How Do I Work At My New Job Help

I hate my new job. help!?

When I first started my part-time job I HATED IT! And I mean really hated it, I felt like I never got anything right, like everyone was looking down at me and that I was a burden to the company. I felt like this for about a month/month-and-a-half and then all of a sudden I found I was just able to do it! I made some great new friends who I love dearly, I have been given a promotion after only working there for six months and I really enjoy working there now.
My advice is to just keep at it for a little longer, if you have been there for a few months and still hate it this much then quit nobody would blame you for it! :)
Nothing can beat the feeling of that first pay cheque though! There is nothing better than knowing you can go out and buy whatever you want for that first month...until you max out your account :)

Started a new job and my feet hurt! help?

If you're wearing good supportive shoes with sturdy insoles, you should be fine. Regardless, if you're not used to standing for long periods of time, your feet are going to hurt no matter what. After a few weeks you'll feel better.

After work, take it easy, take your shoes off and soak your feet in a foot bath or in the tub. I've even heard of people rolling their feet around on soup cans to ease pain in the arches of your feet.

How does LinkedIn help to get a new job?

One way that LinkedIn helps you to find a job is that companies will discover you when they are searching for people with certain expertise and experience. Some companies mine LinkedIn to find the people they need, rather than advertising a job and waiting for candidates to submit applications. Searching for people in LinkedIn is faster, cheaper and extends the search to people who are qualified but not looking for a job or just missed your ads. You will only be found by these searches if you have a profile on LinkedIn with all the appropriate keywords. I recommend that you check your own profile by running an advanced search for someone like you to see if you appear. Use someone else's computer for this and ask for their help in finding keywords that other people might use.

I HATE my new job... help!?

Week 3 and I'm miserable, unhappy, hate my coworkers and my office environment. It was nothing like what I expected. I can't quit and can't go back to my former employer.

I left my former employer due to the fact they were in dire straights financially. I loved my job and my office (I had the office to myself). Now I'm in close quarters sitting in a cubicle with no windows, an annoying coworker much younger than me who's making 30K more than me and my ego has taken a blow.

I was a manager at my old job, now I'm and admin to a VP - same pay salary wise and less responsibility that my previous job but it sucks - I'm doing mundane work, sitting in the line of fire of everyone else who has a private office. I have NO privacy and the manager (not my direct boss) is 17 years younger than me making $30K MORE than me and she's a gossipy, bossy, pushy, idiot. I can't stand her nor do I trust her.

Basically I can't stand my new job, the environment, my coworkers and the location. I so regret leaving my old job and realize now I made a huge mistake but can't go back.

I'm literally unable to sleep at night and sick to my stomach with regret. I have to have a paycheck so my only options are to stick it out or find something else.

Even though my old job had it's problems I wish I was back there dealing with that instead of stuck in my new prison. I've cried every day.

I'm a single mom so I have to work and can't risk quitting without something else lined up. I'm 47 years old too so it's hard to adjust to not being the boss and working independently to now working with others who make more money and are much younger.

I'm beating myself up over leaving my last employer at least if they went belly up I could have claimed unemployment. Now I'm stuck in this new job hell and feel like crap. Going to work each day is like walking in mud with anvils tied to my ankles.

Anyone else had new job remorse and survived or lasted long enough to find something better? Any advice on how to survive my situation or stick it out?

My boss is decent but this other manager I work with and assist is going to be the death of me. She's insistent on letting me know she's above me and knows more than me and purposely exhibit power over me.

HELP!!!!

HELP!!! I absolutely hate my new job!!?

i just got back from my second day and i hate it sooo much. i work 3 days a week for 5 hours but the hours just crawl by. my first day i was walking up the steps and i was hit with the realization that i didnt want the job after all. Now i absolutley hate it to the point that even when i am just driving by and see it i start to feel sick! i am totally not kidding! i was planning to keep this job through the summer, but i wanna quit NOW!! Whats a girl to do??????

Help!! I Hate my girlfriends new job. What do I do?

