How to tell my boss I want to Quit?

I was offered a better position, I really hate my job as a house keeper at a hotel but as I'm finishing my degree more and more doors are opening. I'm scared to tell them I no longer will be working there. We are so short staffed as it is. I fear the disappointment. But the job is minimum wage for a lot of work and I feel like if I was offered something better to go for it I'm the one who's going to school so I don't have to scrub toilets and make beds so I shouldn't feel guilty but I do. Help! :(

How do I tell my boss I want to quit my job?

I think you have created an mess now , within two months you changed planed for higher studies no employer would like if employee is leaving within 2 years and resigning now would create an bitter relation which might not be fruitful for future and might not provide experience letter (if you really want that)I can suggest you two strategies 1) Ask your boss that you need to discuss something very important and cook up an story for eg you had an dream to be xyz in life but due to xyz reasons mostly financial you weren't able to pursue but now ur relative is sponsoring you and blah blah ...make it emotional thing and this way you won't burn the bridge for future job prospects .2)The bitter way take your salary and abscond ,no drama ,no tension I would recommend the first method but the choice is yours .All d best for future.

Should I tell my manager I quit before my shift or after?

its just cortousy to give 2 weeks notice..its not like they can force you to work..you should probly do it before....i fire people at my work and i always do it first thing....i would feel slimy letting them work all day knowing im going to fire theme

How to tell my parents I want to quit my job?

I have been working at a grocery store since may. it sucks and i would do anything in the world to not go there and work. I am 17 and I am very involved in theater and i have the obvious school work but now that i got into this play it is going to take up a lot of my time but when i asked my mom what to tell my work she was like "you should have thought of this before you tried out for the play" and i asked her why on earth do i need to be so focused on work...why cant i do something i love and she blew up in my face "YOU HAVE TO WORK."

i am a junior in high school. i have my whole life to work. i just want to quit this job and after the play is done then get a new job somewhere else.

How should I make a fair case to my parents? I know they are 100% going to get mad. dont tell me to suck it up. I have for this long. Everything there is not worth it and it mentally drains me. I dont have time to myself. This is all so confusing but what would you do in this situation?

How can I tell my boss that I lied on my resume and want to quit?

I once had to quit a career job because of health reasons. I wrote my letter of resignation the night before and handed it to my boss in the morning.Writing it out helps you to be clear what it is you are doing and why. It also makes it harder for your boss to convince you to stay and is a permanent physical record, so make sure you sign it and keep a copy.I’d leave out the bit about lying on your resume as that could lead you to getting into legal trouble. If they employed you and haven’t ended that employment then that can only happen if they’re satisfied with the work you do.Telling your boss that you “want” to quit puts them in an awkward situation as they can view that as making you not feasible to continue employing. You could then find that they sack you in order to end your employment when they wish to.Unless you have an alternative income revenue stream, consider looking for a replacement job before you resign. That way there’s less chance your boss will convince you to stay as you’ll only end up jeopardising your new job.Being stuck in a job that you don’t want to be in is incredibly damaging to mental health that will lead onto other health problems, so don’t just stick your head in the sand and hope it magically fixes itself. This is one journey where you need your hands on the steering wheel.
