to the video didn't work on my computer but idk about other comps. You sound great just try to sing louder and more powerful. I love the "100 years" one! If you want people to hear you better sing more into the mic. Otherwise you were very good, keep it up!
What is your opinion on Katy Perry?
I think she's pretty legit. I always thought she was drop dead gorgous. Her eyes are amazing. I think her style is off the wall sometimes, which is cool because she's her own person and she's unique, yes she's not as 'out there' as Gaga. She seems to have a fun personality... and her voice is unique as well. I love basically all of her songs. When I hear her name, I usually just think of her killer body and how jealous I am. haha. My favorite song by her is ET, featuring Kanye West or Waking up in Vegas.
