How Do I Stop Receiving Email From Whom I Do Not Like To Accept

Lately I've been receiving friend requests from girls whom I don't know personally. What could be the reason?

I've been on Facebook for quite a number of years—long enough to know that random girls who send me friend requests on Facebook are really far more likely to be middle-aged men running networks of fake “dating” sites registered in Russia or Cyprus and running on servers in Kiev. You can spot them pretty easily. The profile pic is a bikini picture or a bathroom selfie in a skimpy dress. The Facebook page is either nothing but hot photos or hot photos with one text entry saying something like “"Chillin with my friends tonight!” and a bunch of emojis. If you accept the friend request, you'll sooner or later get a Facebook message like “I'm looking for some sexy fun check out my naked pics ;) ;) go here >>>>>>” followed by a Google or Bitly shortlink. Clicking on it takes you through a series of redirectors to MegaFuckBook or some other phony pay-for-play scam “dating” site. There seem to be about four major players in this scam, and I get so many of these friend requests I have learned to identify which scammer runs which particular Facebook accounts. One scammer always steals the profile pics from Instagram. One scammer always creates fake Facebook accounts using three names drawn from a database, like “Cindy Tiffany Belle.” One scammer always posts fake Facebook status updates that consist of a string of emojis followed by a few words of text, like “dancing with my peeps,” followed by a sentence about being horny. The scams are pathetically transparent, yet invariably when I look at the profile I see they've hooked quite few guys who have accepted the friend requests, and I always wonder: are so many guys so desperate that they'll accept friend requests from anyone with a hot chick in a bikini as the profile pic?

How to stop getting emails from Hollister?

When I was a dumb stupid kid, I used to be obsessed with Hollister and signed up for them to send emails. I'm a lot older, and have grown out of that stage, and could honestly careless about the store. I don't plan on walking in one again. How do I stop getting their emails?

Stop receiving disqus messages?

Stopping unwanted mails
yahoo automatically sorts out mail and sends spam to your spam folder, but some do get thru. What I do is,as I get them, I click on the spam button, and you wont see that one again. When I open my mail and go to inbox I just delete all the spam with the trash can and not even look at it.

Block an email address:
1. Click the gear icon in the upper-right corner of the window, and select Mail Options from the menu that appears.
2. In the left pane, select Blocked Addresses.
3. In the Add an address field, cut and paste or type the email address of the person from whom you don't want to receive mail from.
• To block a domain: Enter just the domain name in the "Add an address" field. For example, to block emails from all @sample.com addresses, enter "sample.com".
Click the "+" (plus sign) button at the right of the list.
The address (or domain) is added to your list of blocked
addresses.

How to get Change.org to stop sending me emails?

Hi Matt, It is not difficult to prevent Change.org from sending you emails. If you do not find an Unsubscribe link in their email, you can block their email address or entire domain manually in just a few steps. Generally there is a Spam Management Tool available under Options menu in almost every web based email system where the user can choose to block the email sender. It has many names, It may be called Blacklist, Blocked Email Addresses, Filters, Email Filter, Junk Filter or Spam Filter. Just go to the tool and follow the instructions given on the page. There are two types of Email Filtering Tools.

1. Simple Blacklisting Tool: In this tool a user just gives an email address or a domain name or sender's name to blacklist from further mailing.

2. Junk Email Rules: Here the users create email rules to filter emails and direct them to the desired folder, which can either be trash folder, spam folder or custom user defined folder. You can create new rules or manage existing ones. The following example may be helpful.

Create a Junk email rule:

If "From Name" contains "Example.org" send it to trash folder.

If "From Email" contains "@example.org" send it to spam folder.

However, If you are using Gmail, Hotmail or Yahoo, here are the instructions on how to blacklist an email sender.

For Hotmail:
Tick mark the message in your inbox and Click Sweep > Delete All From...
The system will ask you to confirm "Delete all messages from the following sender?" before you confirm tick mark the option "Also Block future messages".

For Yahoo Mail:
Go to Options > Mail Options
From the Left menu click "Spam"
Under the heading "Blocked Email Addresses", there is an option to "Add a blocked email address" Write in the box, the email address you want to block and click "Add" button.

For Gmail:
Click the Tool Icon > Settings
In the Settings menu, Go to "Filters" Tab and Click "Create new filter".
Under the Heading FROM:
Type in the Email Address/Domain Name or Company Name of whom you do not want to receive emails and Click "Create filter with this search", On the next page Tick mark the Option "Delete it" and Hit the Button "Create Filter". Thats it.

How do I stop getting emails from websites I don't want to get emails from?

