How Do I Switch What Is Showen On Monitors If I Hook Up A Second One To My Pc

KVM switch fuzzy monitor?

On my new computer, a brand new HP with Win/7, the image on my monitor is fuzzy. I have the computer set up to a KVM switch, which is also connected to another, older, computer. The image on the old computer is clear and fine as can be. However, as I said, the image on my new computer is fuzzy.

However, when I disconnect the VGA cable from the monitor to the KVM switch and connect that cable directly into the computer, (the new computer) the image is fine. Does anyone know what could cause a KVM switch to fuzz up an image on one computer but not on another?

Could it have anything to do with the operating system? I know that it's neither the computer nor the monitor, because the image is perfectly fine when the monitor is directly connected to the computer. Thanks!

My GPU has one HDMI output, how can I connect two monitors with (2x) HDMI inputs?

If you have two displays that are HDMI only (meaning they don’t support DVI or DisplayPort inputs) it would depend on the outputs your video card hasFirst, if at least one of those displays does at least support DisplayPort and the video card has at least one DisplayPort (regular or mini), just connect one via HDMI and the other via DisplayPort, they should be equal in video quality and you shouldn’t notice the differenceIf DisplayPort is not an option on the display, get a DisplayPort to HDMI converter (either dongle or cable) and connect it from the DisplayPort port on the card to the HDMI of the displayThe same can go for DVI and VGA, there are also HDMI converters for both, both in dongle and cable forms (using VGA for worst case scenario)a VGA to HDMI converter may require a powered converter of some sort and the resolution may be less than desired, hence worst case scenario

Can I hook up two computers to one monitor, without transferring the VGA cable?

Yes, you are looking for a device called a KVM switch. This switches input and USB controls quickly via a switch. If your monitor has multiple inputs and you don't need a USB switch, you can just hook both up to the monitor and switch between them using the monitor’s OSD.

Can two monitors, two keyboards & two mouses be connected to one CPU and can those two monitors, keyboards & mouses act as two different computers?

Well, yes and no, I will answer each in a multipart answer“Can I connect two mice, keyboards and monitors into the same computer”-Yes, by connecting two of each, Windows (and other OSs) will see them all as HIDs (Human Interface Devices)/ displays and will work right away“Can it work as two separate computers”-Not out of the box, it needs extra hardware/software to do so, and it may not be entirely legal depending on OS, the question is not can it, but how?“How can one computer work as two?”-Well, starting with legality, it is against Microsoft’s EULA for two users to use the same running version of Windows on the same hardware (Microsoft considers this as theft as you need one license per current user, so you would need to be running two licenses or CD keys at once for two users to be using Windows at once), this is why if you use Remote Desktop, Microsoft blocks access to all other user accounts or it kicks the remote user offline (there is an unsupported patch to get around this though)Just like this patch, certain software needs to be installed, and possibly extra hardware, in order to differentiate each HID device and display, allowing each mouse/keyboard to work Independently from each other, and which keyboard is being used along with each mouse which is being used along with each display, keep in mind this is still against Microsoft’s EULA, thus if you can’t get this, Microsoft will NOT help you, Microsoft will also not offer such software (unless you have to pay for and activate a secondary license), that means you will have to look for third party software to do so, yes this software exists, but it is not supported or allowed by MicrosoftMacOS and all distros of Linux on the other hand do allow multiple users at once, but it is still not supported out of the box, extra software is still required, certain Linux distros may offer such software in their repositories, but not all (and it may be hard to install and set up), as for Apple, I don’t think they have any in-house software for such a thing, though with enough digging there is bound to be something

Can I use two CPUs in one monitor at the same time?

First, what do you mean by ‘CPUs'?A CPU is a physical component inside your computer, the brain if you will. Very few computers actually have two (or more) separate CPUs, servers typically. But, I suppose you mean the big box with all the lights that your keyboard and mouse plug into, in such case, the answer is, it depends. Does your monitor support multiple input devices, like a TV?If so just connect up, and switch source as required. If it doesn't, you'll need a KVM switch, which will allow you to connect two PCs to a single monitor and keyboard/mouse set.

Setup a Second monitor using intel 82945G?

This is the easiest...get a usb to vga adapter: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...

The problem with this, is that it will be fine for displaying Word docs, etc, but it would be crappy for gaming.

If this is a desktop motherboard, you might have a PCI-E slot for an add in video card. intel 82945G is the chipset, not the make or model of motherboard....can you post the make and model? Would be able to tell if you can install a video card,

Can I use a single PC monitor to play both PS4 and PC?

Yes.You’ll need an HDMI splitter from amazon or ebay or whatever your preference store. In theory,it should work pretty easily. Notw that both can be turnwd on at thw same time, but the screen cannot multi display both the console and the PC at thw same time. You must switch between the HDMIs before using any one of them (there is usually a swotch on the splitter for that).Hope it helpsClatter.

Do I need a PC monitor if I'm buying a VR headset for my PC?

I wish I could say no, but we are not there yet.Today, you will still need your legacy 2D monitor. There are actually some software made it possible to work with your computer in VR quite smooth, but you have to config it to auto startup in your windows, which could not be done without monitors. Also some of them may not support multi-monitors.Here is one example. It is pretty usable. The VR resolution is not high enough for usual text reading, but you could make the desktop much larger to compensate.
