We found a baby bunny on the side of the road and sites have said to put it back. But we've touched it! Help!!

My brother and his friend found this bunny on the side of the road, and we've touched it and fed it and stuff. Some sites say to return it to where you found it and others say to take care of it. My friend and I want to keep it at one of our houses, but we just don't know what to do with it! Please HELP!!!!!!!

How does one feed and care for a baby bunny?

If your cat caught it, do not attempt to feed it. You need to contact a wildlife rehabilitate local to you who can start it on antibiotics immediately. The bacteria in cats mouth can kill small animals (like baby bunnies) in about 24 hours.

In the meantime, while you are trying to contact someone...keep it warm and quiet (away from pets, and don't continue to handle it). Rabbits will die from stress caused by humans and the scent of pets.

And it does have a mother. Your cat has found the nest of rabbits and should not be allowed to go back outside. It will only continue bringing babies to you. You will almost never see the mother wild rabbit. She is close to keep an eye on the nest, but not close enough to draw the attention of predators. She feeds usually in the early morning and evening hours and for the briefest of moments.

I found what looks like a baby rabbit in my rabbit cage. Is this my rabbit’s baby? I only found one. What should I do now?

“I found what looks like a baby rabbit in my rabbit cage. Is this my rabbit’s baby? I only found one. What should I do now?”It looks like one, yes. It also looks to be deceased. You can check to see it it's still alive, but you probably already have the answer from having laid it out for the photo.Get your rabbit spayed. It will extend her life. Unspayed rabbits get uterine cancer in very high numbers. Rabbits will also multiply like, well, rabbits. If you have a buck, aka male, get him neutered. He’ll be a lot calmer.Rabbits are living creatures, obviously. One can't just own them and expect things to go smoothly. Have a knowledgeable vet take care of your rabbit. They get health issues that, if left untreated, will kill them. Go at least twice a year even if there's nothing wrong. Consider it well-bunny check-ups/preventative medicine. Your vet will see teeth problems when they're starting to develop.

Dog attacked baby bunny, how do i take care of it?

My dog found a baby bunny and played with it a bit, i have had many bunnies before but I'm not sure how to feed this one. I picked it up and put it into a small hamster cage filled with hey and greens but its just a little baby and i don't know how to give it water/milk. Her eyes are open and everything but she's still quite young. I brought her in for the night in the cage to keep warm but I don't know if she's gunna make it through the night. I know your probably gunna say bring it to a humane society but I'm just a kid and have no idea where one would be so for now I just wanna make sure shes okay, they find a place for her. her one foot is a bit limp but on a side of that its mostly shock. SERIOUSLY anything would help! please!!!!!!!!! oh and my dad said leave her alone for a bit to get better but i wanna make sure she has enough food and everything, what should I do? thanks!!!!http://www.michaelandjudystouffer.com/judy/blog/images/tiny_baby_bunny Thats what it looks like<<<<<<<

I just found a baby rabbit. About 5 inches long, eyes are open. Help what do I feed it? No store open? milk?

I rescue wild orphans. DON'T give it milk. The first thing is water. Use an eye dropper and let it lick the water from the tip. Put it in a small box with a towel for warmth. Put the box where it will not be disturbed by other animals and will not get too hot or cold. Do not handle this animal unless you are giving it water

In the morning, go to the pet store and get "cat replacement milk". There will be a small bottle you can get too. Follow the instructions on the can.

Do not allow the animal to get frightened. Rabbits tend to die from stress. Make sure you only handle it to feed it. When it gets settled in a day or so, put some dark greens like dark leaf lettuce in the box. If he eats it, you can cut back on the milk. This animal should be released within a week or so. It is wild and should remain so. Take it to any wild refuge or to the largest park you know of. When you release it, leave a small pile of food, lay the box on its side and walk away knowing you did the right thing.

Rabbit found in swimming pool.. how do i care for it?

Ok earlier today my roommate and I found a little bunny swimming in our pool. We caught it and dried it off and put it in a box with some water and lettuce and a towel but it hasn't eaten anything and we haven't seen any rabbits around where we live so we're not sure what to do with it. Any suggestions? Especially any on what it might actually eat?