Yours is a question related to finding the "Holy Grail" ...Your problem is called SPAM, lots of unwanted and unsolicited e-mails coming into your mailbox.   Getting rid of them is hard.   The most common solution is to mark them as SPAM and let your e-mail system software handle them...that is, put them in a SPAM folder where they will eventually be deleted for good.Ah, but here is the delicate balance:  Sometimes, an email is marked as SPAM when in reality you DID NOT want it discarded as such,  this is a "False Positive (SPAM)", so, you have to tell or teach your email system to NOT put into SPAM mails coming from that sender, or maybe with "that" specific subject....  But them  similar SPAM messages will pass thru and re-appear in your mailbox. And this is a never-ending story of SPAM management in the Internet era.SPAM is here and it won't go away in the foreseeable future, so, learn to leave with it.... Sorry for the bad news.

Spam Filtering: How could I stop getting mails from "Mail delivery subsystem"?

So your emails are bouncing. There could be a few major reasons for this. Here are the most likely ones:the address you are sending to doesn’t exists (either your contact is wrong or there is a typo)your domain has been blocked by your recipient or a spam filterYour message is too largethe mailbox you are sending too is fullOf these, the easiest to deal with are the first three. It is worth it to read the response you get to figure out which one it is.To get the easy ones out of the way:if the message is tool large, remove some of the media and other bulky content from itif the mailbox is full, schedule the message to be sent after you think the recipient has cleared their mailboxThe other two mean that your message is being treated as spam.If the address doesn’t exist, delete it. The more bounces you get, the worse your sender reputation will be, which might get you on a blacklist. If your domain has been blocked by the recipient, it either means:They don’t want to receive messages from you because they look like spam. You can read here about how to make your emails look less like spam: Avoid the Spam Folder: Get Your Customer to Read Your Cold EmailThey wanted you to stop sending them messages and you didn’t comply. This is illegal and generally a bad practice. For more info about North American spam laws, you can read this article: Sales Outreach Emails In Light of Anti-SPAM LawsIf you have been blocked by a spam filter, you may have been put on a blacklist. You can read here about how to comply with spam filters and get off blacklists: Avoid the Spam Folder: Get Your Customer to Read Your Cold EmailIt is also worth authenticating your domain as spammers can hijack domains to do their spamming. This can leave your sender reputation in tatters and lead to more responses from the Mail Delivery Subsystem.

How do I block getting emails from someone?

I assume this is junk email. In which case black list them by one of the following depending on what email client you use:Unsubscribe if its from a reputable mailing list.Blacklist.Mark as Junk/Spam.Apply a filter/rule to send the emails to junk/trash.Report them if its really unpleasant (which you can do on Outlook.com.If the email is from friends/colleagues then:Ask them to take you off their distribution list.Tell them to stop sending you emails but say why you do not want to receive. their emails. If all else fails set up a new email account and only give it to those from whom you really want to receive emails. For more tip like these see my website Mesmo Consultancy and book ‘Taking Control of Your Inbox’.

How can i stop porn and unwanted email from outlook express?

You can do this by creating filters to move the unwanted mail directly to the "Delete" folder.

However, since these mails do not come from the same source everytime, you may not be able to just block one address and then feel safe ....

This option is available from the "Tools" menu as well as "Message" menu ...

You can either create a rule to handle your message from an existing mail.. when you can use

-----> Message | Create Rule From Message...

If you want to create a rule from scratch you can use the

------>Tools | Message Rules | Mail ....

In setting a rule,

You choose what the program should look out for in identifying a mail....

one or more words in the "From" field or "To" field or "Subject" field or "Message Text"

email address

... etc

Then you can set how the program should handle the mail..

send it to a folder directly ("Delete" folder or any other folder you may create"

What is coming into your computer through outlook express is something you cannot regulate. What you receive is mail stored in a folder on your internet service providers computer or the mail provider from whom you have got your pop mail account (like mail services or your organisation web site etc).

If they have a spam filter working on that computer, then they may block mail (they treat as spam) being delivered to their clients. You may report to them so that they may help you out ...

If not, setting filters using outlook express is your only solution.

Can I sue a company for not unsubscribing me when I request to be unsubscribed from a mailing list?

There is a well-known .com with whom I inadvertently signed up for weekly mailings. I have since attempted to unsubscribe, but their email unsubscribe link does not work. I emailed their technical support team, describing the problem and requesting that they manually unsubscribe me. They emailed me back saying they did, but they actually didn't, as I continue to receive emails from them.

Can I sue this company? And would it be worth my time? (I guess being worth my time would mean winning more than $4,000.)

Thanks
