How Do I Train A Cat Basic Commands Like Sit Lie Down Ect

How do I train a dog/cat to lick my feet?

I hear that dogs love to lick human feet, and I hear that it feels really good when you get your feet licked by a dog. Since the dog and I both enjoy it, how can I train a dog to lick my feet? I plan to get a husky puppy soon, so how do I train the husky to lick my feet? Also, how can I train a cat to lick my feet?

How do I train my dog to tilt his head on command?

For photography purposes, and to have one more trick to add to his arsenal.
Nothing I really do makes him cock his head so it's almost impossible to catch the behavior and click and reward.
I've searched all over the internet and can't find a tutorial or method of teaching it.
Is there a way to go about it if he doesn't typically do it?

Can cats be trained to sit?

I trained 3 kittens to sit on command in less than 3 days. These babies were abandoned at 7–10 days old in a 5 gallon bucket of mud. I took them home, dropper fed them milk (the kitty kind), taught them to use the litter box, gave them tons of stimulating activity and when the time to start training came I taught them very easily. Lots of love & praise & ZERO anger or frustration along with putting one kitten at a time in front of me with a favorite treat just out of reach & saying the word sit while gently pushing the kitten in to a sitting position. Once their butts touched the floor, if even for just a few seconds, they got a treat. Having one kitten show the other two helped a lot too. In the beginning I did it a few times at each playtime & before I knew it my babies were sitting like pros. These beautiful babies are now 10 months old and I taught one of them to play fetch about 3 or 4 months ago. She's amazing, the other two just love to watch so hopefully they'll pick it up too.

How does one go about teaching a cat to obey commands like no, stay, etc.? Kashska incessantly gets between my eyes and the smartphone because it wants attention. Is it possible to even teach a cat such things?

Cats are remarkably resistant to taking orders, which is one of the things I like about them, not being fond of authority myself. However you can train a cat to a stern, but not shouted, NO! removing it from the place you need to train it not to go [I have an aga; in the summer I train them not to jump on it because in the winter they will burn their feet.] Some cats will come for their name, or a particular noise [I don’t count opening a pack of dreamies; all cats come for that noise] or a particular tune. Some cats will walk to heel on a lead, but only if they think this is a good idea. NO however is possible but it takes patience and you MUST include praise as well. And by the way, I am usually typing on my laptop with a cat on each forearm because I’m better trained by them than they are by me. Of course you can always buy Kashka her own tablet with a fish screen saver to chase.

How to train cat to be like a guard dog?

Dog's are territorial and have been bred to be more so for literally thousands of years. Cat's simply do not have the same temperament. Cat's are inquisitive and very reactionary to things going on around them. It's very unlikely you will ever have a cat behave in that manner.
I don't particularly like your reason for wanting a savannah. Shouldn't be walking it anywhere you may get mugged. Carry a gun if that is a problem.
Also, think about this, if you are walking a cat on a leash that is spotted, 3-4 feet long and fairly tall, with huge ears, and a triangular face (like a panthers), it's unlikely many sane people will try anything like that. Not to mention, even my F3 girls have claws over 1/2" long and razor sharp.

Can you train cats like you train dogs?

yes but it is more time consuming. it CAN be done, but i'm not going to lie and say it's easy because it's not. certain breeds are more easily trained than others. siamese and oriental breeds seem to pick up on basic commands pretty quickly. cats need to be persuaded a little differently than a dog to respond to commands. there are several books on trick training cats available. try checking your local petstore or doing a general internet search

A dog is smarter than a cat, so how come dogs cannot be trained to use a litter box like a cat can?

I asked my cat what he thought about this.“What does this person mean, ‘dogs are smarter than cats’? “Just answer the question, Oscar. This isn’t a debate.“I suppose you could train a dog to be as fastidious as a cat and use the litterpan, but then the dog would just turn around and eat his poop.”Well, he might.“And, dogs are not smarter than cats. They bark at everything! It doesn’t matter if it’s something they’ve seen a hundred times before, they still bark.”It does suggest a weak long-term memory.“No kidding. Plus, if dogs were so smart, how come they don’t understand that they shouldn’t poop in the house? Humans spend weeks training their dumb dogs to go outside to do that. But, they still poop on the living room carpet. All I needed was to be shown where the litterpan was.”Yes, Oscar, it’s true.“You bet it’s true! And, what about this whole business of training a dog not to jump up on people, or not to chew shoes, or to walk properly on a lead, and…”I get it, Oscar. Dogs have to be trained.“That’s because they take so long to get the point of anything. I only had to be hit with the water gun once, and I was still a kitten!”But, people love their dogs, just as I love you. And other cats.“Oh, maybe I should act like a dog, then! Bark, bark, barkety-bark! I want a snack, where’s the poop? Bark, bark! Your shoes look delicious, when are you going to take them off? Barkety-bark, bark! Bark, bark, bark, bark…”Ok, Oscar, you’ve made your point.“And, if dogs are so smart, why haven’t they trained their People to create as many delicious flavors of dog food as cat food?”They have ice cream for dogs, you know.“…They do? Well, who wants ice cream, anyway! It’s not nearly as good as tuna water. And, what flavors of ice cream do dogs get? Poop flavored?”Some people say that cats and dogs are equally intelligent. Just in different ways.“Bark, bark, barkety-bark!”(Oscar leaves the room in a huff. The moral of this story is, don’t bother to ask your cat anything. It will just annoy him.)

To what extent can Cats be trained?

I saw a performance of Moscow car circus when they were touring (some 10 years ago) - it was amazing. I had a cat which decided (all by her own initiative - no training!) to go on a toilet herself. She couldn't flash it - so invented a method of informing - running rounds like mad in a living room, and only the sound of the rinsed toilet could stop her!
I guess, dogs understand the subordination and the language of orders. Cats are kind enough to sign a peaceful agreement if you manage to convince them.

How many days does a Labrador take to learn basic things like to sit, stay and how many days for a bigger training?

Depends on the dog, but some things can be learned very quickly, but then need to have that behaviour reinforced over a longer time so they can remember. My dog learned to do “High Five” in about 30 seconds, and three weeks later reliably does this behaviour. To be honest, most dogs learn pretty fast- but they also learn that you aren’t serious about them keeping the behaviour if you are inconsistent. If you use a clicker, you can stage training over several days so dogs learn different steps towards a larger task- but smaller steps can be quickly learned and reinforced over time.
