How Do Transfers Work In Football

How does the transfer window work in football?

Here's the wiki page on the transfer window: Transfer windowHere's a decent guide to the transfer process: How a transfer works - from the scouting to the signing

How do football transfers take place?

It's a Big process to say in compact Per se. Because it is not only the talk between the club and the player. It involves many negotiations with Player itself, the team mates, the agent and even the parents of the player. The agent and the Parents play a major part in transfers of Big names who are generally young. Steps are like such Buying club contacts the selling club / or the club under which the player is currently playing under a Contract. They can make an Enquiry or simply see if the player is transfer listed or not. Buying Clubs are not allowed to talk with other Club players Before Transfer Window open on the topic of transfers because limitations in contract (80% Players have it). That's why teammates and Parents play a good role. The Buying club must either Satisfy the selling club by reaching the Buy-out clause of a player in the Contract of player. This case happens when Buying club are more interested than selling club. Or the buying club can submit a transfer Amount to the selling club which they must decide to accept or not. This is the case when Selling club wants to offload the player. But in the end it's total decision of Club either to sell or not. They can keep the player as long as contract runs. But the player becomes a free agent after the end of contract. Agents main motive is to try and sell his player in a bigger price to a club which contacts with him rather than club directly. He gets a good margin cut from the total transfer fee. Feel Free to ask more. I post all about Football @Premier Football on facebook.

What does a free transfer mean in football?

A free transfer, also known as a Bosman transfer, involves a football club releasing a player once the player's contract has expired or made available just before the end of the contract. The club acquiring the player does not have to pay any compensation for their release due to having nothing left to pay on their contract,  hence, the term free transfer. Some individual leagues have restrictions  to protect academies. For example, in the UK, players under 24 who are  out of contract are only available on a free transfer if released by the  club holding the players' licence.Another type of free transfer is when a player is transferred from one club to another for no price, sometimes a transfer for a nominal fee is credited as a free transfer.Free transfers are common in leagues where money is less commonly  available for clubs to spend on transfer fees. It is also common for  players to leave wealthy clubs on a free transfer if the club cannot  offer first team football, especially when departing for clubs in lower  leagues.P.S. - You could have googled it yourself. I don't see any merit of this question.Source :- Free transfer (association football)

Do football players get a cut of the transfer fee paid for by their new team?

I must say it is rare to see a percentage of a transfer fee being awarded to a player because it requires a trilateral agreement between the selling club, the buying club, the player and his agent/legal counsel. You sometimes see a player wanted by many other clubs get a cut after he extend his contract at his current club which in return gives him such incentives. That being said, it will never be near what the player agent pockets in. Have a look at Mino Raiola who is said to have earned 49 million euros on Pogba’s transfer to Manchester United while the transfer fee was 105 million euros. Most often, instead of getting a cut of the transfer fee, players get a hefty bonus upon signature. The more desired the player is, the higher that bonus gets. Nowadays, players are tempted to wait until the end of their contract to become free agents and maximize their sign-on bonus. They sometimes even get it to sign a new contract for their own club! Fellaini from Man U is set to become a free agent at the end of the season. He will likely not sign for anyone until the summer to entertain all offers, including from his own current club.

How does the football transfer window really work?

1. A Club first identifies who all it wants to add to it squad in the transfer window.2. Buying Club Makes Contact with the selling club about a player contracted to it.3.Then both the clubs discuss the possibility of the deal and the various components and compensations attached to it.4. Once the buying club meets the expectation of the selling club and both are able to agree to the transfer fee, the selling club gives permission to talk to the player.5. Then the negotiations with the player take place with respect to his pay and the length of his contract and so on.6. The last step of the transfer is the medical check up, ro ensure that the player is not carrying any injury/disability.7. Ta Da !! the transfer is done. Some other intricacies are in some contract with players they might have an release clause which when some meets that valuation the selling club have to sell and do not have an option.Players agent in some cases act as the middlemen between the two clubs in the transfer, And they also get a cut in the transfer fee.

How does the transfer between two football clubs work? Who gets the money and how does the player get all the money?

In most transfers, the player doesn't get any money. A typical transfer works in the following way.Let us suppose Club A wants to buy player X from Club B.Club A will sound out player X and see if he's interested in a transfer. This may happen the other way round as well. Preliminary talks might take place to see if the player us a good fit in the team, the players position etc. Player wage details may or may not be discussed.Once player X is convinced he wants to move, Club A will approach Club B seeking a transfer. If Club B is ok with it a certain transfer fee will be discussed. This transfer fee is normally subject to heavy negotiations and is paid only to the selling Club (B) and possibly player X’s 3rd party owners.( 3rd party ownership is extremely rare in the big leagues). The player doesn't receive any of this money.Post deciding a fee the players personal terms are discussed and the player is subjected to a medical. If both these processes are successful, the transfer us completed. Therefore to summarize the player does not receive any of the transfer fees you read about in the news. He receives a weekly wage once he starts playing for Club A and probably a signing bonus. However in certain cases Club A will pay player X an added signing bonus to submit a transfer request or reject a new contract so that his transfer price is not inflated. In these cases in can be said that the player received a part of the transfer fee as a bonus in exchange for costing Club A less than they would've had to pay otherwise.

Playing football at a juco but looking to transfer?

I highly encourage you to try out, and become a walk-on, for your junior college football program this upcoming season.

Based on your height and weight, as well as your vertical and 40-yard dash time, I believe that you will make a very good fit at cornerback.

My best advice for you is to work hard and perform very well in practice every day. In addition, what you need to do this (and every) summer is eat healthy, exercise by doing weight lifting, and either jogging or going for a long run every day. If you do these things, you will get faster, stronger, and into better shape, which will greatly improve your chances of becoming a successful, top notch cornerback in college football.

Keep in mind, if you perform very well in junior college football, you can get recruited to play for a Division 1 College Football program in the future. Also, the great thing about this type of transfer is that you can make the transfer from a junior college to a Division 1 school, and be immediately eligible to play football for the Division 1 school, without having to sit out a season.
