How Do I Tell The Difference Between Bed Bug Bites And Heat Rash

How do you tell the difference between acne and bed bug bites?

First thing you want to do is look for bedbugs. Contrary to popular belief, bedbugs are big enough to physically see them. An adult is about the size of an apple seed and you will see them nesting in bedframes, mattresses, baseboards living room furniture, nightstand, etc. You will possibly spot specs of black fecal matter in the corners of these items also.Although the bites can appear similar, the bites will sometimes be itchy. You don't actually see the bedbug their saliva will act as a local anisthetic to allow them to feed without you being aware. When all else fails contact a local pest control company, most will offer a free inspection. Also they are very rarely annihilated with one treatment so be sure and seek out a company that will do multiple treatments over about 90 days for the price they quote

How do i tell the difference between bed bug bites and heat rash?

Do they itch? Bed bug bites tend to itch and are usually in a line of 3. Check you bed for common signs such as live bugs, shells or fecal stains. It might also be a combo of the new watch and the heat irritating it. Either way I would continue sleeping in your bed because if it was bed bugs they would just travel to find food, thus spreading the infestation. If you see any more bumps any place, I'd do a really good check but I'd say its most likely the heat and watch

How do you tell the difference between bug bites and rash from a weed or plant?

bug bites get bigger but dont spread... if they scratch their arm and then their face with the same hand and they break out on their face then its a rash from something...

How can you tell the difference between hives and bed bug bites?

What a great question. I went to an allergest for about 8 months, trying to figure that one out. Doctor had no ideal what it might be. I took all the allergry tests to find nothing. The nurse told me it looked like bites to her, so I thought I could have bed bugs. I pulled up the mattress and found a bug, yes a bed bug. I had taken one very exspensive shot (about 2000 dollars by then and I took no more shots. Found the nest and destroyed them with mattress covers.

Rash or bed bug bites?

I have itchy bumps all over my legs, butt, and arms. They start off as the same color of my skin and if I scratch them, they turn red and stay red. First I considered bug bites bc there were only about 30 or so, mostly on a patch on one of my legs. The next day I woke up to more on both legs and arms. However, none are in rows like I've read online ("breakfast, lunch, and dinner"). However, my boyfriend and daughter (we cosleep) have none. I've looked all over our bed and couch and can't find any signs of bed bugs or their poop.

Then I got to thinking, I just started taking B12 supplements and I read some people do break out in a rash from it. I took them right b4 falling asleep, which could explain the bumps/itchiness being there when I wake up. This didn't click until the night b4 last. I took my b12 pill, fell asleep for a few hours, and woke up with more bumps/itchiness. I didn't take the b12 last night and didn't wake up with any new bumps. But the current ones are still here and not any less itchy.

They generally don't itch unless I touch them or something like clothes rub against them. Or if I go out in the heat they start itching again too.

So does it sound like bug bites (and they're taking a break which is why there are no new ones)? Or a reaction to the B12?

b4 thinking of the B12, I went to urgent care and the dr said she couldn't tell if they were bites or a rash and said to put hydrocortisone cream on them and take benadryl. but I'd rather not since I'm breastfeeding. I'll just control myself to not itch too much. Should I go back and mention the B12 or wait a few days and see if not taking the B12 helps?

ALSO...they are literally all over my arms and legs, way too many to count. It'd be like trying to count the stars lol

Bed bugs or heat rash?

Pull up the the corners of the sheets on your mattress. If you see a bunch of small black (dark spots) under the seams in the corners of your mattress you may have bed buds. You may even see a few crawling around there. They will bury themselves in the mattress. Their bodies are flat looking, redness from biting. Small insects. Can you call a Pest Control business and see if they can check your premises for these pests? Growing-up my cousins had them and they had to throw away the mattress. They were even under the wallpaper in their home. Also sometimes spiders bite and leave red areas that swell slightly. Good luck.

Heat rash or bed bugs?
