My mom won't let me get my eyebrows done!!!?
okay well your mom is just looking out for you, and i have the same problem with my mom. i dont reccomend telling her that you are 16 and mature enough to do this, because i know atleast my mom will always look at me as her little girl. i think that you should ask your mom when she got them done at a teen, and what she would reccomend to do. if she says that she went ol' natural... well then i would just pull the "oh but the other girls at school are making fun of me card" that always works.... but really your brows dont make you as a person, and i get it, i mean you want them done. so do i, but until your out of the house, you should respect your moms wishes (not trying to be a weenie here) but what you can do do acheive the shape you want is use a brow powder like this one: http://www.sephora.com/brow-powder-duo-P69300?skuId=929778 or you could even use this kit that works really well http://www.sephora.com/brow-envy-brow-shaping-defining-kit-P279509?skuId=1314012. speak to her about how it makes you feel just asking out of the blue might seem weird so tell her you really do not like how they are, and the bit in the middle 12 sounds young but you are at the age where you notice these things more and a little tidying up of the eyebrows isnt too much to ask they are right there on your face, you cannot hide them so it is best to deal with them getting them waxed just to tidy and shape is no big deal and its not expensive does your mother get it done per chance? if she does you could ask to go with her next time

Calmly listen to her reasons why she is against it. How old are you? 15 or younger, I don’t think you need it unless you have a unibrow. 15 -/2 yrs old or older, there might be issues of ongoing up keep. If you really want it, save your money or ask for it for a birthday gift.Think about her reason why not for 24 hours and then ask if you can discuss it. Don’t whine or cry or pout. If you act mature, she will be impressed and maybe soften up a bit.

Im 13 btw. My parents are kinda strict. Like they won't let me wear makeup and wear shorts and stuff and i don't disagree with this. But when I asked my mom to get my eyebrows done (they're bushy and ugly) she said no. I asked her why and she said I will look too old, that the next step is me asking for wearing fake lashes and makeup, that i will become like the other girls who wants just boy's attention and that I won't get them done until i'm 18... Because when she first get them done she was 18 (she's from north africa muslim) and my dad had sorta no opinion but when my mom says no in stuff like this, he says no too... So please i need help, also she warned me i better never touch my face or do something on my face cause she will notice it. I NEED TO CONVINCE HER... im feeling so sad seeing all these girls with perfect eyebrows and me with ugly disgusting thing...

if you know the structure of your face and how your brows should compliment your facial features , then no need for a brow artist to work on you especially if your getting commended on how great of a job your doing. If you feel confident in your look, KEEP GOING!

you're exactly like me. i'm fourteen as well with really thick, brown eyebrows. my mom has taken me to get facials and my legs waxed before but never my eyebrows. i hated my eyebrows as well because it looked almost like a uni brow! i was embarrassed to stand close to people. it's not too hard to bring up the topic with your mom. if she's asked you before what you want to do with your eyebrows, simply say, "i'd like to get them cleaned up with a wax." you don't have to get a whole new shape with wax for your eyebrows. i get them "cleaned up" (wax any stray hairs and the middle of the eyebrows) there's not much else to say to your mom after that. if she does her eyebrows at a certain place, i'd recommend going there first to see if you like it. if not, try someone new.

I'm 12 1/2 years old and going into the 7th grade. Unfortunately, I got the hairy gene. I've been tweezing the strays of my brows for a while now but they still look like an old man's eyebrow. A lot of girl started doing it at my school, and they're able to pull back their bangs in pretty hairstyles. I can't because my eyebrows are bushy and aren't the same shape. My mom won't let me because I'm 'too young' but in my last question, people started at age 11-13. She also says its because I look fine without it. Which is a lie. So my question is, what are some good reasons to get them done, and if you have gone through this, how did you convince your mom into letting you do your eyebrows?
