How Do I Underline Words In My Email

How do I underline the words "while" I'm typing on a PC keyboard?

You're probably not going to be able to underline on website input, because the sites don't handle such effects, and underlining in email is dependent on the email program on your computer. Microsoft Office's Outlook normally uses Microsoft Office Word, so any details given about Word apply.

Mozilla's Thunderbird has a trio of buttons for Boldface, Italics and Underlining, that work either as you type or on a selected text afterward. I think they're functional only if you're sending HTML-based email.

Hope that helps.

How do you underline in new yahoo mail?

With Firefox (36.0.4) and Yahoo Mail for Frontier, Cntrl+U for underline, Cntrl+B for Bold, and Cntrl+I for italic all work for me. These toggle in an out of that font type (underline, etc.) as you type or you can highlight some text and toggle that text to underline it by hitting the Cntrl+U. This does not work if you happen to be within a link. This can happen unexpectedly. In my case I pasted in a link in the first line of the email. I then tried to insert a couple carriage returns at the beginning of the line. When I started typing text at the top of the email it was all underlined and not in the default text color (black). Yahoo mail had duplicated the link I inserted with each carriage return. When I would click on this text it would bring up a dialog box to edit the "Display Text" and the link. By deleting what was in the link box and closing, it would switch the text back to default black and not underlined. I did get an HTML edit dialog box popup when I hit Cntrl+U the first couple time but it must have been because I was in a link or something because I can no longer get the HTML edit dialog box to pop up whether I am in a link or not. Everything is working well for me now (as of 4/14/2015). Note that none of these are listed under in the keyboard shortcuts help.

Yes, it will surely help you as the examiners can never fully read all the answers. So, it is better to underline the main points.

In addition to Josh Manson’s excellent answer, you can right-click on the link, scroll down to “Edit hyperlink” and click the box in the lower lefthand side corner which says “Remove Link”. That will result in the email address being shown as text and not a hyperlink.

How do I stop underlining in an email?

Since you did not state what editor you use to compose with, it is difficult to give a good answer. If you use MSWord, there is an option as to which words are underlined, highlighted, etc. You should be able to drag the mouse across the one word you want and use Cntrl-U to under line it. If there are others underlined you don't want, the highlighting and Cntrl-U thing works also to remove it. This is an old carry over from an ancient word processor and may work for you no matter what you use. Somewhere in the options menu you should find a checkbox that says replies or comments are to be underlined. I remember something like that from an older version of Outlook.

If you continue to type adjacent to the underlined text, it may continued to be underlined. Then, you would have to press Control and U again to stop it.

Where is UNDERLINE in the new version of YAHOO MAIL?

Yahoo has turned into a bunch of Clowns. It wouldn't surprise me if they are all the rejects from all the Enterprise Companies of which they couldn't cut the mustard and were fired or laid off. I guarantee these bozo's truly believe they did something special BUT in actuality they are morons who really need to change professions, we need better people to dry off our cars at the car wash. I wish the worst upon all of the Yahoo developers who can't get email and calendaring working and properly functioning (half the time you can't even cut n paste content from an email). Source: I need bold underlined text with non-bold underlineThere is no obvious simple method to add a non-bold underline to bold text. However, there are always workarounds, in any case. For a thin underline, which does not exactly overlap the text, copy the text below into the editor and replace the text”this is bold” with your text. This is accomplished with the EQ field. Press Ctrl+F9 to make the field active.{ EQ \X\bo(this is bold)}If you want an actual normal underline, use this other variation of the EQ field:{ EQ \O(this is bold,_________)}Replace the underscores with the number you require. You will have to use more number of underlines than the characters, unless it is a monospaced font.Hope this helped.
