How Do I Stop Another State From Sending Me Emails

My e-mail keeps sending spam emails how do I stop it?

Sounds like your E-mail account has been compromised, or you picked up a virus, Arurs.
Immediately have your computer checked for a 'bug' or 'bugs.' If you have the proper programs, do the scans yourself, if not you need to take your computer to some one who can.
Once it is clean of pests, install a firewall and an anti-virus program if you do not have one yet.
I strongly recommend a program for malware and adware also.
After you finish this, then go in and change your password, using a good strong one.
Also, check your account information and make sure no information was changed, if it was change it back immediately.
Then, you will have to inform your contacts that it was not you sending that mail, but they need to check their computers in case they were also infected.

One other possibility could be that it is phishing spam. If there is a link in the email that outwardly displays as amazon.com/blah-blah-blah, place your cursor over it without clicking. Look at the URL displayed in the task bar below. Is it still for amazon.com or a different domain?

How to get Change.org to stop sending me emails?

Hi Matt, It is not difficult to prevent Change.org from sending you emails. If you do not find an Unsubscribe link in their email, you can block their email address or entire domain manually in just a few steps. Generally there is a Spam Management Tool available under Options menu in almost every web based email system where the user can choose to block the email sender. It has many names, It may be called Blacklist, Blocked Email Addresses, Filters, Email Filter, Junk Filter or Spam Filter. Just go to the tool and follow the instructions given on the page. There are two types of Email Filtering Tools.

1. Simple Blacklisting Tool: In this tool a user just gives an email address or a domain name or sender's name to blacklist from further mailing.

2. Junk Email Rules: Here the users create email rules to filter emails and direct them to the desired folder, which can either be trash folder, spam folder or custom user defined folder. You can create new rules or manage existing ones. The following example may be helpful.

Create a Junk email rule:

If "From Name" contains "Example.org" send it to trash folder.

If "From Email" contains "@example.org" send it to spam folder.

However, If you are using Gmail, Hotmail or Yahoo, here are the instructions on how to blacklist an email sender.

For Hotmail:
Tick mark the message in your inbox and Click Sweep > Delete All From...
The system will ask you to confirm "Delete all messages from the following sender?" before you confirm tick mark the option "Also Block future messages".

For Yahoo Mail:
Go to Options > Mail Options
From the Left menu click "Spam"
Under the heading "Blocked Email Addresses", there is an option to "Add a blocked email address" Write in the box, the email address you want to block and click "Add" button.

For Gmail:
Click the Tool Icon > Settings
In the Settings menu, Go to "Filters" Tab and Click "Create new filter".
Under the Heading FROM:
Type in the Email Address/Domain Name or Company Name of whom you do not want to receive emails and Click "Create filter with this search", On the next page Tick mark the Option "Delete it" and Hit the Button "Create Filter". Thats it.

How do I stop XRATED mail or singles sites from emailing me ?

Stop signing up for them!!!

j/k

But for real, just get a new email address, and then in a year when it starts up again, get another new email address. Switching isn't as painful as it sounds in most cases.

Also have a free email account (gmail or yahoo) that you use to sign up for random online things, that way you never have to worry about getting that junk mail in your regular account.

Hacked: Who is sending me annoying emails from my own email address? How do I stop them?

Is the email actually being sent from your account? Check your recent "sent" emails. Do you see any of those emails in the sent folder? Check the email's details. If it's Gmail, try clicking the "show original" link. You might find some useful information in there... Otherwise.. It's just computer trickery. If these emails ARE in fact being sent from your account, you can try stopping it by better protecting your account. Change your password and set up 2 step verification or something. If they aren't being sent your account, it's going to be nearly impossible to stop. I don't know if spammers will be a thing of the past... Just mark the email as spam, skip the inbox, and ignore them.

If you send threatening emails to someone, can you be tracked by the U.S. police?

If they care enough about the case, yes.In the limit, they call me, or Eric Allman, or about 50 someones who actually know their shit when i comes to email and … other things, and they convince us it’s a meritorious use of extralegal means. Then they willfully look the other way.In exchange, we get to stretch muscles which don’t see a lot of exercise, and they get to have “unnamed informants” give them probable cause for a warrant for each of the points between “A” and “B”.They get the warrants, and they find the data exactly where their informants told them it would be (everyone is officially surprised), which expedites subsequent warrants. But they have to care. And dude.If it’s a terrorist threat: higher powers with more mojo already know, and it’s not the police you have to worry about, because those are not police, if they are wearing ninja suits.Note that sometimes “higher powers” get bored, and “an email happens to show up” in a police mailbox.I’m pretty sure there’s a “semantic classifier” somewhere that labels such things as “dick move by XXX; path A → B is as follows”, with “Actionable foreign intelligence: Y/N” having a value of “N” and a “Submit Anyway” button in near clicking distance.Do Not Taunt Happy Fun Ball.

Is it possible to block someone from sending me postal mail?

You need to get a restraining order. If you're in the US, that should be all you need-almost all jurisdictions can prohibit contact from the person the order is against, including by mail.

How to go about getting the restraining order depends upon where you're getting it, and why you're getting it. In a lot of states and localities, there may be non-profit or government organizations set up to assist victims of abuse with getting a restraining order. In others, you may need to go straight to filing with the courts in your area (either with the assistance of an attorney or, if you feel comfortable, representing yourself).

After the restraining order is granted, the person who is harassing you would be subject to arrest if they continue to contact you in violation of the order. That's true even if they live in a different city or state, at least in the US.

If you have previously asked the person to cease contact with you, make sure to bring copies of any communication with them in which you made that request to court when you are requesting the restraining order. That will help in showing that harassment is continuing despite a clear statement that continued contact was unwelcome.

Prevent Google Play from sending email?

I continue to get email sent to my Driod cell phone from Google Play. I value my privacy and would like, very much, to stop these message from being sent to my phone. However, I have not been able to figure out how to stop Google Play emails from being sent. I cannot reply to the email (it bounces). The email states that I've asked for this service. Well, if I did then I did not do so intentionally. I suspect that I might have installed an app on my Droid phone and that might have created/caused Google Play to send me email messages. If that is the case then I'm sure I simply didn't see the fine print explaining this. I don't know. At this point I'm likely to never use applications for my Driod given the annoyance and amount of time/effort expended in trying to stop spam.

Back to the question: How do I remove and/or prevent Google Play from sending messages to my gmail account?