So my girl's been looking for a job. She finally got one and I hate it. It's a great company and a great salary there are great perks however... It is a young company mostly men no one is older then 34 they are all in incredible shape most are single and there is travel required. We got into a huge blowout about it but have since calmed down and spoke and she is willing to leave the job. I give her credit as she can at least admit that she would not accept me working in the same environment if say it were mostly women the same age and same level of attractiveness. I mean there's trust and the there's stupidity. The job is like working in a fraternity with a bunch of frat brothers. It's a bunch of friends who came up with a company and have a great time together. That's not work that's a paid good time. If i were to have created a company with my friends i would run it EXACTLY like that. However it is a great company with great benefits and the job is honestly right up her alley plus There is a lot of room to grow. I can't I good conscious ask her to quit but I can't be with her if she stays.

We have trust issues BUT I would have a problem with this job regardless. Nobody wants to know there significant other is off skiing with 30 other good looking young people of the opposite sex. We're not talking about they go to conferences in Chicago. They're going freaking skiing for fun or Miami to run events etc. On top of that I have a child who loves her and studies with her and looks forward to come home to her (he's very attached) and the hours are long. Like I'd only see her on the weekends long. I mean she started last week and they have 2 5 day long trips in the next 4 weeks already so pretty much I can look forward to seeing her 2 weekends.

Last thing we have plans to move out of state in June nothing concrete but we would both really like to and although she's admitted to not accepting me in a job like this She said if we stay she would ultimately resent me for making her leave the job, if I did. That's a lot of pressure. Help.....

PS
She is very employable and just moved to my city to be with me which is why she's been looking for a job. She didn't lose her job nor has she been struggling to get one. She has gotten a few offers and turned them down. She has great creds and is college educated. She also looks like a freaking model. Like if she cooked I would have found my ideal girl in every way.

How can I help my girlfriend (33 y/o) find a new job? She doesn't know what she wants to do and has been stuck working for a large supermarket chain for over 10 years.

Its always tough to not know what you want to do. To not have a passion for a certain career already in high school. I wouldn’t let her quit the job until she finds something that excites her and she makes a plan. If it were me, I would get some books on career choices. One classic is “What Color is Your Parachute?” It came out in the 70’s and gets revised every year. And there are many other to choose from. Look around on Amzon ans read the reviews. Get her to read the books and go through the questions (in some of them) to narrow down her strengths and weaknesses. Hopefully she will find something that really sparks her interest. Then she can figure out the plan of how to get there. It may require a degree in something or just on the job training. Anyway the hard part is finding something that is worth pursuing. I wish her luck!

What are those small things that help you settle in a new job and make connections?

A new job comes with it a volley of emotional conflicts concerning the new assignment at hand and being in the midst of new people. Everything seems foreign. To beat these new job blues, I would suggest both professional and personal moves to make you feel one amongst the group.Professional Aspects1. Engage in professional and social networking activities with people in the same domain of your work to understand the nuances of your new assignment.2. Be an active participant in job forums promoting discussions on specific topics related to your sphere of work.Personal AspectsThe first impression is indeed the best impression.Making an impressive move with colleagues calls for some simple tips.  1. It always pays to wear a smile on your face to win the trust of people.2. A strong hand shake with peers and leads in addition to maintaining an eye-contact with people during conversations does the trick of bringing out your confidence to the forefront.3. Last but not the least, never ever forget to dress smart; as the adage goes "apparel oft proclaims man"!These tricks help you settle down faster with the new company, thereby driving away the feeling of "butterflies in the stomach" on day one of your new job!Hope this helps you my friend!

Started working new job and im really sore?

I needed money to keep going to college and so I started a full time job at a factory/warehouse. I worked 9 hours yesterday and 12 hours today. Im lifting and pulling all day long so my back is sore but the worst pain is in my legs. I'm standing all day I only sit on my lunch and break, as im writing this im sore as hell and i know its gonna feel worse in the morning.

How long will my body take to adjust to this and is there anything I can do to get rid of the soreness in my legs or at least some way to help me cope with it better?

Help stomach flu and tomorrow is my first day of my new job!?

I have had a watery diarrhoea for almost 3 days now, the first day the cramping was really really bad, now it's mostly that urge you get when you have to run to the toilet.

I need help to shift it fast, tomorrow is my first day of work, and i really don't want to call in sick before i even officially work there. This is NOT the first time i have had this, i live in a country where sanitisation is very low. But last time i had a week to rest.

So any tips to make it pass or bearable so i can go to work, I am taking broad spectrum antibiotic (for any gut bacteria) like i was told to do last time. But any help would be great.

I just don't want to be running to the toilet every 5 min at my new job... :-)
