How Do I Stay Motivated In School And Get Good Grades

How do I become motivated to get high grades in high school?

You can tape a reminder on your mirror or bedroom door and think about it daily. What kind of life you can have if you barely pass high school or don’t graduate. Nice cars and home, vacations and all sorts of things may be impossible if you can only get unskilled jobs because you couldn't get into college or a skilled trade due to slacking in high school. Saving for retirement is difficult when you must use all of your low wages to survive even with roommates. No one can make you enjoy high school, but being miserable and finishing with good grades to get into college is far better than the alternative. I am old enough to see the difference in my life versus some of my classmates who didn't work as hard for good grades and even more importantly to learn all of the core subjects well like math and English.I can afford a nice house with a pool, a fun car, club membership, concerts and dining out regularly on only my salary. I can afford to take a vacation anywhere I like at least once per year, so my trouble is more about making time and feeling up to doing travel. I have friends who slacked in high school and didn’t get a college degree who are lucky if they can pay all of their bills once they have kids. No big vacations or new cars or home ownership will ever happen for some of them because of the choices they made in junior high and high school.Look up the types of things you would like to have in your lifestyle and how much they cost like a house payment, car payment, plane tickets, hotel and other costs for even a once per year trip. Next look up how much various jobs pay and what type of education you would need to get those jobs. Figure out the life you might want then plan out how to get it.

Need motivation to get good grades in school?

Yes, getting good grades SHOULD be enough motivation for you, but if it isn't, here is an eye opener for you: The job market is tight, and in this day and age, a high school diploma just ain't cutting it anymore. Better jobs go to better qualified people, and that means college, and possibly lots of it. Look at it this way- Say that you have a job opening. You know how applicants you get for that one job opening? About 100. And if you don't have the right amount of experience and education, you won't even be considered a qualified applicant.

How do you stay motivated in high school?

Just try to realize that whatever you do now is gonna come up later. You may be happy settling with certain grades right now because you just wanna move on with your summer, but believe me, when your a senior (I just graduated) and your looking back at those Junior year B's and C's and sometimes worse you sit there and go "What the f*ck was I doing! Those classes were even that hard!!!"

Its worth it to have options with a good GPA later on.

How to stay motivated about studying hard to achieve good grades?

Please read the 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens Book. Not only will you be motivated to study, but you'll know why you're motivated.

Here's a rundown:
1. Be Proactive: recognize that you slack off after a good test, plan for it, write a detailed note of what happens when you slack off (you fail the next test, you lose sleep cramming). Then commit yourself to not procrastinating (tell a friend to keep you on your toes, or just make a promise to yourself--sometimes just an oath keeps us in line)
2. Begin with the End in Mind: See that A. Feel it. Now, work backwards on how you get there. (Set up regular study times, work with someone if you have to, make the goal smaller so that it's less daunting)
3. Put First things First: Is your study time important? More important than fun with friends? More important than family time? More important than eating? (probably not, but you get the point. If you put a list of priorities next to your desk, or on your person, you'll be stronger on your conviction to study. Plus, you'll get more respect from those that you have to put aside for studying; conversely, if you feel studying can be skipped just this once, you won't feel guilty....... you'll know in your heart you need the break, but you're still on track.)

That's the 1st three Habits and I bet even those 3 will improve your outlook.

Here's another tip: remember that High from getting a good grade? every time you're going to let your studies slide....... remember that feeling and how much you want to feel it again. Let yourself know that you only get that feeling with hard work.... and then get to work!

Can you motivate me to work hard to get good grades?

If you don't understand yourself, you don't understand nobody .Start from here or from “WHY you need somebody to give you tool for your self motivation to work harder and to get food grades. Learning is a changing process if you are willing to change. It is your own wish to learn and to develop. When I am talking about self understanding I mean to jump out from comfort zone. On theory it is easy to say but to put in on practice is not...and it is absolutely normal. To know your strenght and your weekness will help in general in everyday life. See learning is not just in school .What you want to achieve and how far you want to be in your life is the core? Make yourself life long learner. Now you can ask me what is life long learner?Life - long learners are curious, have a pssion for learning with drive that comes from within, and are open to whatever learning experience comes along. Life-long learners are willing to go outside their confort zone for new experiences, pose questions about "why"things are, and have the tools and skills needed to answer those questions. Life-long learners have high expectations for themselves, their peers, and are willing to listen to the ideas and experiences of others. They are open-minded, have inner strenght, are interested, and capable of learning, in multiple settings and conditions. Life-long learners have their own world view which is constantly being redefined by learning new things and learning from mistakes as well as accomplishments. The answer is inside you and your motivation as well just you need to wake it :)Greetings,Kiki

What motivates teenagers to stay in school?

I'm a teen, so I think I can answer this...Education, Girfriend/Boyfriend, Good Future. For myself, there are three things that motivate me to stay in school. Here are those three things :Education. Education means good grades and knowledge. Knowledge means power. Power means the ability to do things that you want to do easily. Yep, I study at school so I can get good grades and knowledge. After that I may go to university to gain more knowledge. And after that I may work myself to become a successful businessman or a powerful government official. And after that, I can have power and do things I want to do easily ( for example : giving poor people jobs and shelters, build myself a large house complete with many wonderful facilities and furnitures, doing charities, and many other exciting things...)Girlfriend/boyfriend. As I have mentioned before, education = knowledge = power. Power here doesn't mean like...emm....that power that Barack Obama or Mike Tyson have ( those are Political Power and Physical power respectively ). By power here I mean the ability to do things you want to do easily. So, by becoming smart ( having a lots of knowledge ), I can become powerful and will be able to have my dream girlfriend ( the same applies too for girls, by having power (through education ) they can have their dream boyfriend)...and that's the logic. :)Good Future. Some teens care for their future ( and some foolishly don't ! ). What would I become in 10 years ? or 20 ? or 30 ? Well, I and those teens don't really know ! But we really, really want a good and bright future for us! So, what to do then ? Of course, the obvious answer is study. By studying you'll gain Education. Education=knowledge=power. After getting power, you'll be able to live a happy life in the future because you can easily do many things that you want to do in your life.Well, that's all I can say to answer your question. My answer is based on my personal experience as a teen, so don't take it to generalize the whole teens in the world. But, maybe some teens have the same reasons to stay in school as I do. I hope that my answer helps ! :)*Sorry if my English is bad* :)

School motivation?

Well, start by making sure you understand what you're being taught. Otherwise your presence in school is pointless. Stay organized so you can easily keep track of all your assignments. Make sure you actually do the assignments. The biggest thing is to not be lazy. That will void all the work you put in. Stay organized and on top of your assignments, and do not ever be lazy with the work. Do that, and you're golden.
