How Do I Transfer Cash From A Vanilla Reload Card To My Netspend Card

Is Vanilla Reload Network a scam?

I purchased a Vanilla Reload Network Prepaid card from 7-11 tonight and put $40 on there.
I come home to find out I have to go to vanillareload.com to enter the pin number on the back which I have. But then I don't have the "card number" that's needed.. it's nowhere to be found on my card.
I looked online and saw an image on the back of one of these cards and, it had a scar ban code with numbers below it. Well, I don't have that.. It's just a long black line for me...
No other numbers but the PIN code..
I believe I have the money on there though, don't I need to activate it though or am I good to go?

One other suspicious thing is... on this Prepaid card it has "Paypal" on it... but I can't add any money to paypal because it only accept MoneyPak? This isn't MoneyPak... what a disappointment. Coming from a store, I would not have thought this would be some kind of scam.

And I'm worried that if I purchase something online.. its gonna ask me for a CVS code or something which this card doesn't have...

So, yeah. These cards are scam correct?

How to refund Vanilla Reload card?

Register the card and spend the funds shopping at a regular store.

Once the card leaves the store it can not be refunded and you can not turn it into cash again.

Have you tried adding the registered card to your PayPal account? That is what it is for. It doesn't work to move the funds to the MasterCard and it wouldn't work whether it is a real credit card or not.

You add the registered Reloadable card to your PayPal account.... not your student MasterCard.

Essentially they are all pre-paid cards. One (gift card) is usually a set amount and you cannot reload money on it.

The pre-paid one (Vanilla Visa) can be reloaded with more money.

Consumer Reports, Creditcards.com and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau have all complained about these cards because they market them as no interest fees, no over the limit fees, etc. However they are usually bloated with other fees such as: fees for buying it, monthly maintenance fee, fee to call customer service or go to ATM, fee for reloading money, etc.

Can I purchase and load a vanilla card with a Walmart gift card?

Sure. If what you refer to as a “vanilla” card is sold at Walmart, you can buy it with a Walmart gift card. For example they sell Visa $25 gift cards; you can pay for it with a Walmart gift card as long as it has enough money on it to cover the face value, plus the charge and taxes for the Visa card. So the $25 dollar card will cost you at least $30 dollars.

Can you add money to a MyVanilla debit card with Paypal?

Alright so I bought a MyVanilla debit card the other day and i only put about 20 dollars on it when i bought it. I have already used the money but the reason i bought it was so i could reload it. I also have a Paypal account for my boss to transfer money onto it. I had a way getting money out, but i was looking into using a card every now and then. But my question is, can i transfer the money from my Paypal account to my MyVanilla debit card? I also saw that there are other types of reloadable debit cards at CVS or Walmart. Can i load money onto any of those with my paypal? I realize there is a Paypal debit card but i do have some reasons to not use one of those. If i cannot load money onto my MyVanilla debit card through Paypal, could anyone who answers please suggest any other debit card that would allow me to do so?

Thanks in advance for any help.

What does it mean by "pending amount" on Vanilla Visa?

I ordered 7 things off of ebay with a vanilla visa gift card. Paypal accepted the card and according to Paypal the payment was sent. But when I check my account balance on Visa's website the last 3 purchases I made are under "pending amount" instead of with the other 4 showing it was taken from the card. But the account also says I only have $1.20 on my balance, indicating that Visa withdrew the money.
What does it mean by "pending amount"?
Did the sellers on ebay get my payments?
