How Do I Start A Bench Player

Would you rather start JV or Bench for Varsity?

Varsity bench, cuz then the next year you would be starting Varsity for sure! but JV would be much easier to excel in. just matters on if you want to wreck or if you want a challenge

Why are NBA bench players put into the game at the start of the second quarter of many games?

Coaches work to establish a regular "rotation", where players become accustomed to starting play at a regular time in the game. It's easier for everyone to prepare when there's a routine, continuity and familiarity.

In the NBA, why are the starting lineups the best players? Why not stagger the stars with the bench players?

Best players always wants to play against the other teams best players, they are ultra competitive and have a huge ego to satisfy in the NBA.If you pit a lesser talent in the starting 5, your best player from the bench would be pressured to play catch up as they are most likely to be 10–15 points behind.Fans also expects the team’s best player to start and feature for at least 30 mins a game today, back in the 2000s their expectations was 40+ mins. But sometimes you have injuries, age, coaching, game plan and fit that one of their best starter would play a crucial 6th man role.Manu GinobilliUp until the last 3 - 4 seasons Manu could have started in any of the 29 teams in the league but Pop managed to convinced his talent would be best utilised as the designated playmaker, scorer and leader for the 2nd unit, save his body (due to his playing style) and still get to close off games.Rudy GayInjuries. It seems he regained his explosiveness from his torn Achilles tendon but he will be the designed 6th man backing up both SF and PF, potentially be closing games too in Pop’s predicted ‘death lineup’ with Murray/Parker, Green, Kawhi, Gay and LMA.Others like;Eric GordonA former starter whose once promising career was derailed by knee injuries could only secure a key bench role playing roughly 25–30 mins per game and mainly dropping 3s.James HardenWell ownership got stingy and didnt want to pay max to Harden, or so they say either way Harden is one of the best players in the league since. When he was the 6th man for OKC he was known as the modern Manu.Toni KukocBack in those days you can’t start him over Rodman and way too fragile over Big Luc, but he has the game to drop 20–7–5 in today’s game easily, too bad he spend all his prime as the 6th man but he got the rings to show.Jamal CrawfordHe was a legit starter for most of his prime but he mostly play offense and defense is an afterthought thus his decision to be the 6th man in the last 8 season was probably the best for his career longevity.

How to switch players from bench to starting roster in ESPN Fantasy Football?

I'm using ESPN Fantasy Football. My starting QB is Tom Brady. He is obviously injured and isn't scoring any points. How do I move Kurt Warner, who is on my bench, to the starting QB position on my roster? I can't find any buttons or links that allow me to do this. Also, how do I pick up free agents?

On ESPN's fantasy basketball, do my bench players' stats count?

The reason I'm wondering is because no one else in my league ever changes their lineups. They always have people starting that aren't even playing that day and others on the bench who are playing and their stats aren't doing them any good. I always adjust my lineup every day. I started wondering if they knew something that I didn't.

Do the bench players in fantasy football score points or just the starting lineup? ?

Only your starting lineup. That is why you have a starting lineup. You have to decide on which players stats you want to count that week.

Would you rather Sit the bench on Varsity or start on JV?

This actually is a very tough decision; I know a lot of my friends have a similar issue (I'm a Junior too). Personally, I would rather start on JV. Even though it looks worse on resumes and stuff, I would much rather get the time to play and enjoy the game and get to know the younger kids and lead them better.

Why do NBA players like Lou Williams come off the bench?

First we have to establish what does it mean : “Players like Lou Williams” - are usually backcourt players (so we are not talking about Kevin McHale, and we aren’t talking about Kyle Korver and J.J. Redick) that bring scoring of the bench with usually limited defense, and just solid playmaking abilities but often good handles that brings them possibility to find ways to score on their own.Players that come to mind instantly: Jamal Crawford, Tyreke Evans, J.J. Barea, some parts of Isiah Thomas career. So in common you have good to great scorers with no defense. So for them the perfect team role is coming of the bench, attacking with full energy on opponents reserve unite and try to spark a run even to make a big differential in result or to help team get closer in a hurry with couple of shots of the dribble or in transition. This role is so important for every team, cause it brings balance when coach goes to find some energy and difference maker outside of his starting unit and these guys almost always deliver.

What will happen if your bench players are playing better than your starters? What are the BN really for?

I am NOT sure how the bench players play the role in fantasy picks.

I know they do fill-in the spot while other player has a bye week.. Is it really for GETTING the bye fantasy points ONLY? Please read my other questions, too. Thanks in advance..

When a starter is injured, will the bench player fill-in for the stats?

When a starter is playing poorly in ANY game, would the bench player fantasy points take over?

When a starter isn't chosen as a STARTER OF THE GAME in the depth, would the bench player (to play as a starter in the game) take over with the fantasy points?

What is your all time NBA Dream Team—starting 5, and 7 bench players?

Here is my All-Time Team:Starters: PG - Magic JohnsonSG - Michael JordanSF - LeBron JamesPF - Charles BarkleyC - Bill RussellBenchSteph Curry, Kobe Bryant, Larry Bird, Tim Duncan, Hakeem Olajuwan, Oscar Robertson.Coach: Phil Jackson (If this team played in the 90's) or Steve Kerr (if played in modern day)WOW. That was actually a lot harder to put together than I thought! Where do you put guys like Shaq, Wilt, and Kareem? Anyways, my reasoning behind my starting 5 had more to do with how I feel they would play together as a good team more than my opinion of who had the greater career. My personal favorite player of all time was Hakeem, but Bill Russell had a way of facilitating everyone on offence. And there may have been better Power Forwards (Tim Duncan played Center y'all...), but Barkley was an amazing rebounder. Let me know what you think!
