How Do I View My Questions Asked On Yahoo I Can Only Find Answered Voted Chosen As Best Answer

How do i choose an answer for best answer on yahoo answers?

1) At the top of Answers select the In Voting Tab.

2) Select a question that interests you that is ready to have a best answer selected.

3) Read all of the answers - that is if you are being honest.

4) Select the answer that you think is most relevant to the information asked for in the question.

5) Click on the blue tab just below the answer that you have selected as best answer.

6) You will be able to see how may other people have voted for the same answer as best answer.

7) You will also be able to see what percentage of the votes have been given to that answer as best answer.

8) You will receive 1 point for having given that person a best answer for his/her answer to another persons question.

9) Close out of that question and go to the next question and repeat the process.

If it is a question that you have asked youself:

1) You have to read all the answers that people have given to your question when the question comes up for the best answer to be selected. Otherwise the answer will be left for the rest of us to select a best answer or there will be no winner if no one votes.

2) Write a brief but meaningful message to the winner. You can write a message to the other people who have given answers too if you want to.

3) Give the message a star rating. This is important. It the message is very good and a lot of work has gone into it - that is a lot of web sites and information it is likely to rate a four or five star. On the other hand if there aren't many long and informative answers but the best one still has some information you may give it a three star.

4) Click the best answer button.

5) The person getting the best answer receives 10 points.

How can i choose Best Answer - Chosen by Asker?

✓ For Your Questions:
You can select a best answer after 4 hours. There will be a "vote as best answer" button. You will have 4 days to do it. All your questions and answers are listed in "My Profile".

✓ For Someone Else's Questions:
You will have to wait 4 days if the asker did not pick it himself. There will be a "vote as best answer" button. You must vote before the vote closes after 2 more days.

Where is "select as Best Answer" for one's question? --can never find?

I've had trouble in the past *finding* any button/etc that would allow me to choose a Best Answer and thought I'd looked everywhere for it.

I finally looked up the Help on giving a Best Answer again (it's below) so want to try this again to make absolutely sure I'm looking in the right place, and can find it (in 4 hrs).

Does anyone have any other tips for me on exactly where to find it, or what might prevent it from showing up for me?

What do I have to do once my question has been answered?

Once your question has been posted for at least 4 hours, you can:

* Choose the best answer (must have at least one answer):
CLICK CHOOSE AS BEST ANSWER NEXT TO YOUR CHOSEN ANSWER. Your question is considered "resolved" when a best answer is selected.

* Let the Answers' community choose the best answer (must have at least two answers): Click Edit in the action bar below your question and from the edit menu, select Ask for a Vote.

If you're not satisfied with any of the answers, you can also extend your question's expiration date and wait for more answers. To do this, click Edit in the action bar below your question and from the edit menu select Extend Expiration.

If you don't choose a Best Answer, put it to a vote, or take steps to extend the question, it automatically goes to a vote after 4 days.

Should Yahoo Answer rate Askers?

Yes. Since many of the questions I answered went into vote recently, I checked the profiles of each of the askers. Needless to say I was a bit surprised. There were more "Chosen by Voters" than I thought I would encounter in their resolved questions. I have decided that if the asker does not frequently check answers to his/her question and select a Best Answer to his/her queries, I won't answer, even if the practice results in me losing my Top Contributor badge.

You can check my profile if you like. I ALWAYS maintain the policy of selecting Best Answers to my questions. I check for answers every half hour after a query.

The main problem here is that many askers just want answers to their questions. Once they see a satisfactory answer, they just jot it down (happens a lot in Science and Maths section) and forget about the question. There are even some evil askers who just do not want someone to get 10 points at the expense of their 5.

Yahoo! showing the asker's resolving statistics in the ID card might take up space, but it would really help me decide whether to answer the guy's questions or not. I'm all for rating askers here. ^_^

How do i give someone best answer on yahoo?

If you ask questions, you have to wait for four (4) hours after asking the question in order to choose the "best answer." That's to give folks a fair chance to log in and find your question. Many of us log on and off periodically during the day and we may not be online when you posted.

Once the four (4) hours have elapsed, go back to view the question. You can do that by clicking on "My Profile" near the top the page, right hand side under the word "discover."

Once you're at your profile, look under your avatar (photo) and you'll see a list of all the questions you've answered plus a tab you can click to see the questions where you were chosen as "best answer," the questions you've asked and the questions you've starred.

Click on the word questions and you'll see the list of your questions, click the question and it shows you not only the question but all the answers. There will be a blue box under each answer. Click the box of the answer you liked best. You will get 3 points for choosing.

Be sure you pick the "best answer" before the time for answering expires or it'll be too late, it'll go into voting.

IF YOU DIDN'T ASK THE QUESTION, to vote on unresolved questions click the "answer" toolbar at the top of the page then click on the "vote" tab and it'll show you a bunch of questions in voting.

How do you vote for best answer?

If its your question, you wait 4 hours then you go back in and there should be a blue bubble that says vote for best answer. You click on the one you like the best. You star the answer and leave a comment. You get 3 points for this.

If is a question in voting, then you pick the answer you like best along with other voters. You get 1 point for this. The answer with the highest percentage gets best answer.

You go into any category and go into the voting questions.
