If someone has my account and routing number, how can they take money from my account?

I can think of three ways, and and there might be more but I should say I think all of them are very unlikely, All are serious fraud.Someone could use your account number on a ‘counter check’ and withdraw cash as you at a branch. In this case the teller would have to not properly verify identity.Someone would set up an ACH draft to transfer funds out of your account through ACH to a someone claiming you had authorized them to take those funds. The bank is supposed to be checking these sorts of things out to prevent this from happening, and there will be a very easy to follow trail to who got the money.Someone would counterfeit checks with your account number and RT printed at the bottom and then pay with the checks or cash them. Checks are hard enough for check printers to get right. The exact positioning of the numbers is important, the paper, watermarks, micro printing, and the ink is magnetic. These make this scenario unlikely, however, the person presenting the check could print whatever name on the check they wanted. Then because the name doesn't have to match the account to go through, they would use any valid-appearing ID matching the name printed on the checks.As mentioned, there may be more ways for this to happen, these are serious crimes, and I think they are all unlikely to be successful for a variety of reasons. The perpetrators are very likely to be caught. You would be well advised not to try any of them.

How long are US bank account numbers?

Bank account numbers in the U.S. tend to be between six and sixteen digits. The standard is typically by bank, but some banks that have gone through acquisitions have multiple standards. Accuity, the registrar of ABA numbers (the routing codes) maintains a database (called EPICWare) which has the ability to validate U.S. account numbers. This can be quite helpful to catch numbers that have been entered incorrectly. EPICWare covers most banks, but not all, and also results in some false error reporting due to exceptions at certain banks.

Vagisil = burning sensation?

For the past couple days I've been itching just slightly in my nether region, and I've noticed that my discharge (which has been confirmed by my doctor as being normal) has taken on a reddish color. For awhile I thought I was still on my period when I should have quit two days ago, since I'm on birth control. But then I realized it was my discharge. So, for the itching, I use Vagisil, but for some odd reason, it burns for a few minutes whenever I first apply it. I'm pretty sure this is not normal. Any ideas on why it would do that, and/or why my discharge would suddenly turn red?
