Does flashing a new rom removes all of the mobile data?
The data on your internal storage and memory card remains intact, but all your OS related does get wiped off. This includes apps that you've installed. For this, I would suggest that you shouldInstall Titanium Backup ★ root - Android Apps on Google PlayGo to Backup/Restore TabOn the top of right you should be able to see a "page-like icon with a tick on top". Click it.Under the "Backup" section, Click on "Backup all user apps + system data". After clicking this you can choose which apps you want to make a back up for. Choose em & Wait for the processing.You should have a folder by the name of Titanium Backup (most probably) in your internal storage. Copy that folder to your PC/External SD. [Even though I said your internal storage won't be affected, it's always good to keep an extra backup]Now flash your custom ROM and install Titanium Backup again {if ROM isn't pre rooted, you'll have to root it to run Titanium Backup. *duh*}Check you if have that Titanium Backup folder in internal storage or not. If not place it in internal storage or go to "Overview" tab of Titanium Backup, at the bottom click on "Problems", and under "Backup settings" choose "Backup Folder Location" and click on detect > whole device. Go to Backup/Restore Tab.On the top of right you should be able to see a "page-like icon with a tick on top". Click it.Under the "Restore" section Click on missing apps + data {no need to click restore missing apps + system data, it'd probably mess thing apps as it's a different ROM now} Wait for the magic to happen.You're good to go. Your apps will be restored as though this the ROM you've been using from day 1.As mentioned earlier, your files in internal storage will remain in tack, still it is good idea to copy all that to external storage/PC, just in case.P.S. : take a full backup of your original ROM {i hope you know how to use a custom recovery to do that} before you flash, so that if things get messy you can go back to things as they were before. The size of backup will be around 8-9 gb so take that point in consideration. If you decide to revert back/go to next ROM, just follow the Titanium Backup steps again for a seamless experience.
