How do I embed this video to my PowerPoint?

'Embed' would mean that you have downloaded a video file and want it to play within a powerpoint slide.

Inserting a 'hyperlink' would mean that you assign that web address to some text or object in the presentation, so that clicking it would open a web browser window that goes to the web site.

So, what is it now, and how exactly did you do it? (List every step.)

OK, thanks. Vimeo currently offers two kinds of embed code 'old' and 'new' ... the 'new' code that you get when you right-click the video in that link doesn't work in PP (Office 2010), but the 'old'- style embed code works well. Go to the Vimeo web page of the video (right-click the video and choose 'Watch on vimeo' or go http://vimeo.com/21358982 ), then click the embed code icon in the player and choose to use the 'old embed code'...
Good luck.

I made a video in imovie and it is about 30 minutes long as gift for my relatives. How can I send it in a emai?

Hi Amin, and welcome to Yahoo!Answers:

Most people's email providers have limits on the size for file attachments (e.g., Yahoo!Mail is 10 Megabytes, and Gmail is 25 Megabytes). Your typical 30-minute video file would be much larger than this (60-100 MB for a Windows WMV file, depending on quality settings; Apple QuickTime MOV will run around 90MB or more for 30-min.).

In iMovie you can select a different compressor (codec) to squeeze your video smaller (and use fewer pixels, like the web-friendly 320x240 screen size), but you'll be hard-pressed to make it smaller than 24MB.

There are ways to squeeze a video to even smaller sizes (like those for a mobile phone screen or iPod), but the pixel dimensions are trimmed so small, they won't look very good on a computer or TV screen.

Two options that are fairly easy:
1) You can use a video-hosting site like Vimeo or YouTube (Vimeo's free accounts allow 500MB uploads per week; YouTube lets you upload videos longer than 15-minutes after you verify your account with a mobile phone number). You have the option of marking the uploaded video "private" so that only your relatives can view it.

2) You can use a "cloud" file-hosting/file-sharing service (like Dropbox, which has free accounts), which would let you upload your video to "the Cloud" and then email an access weblink to your relatives which will let them download it. Again, only people you give the link to can access the video.

I put the link URLs to the various hosting sites in my Sources below.

hope this helps,

I uploaded a short film to Vimeo and took it down after a few days. Eight people have downloaded it. Should I worry about piracy now?

If you put it on “the net,” you should assume that it will be downloaded.I am a semi-pro entertainer, now retired. I published as recording of an original song in the usual ways; CDBaby, Spotify, iTunes, etc. The song was pirated in less than an hour. It’s part of the cost of doing business. It’s annoying that my work has been stolen. There are sites out there that make money by stealing music and videos and selling them with no regard to paying royalties. Like I said, it’s part of the cost of doing business.Do I LIKE having my work stolen? Nope.

What is the maximum video file size that can be uploaded on YouTube?

Time Limit for Standard AccountsTheir 2 gigabyte file size limitation is accompanied by a 15-minute maximum duration restriction. Before 2010 all YouTube videos had to be under 10 minutes in length but on July 29, 2010, YouTube announced they had increased their allowed video length to 15 minutes. According to YouTube this was the most requested change by their users and it's a logical move that takes full advantage of YouTube's new 2 gigabyte size limitation. No Size Limit for Partnership AccountsIf you have a YouTube account with original content that gets thousands of views and a Google AdSense account, you can apply to be a YouTube partner. YouTube Partnership accounts let you display ads with your videos and even offer them for rent. The opportunity to make money with YouTube videos is a nice perk -- but YouTube's video size restriction is also waived so you can upload any video you want.Time Limit for Partnership AccountsNot only do YouTube partners have no restrictions on the size of their videos, they also have no restrictions on their length. That's right: you can upload a video of any size or length to your YouTube Partnership account. In fact, YouTube partners can even stream live videos to their accounts and broadcast to their viewers in real time.Reference: Is There a Size Limit for YouTube?
