How Do U Rate Junaid Khan As A Bowler

Why can't India produce bowlers like Wasim Akram or Waqar Younis?

Well the answer to this is debatable........my experience says something like this.1. Average Indian men are not well built, height gives a lot of advantage to bowler to get bounce + pace which Most of Indian bowler do not have, also it is very difficult to keep up your fitness (its easier to do this if you are batsman)2. Most of Indian soil(pitch) is not very fast thus faster get beaten a lot by our world famous batsmen, that's why we have world class spinners but not fast bowler.3. On the other hand due to average built we have good batsmen which help us to move our feet fast (foot work)4. There are more people wanting to become Sachin Tendulkar than Javagal Srinath ( of course Kapil is exception)5. Strange but might be a factor - India is a poor country and most of the cricket being batsman game(who goes to stadium to watch them bowl) there is more money when you are batsman (who are richer, batsman or bowler, you know it)I also do not see this changing any time soon, IPL makes fun of bowlers, specifically fast bowler, so we might need to import them from Pakistan...:P

Why can't bowlers of today's generation swing the cricket ball the way Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis did?

The demands of today's cricket with shorter formats and hectic tournaments may be the reason why swing bowlers aren't coming up. Let's take the purest format - Test cricket. Majority of Test matches have been won by taking twenty wickets with or without a batting performance. The swinging ball is a wickets - taking delivery.  Time was when the great bowlers went on bowling long spells,  taking wickets and running through the sides.  Once delivered,  the swinging ball becomes a moving object of challenge. Hit well, it fetches runs, edged, it gives you a wickets and left alone,  the contest continues. In the shorter formats, too many variations are expected resulting in the swing bowler losing his mojo. Slower balls, yorker a day leg - stump and pad lines do not support pure swing.  They are different skill sets.  Bowlers do not have the luxury of balls to keep on swinging the ball to extract a wicket.

If you were allowed to add current fast bowlers of Pakistan, what would be your current Indian cricket team?

What if India and Pakistan never separated? We could have had a whole new national cricket team. Since India lacks quality fast bowlers and Pakistan lacks quality batsmen, the combo can be lethal. But at the moment, apart from having great pace many current Pakistani international fast bowlers lack accuracy and temperament. Although a few till now have shown their class at the international level. Let's have a look keeping in mind the current cricket players of both the nations.Predicted Limited overs Indian National Cricket Team:Rohit SharmaAjinkya Rahane/ Shikhar DhawanVirat KohliSuresh RainaYuvraj Singh/ Hardik PandyaM.S Dhoni* (C/ WK)Ravindra JadejaRavichandran AshwinJunaid Khan/ Wahab RiazJasprit Bumrah/ Mohammad Shami/ Bhuvneshwar KumarMohammad AmirRohit Sharma:Ajinkya Rahane:Shikhar Dhawan:Virat Kohli:Suresh Raina:Yuvraj Singh:Hardik Pandya:M.S Dhoni:Ravindra Jadeja:Ravichandran Ashwin:Junaid Khan:Wahab Riaz:Jasprit Bumrah:Mohammed Shami:Bhuvneshwar Kumar:Mohammad Amir:

Which duo is better: Ambrose-Walsh or Akram-Younis?

In the battle between the duo of curtly Ambrose -Walsh and wasim-waqar,i would choose wasim-waqar duo.Ambrose and walsh were two main frontline bowlers for their team WI.They had everything like pace, height and anything you want in an ideal fast bowler. They are good at their place but when we compare them with The two W's then it might change my view. Wasim and Waqar are those bowlers which can be considered as match winners. The Pakistani duo had the weapon which the pacy and bouncy duo of Indies missed. They used to rip off the batsmen with deadly swing. They had yorkers, bouncers, inswing yorkers, outswing, pace, aggression and that too with a deadly pace. The Pakistani duo of fast bowlers has no match and many present bowlers like starc , boult get inspiration from them.

Will Rohit Sharma be able to score 264 against Curtly Ambrose, Shoaib Akhtar, Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis today?

There were far more better players than Rohit Sharma when Ambrose, Akthar, Akram and Waqar where in their prime and they found it difficult to score even 150-160 which is more than 100 runs short of 264. However,as the question says"today",with short boundaries, big bats, batting pitches, only 4 players outside 30 yards circle(tough it changed from 40-50 overs) I would say there is a chance that 264 can be scored. We already saw Dale Steyn who can be compared with above legends going for plenty these days. There is a chance that 264 can be scored even when  Ambrose, Akthar, Akram and Waqar play today.

Should India have a left arm fast bowler in cricket?

