Call the help number on the back of your card. They will block your card and issue you a new debit card. Then go to your branch. Introduce yourself to the manager and explained what happen. It's pretty easy to figure out that you were working or not in the area where your card was skimmed and used. This happens everyday. you will get your money back. You might entertain going with a credit card or cash for purchases. Your bank account will stay intact. It is so much easier to deal with a credit card issue than a debit card issue. I rarely purchase anything with a debit card. Online transactions are always Pay Pal or Credit Card. Link all credit and debt transaction to email then link email to your phone. Every time a card gets used you get a notification. One of my employees is old school. He is cash and check only. He pays nothing online. He basically utilizes a 1975 financial transaction formula. While not very convenient I am seriously considering his model.

I got a refund on my paypal twice. 1. I bought something on ebay got a refund becuase seller lost the item. 2. I bought something off my friend I got a refund cause last minute she did not want to sell. I used my sister credit card for these items. It says I got my full refund on both but how do I get the money back? I did buy 3 more things on ebay using my paypal but with my own credit card ..was the refund money spent on the items I bought? Or is the money there and I have to request a check or transfer it to my bank account? It's a big mess I used my sister's credit card for both of the refunded items she then checked her credit card and it says She was charged with more stuff and it has the ebay user names?! Is ebay stealing her money? Since you are surprised this much, I believe you have been a user of the 2 step authentication where you usually enter an OTP or your secret code.However, this system is enforced only in some countries (like India) and since PayPal is registered in the US, it doesn't require the 2 step authentication.Uber did something like this in India, but I guess they were probably asked to change their system by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and thus they now tied up with PayTm for easy payments.Hope this helps !

It goes back to your method of payment. If you paid with instant transfer, it will go back to your PayPal account then you can transfer it to your bank or your PayPal debit card. In this situation I believe it will go back to your PayPal debit card or if you paid with a credit card, it will appear as a credit on your credit card.

Just a curious question as I put money into my girlfriends PayPal account, but the payment failed as it wasn't a bank verified account. She refunded it back to my account, PayPal is displaying "refunded" on her PayPal account but I haven't recieved the money yet, into my Chase bank account, the money was sent using a debit card through my own PayPal account. The money was refunded on Saturday, so I would have thought it would have cleared by now? Thanks :)