This is what transpired in the Asia Cup when Rohit Sharma was up against Mohd. Aamir. And, This is what Mohammad Aamir did to Rohit Sharma in Champions Trophy.Ball coming back in. Plumb LBW,on both the occasions. This is Shikhar Dhawan,in Champions Trophy. In the 2012–2013 series, Junaid Khan blew away the Indian top order in Chennai.Lets come back to the most recent one.Ind v/s Aus T20I series. 2nd Match.Aussie rookie playing only his 2nd T20I, Jason Behrendroff finished with the figures of 4/21 in 4 overs. The batsmen he dismissed were, Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, Manish Pandey. You know what’s common in above dismissals? These all have been inflicted by Left arm quicks. Junaid, Aamir, Behrendorff. You could add Trent Boult too to the list. It’s not that the Indian Batsmen are incapable. It’s just the result of lack of familiarity to left arm quicks. As they say, it’s something out of syllabus! And clearly facing Arjun in the nets doesn’t prepare you for the likes of Trent Boults! It’s one of those areas where Indian Team really misses a decent Left Armer. Because it all begins from the nets! And not to mention what they add to your bowling attack. Variety, it doesn't let the batsman settle down and line up bowlers.A genuine left armer with an ability to bring the ball back in is a boon for any team. Much like the Vintage Irfan Pathan and Zaheer Khan. The current lot of Indian bowlers have a great mix of everything. With Beefed up pace bowlers in quality, attacking leg spinner and a Chinaman bowler, the only part that's missing from the jigsaw is a quality left Arm pace bowler.Let’s hope we find that last part soon!Image source : Google

Do you think India could have won 2017 Champions Trophy if Hardik Pandya would have stayed till the end?

Hardik Pandya’s innings was very entertaining to start with. He was playing his natural game. To answer your question I don't think so that Pandya would have won us the game. Even if Jadeja would have sacrificed himself for the unfortunate run out, around 185 runs would be still needed with 22 overs in hand. The batsmen on the crease would be Ravichandran Ashwin and Hardik Pandya with Bhuvanehwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah still to come. Majority of these runs would have to scored by Hardik Pandya. Around 125 of 185 would have to be scored by Hardik. To score 125 runs he would have required close to 75 balls. With that 57 balls remain and 60 runs still to be scored. Bumrah cannot hit anything so let's take him out of this thing. That means Ravichandran Ashwin and Bhuvanehwar Kumar will be required to score 60 runs from 57 balls collectively. Now let's consider to which bowler did Hardik had hit the most sixes or got his most runs in his actual contribution of 76 runs. It was the spinners. Mohammed Amir and Junaid Khan are world class fast bowlers, they rip through the tail very quickly. Even if Pandya would have managed to score freely against these which is also a bit difficult, Amir and Junaid would have run through the wickets on the other side. Considering the reverse swing which Hasan Ali gets after the 35 over mark it was really not possible for Pandya to get us through. We would have liked Pandya to continue as he was entertaining us. Chasing 339 runs, we required one of our top 3 to play through and rest contributing along that player.Thank you for reading.

How was the scene in the dressing room of team India, when Hardik Pandya got run out in the final against Pakistan in the CT2017? Was Jadeja blamed?

Hardik Pandya was on a dream run in the Champions Trophy 2017 Final with an economy rate of 5.3 and a strike rate of 173.26. He swing-ed his bat with anger when he got run-out.India — 152/6 (80 run partnership came to an end) Hardik Pandya walks out.Dressing RoomVirat Kohli was seeing the match through the gallery while Anil Kumble was sitting worried not close to Kohli. Assuming that only Kohli and Dhawan were seeing the match from the glass gallery, the Dressing Room consisting of M S Dhoni, Rohit Sharma and other bowlers welcomed Hardik Pandya. While Hardik Pandya got freshened up, Jadeja got caught by Babar Azam when bowled by Junaid Khan reducing India’s total to 156/7.Jadeja (RJ): - Hardik, there was a misunderstanding on the field.Hardik Pandya (HD): - We got three run-outs in this Champions Trophy with a similar kind of a mess, but had never imagined I would get out in the similar fashion.Jadeja (RJ): - Our mess will cost us to not even put 200 runs on the board.Dhoni (MSD): - How are you and Hardik at fault when the top order collapsed like a pack of cards, even I gave away my wicket very cheaply. Had I stood with Pandya/Jadhav to maintain a partnership, the situation wouldn’t have been bad, rather it would have been a nail-biting finish.Though Pandya was angry, it might be possible that Dhoni’s maturity handled the situation well. But there was no one like him during the Multan Test when Sachin scored 194*, causing the hate comments. Nothing was out after this match. This is just my imagination and not needed this might have happened.
