How Do U Take Care Of A Pet Fox

Where can i buy a pet fox in spain?

First, you'd have to make sure foxes are legal as pets in Spain. You can go read about the legalities at www.tamethewild.webs.com/legality to see some of the European countries which allow the private possession of foxes.

Second, what fox specie are you interested in? There are many species... red fox (exists in different colors, silver, red, marble, platinum, pastel, etc.) arctic fox (blue, white) corsac fox, fennec fox...?

Third, have you done extensive research on foxes? Do you know what they require (food, general care, containment, attention, etc.)?

Send me a private message at tamethewildranch@hotmail.com once you are done reading this message, and once I get a confirmation that foxes are legal as pets in Spain, I will redirect you to some European breeders of various species of foxes. I am a fox breeder myself, but I reside in Canada, and shipping a kit would cost to much, that is why I'd rather redirect you to other breeders.

Is it legal to have a pet fox in Ohio?

Sadly, I don't know what the specific laws are for your county, but by the state, there are few regulations on foxes, and they are legal to have as pets in Ohio.
If you're getting a native species (such as red fox, gray fox... (not a fennec fox, or ones like that)) you'll need to get an import permit...and if you're getting one from out-of state you'll need to get another permit (but not hard to get), and then requires you to get a birth/health certificate (proving it was born in captivity, so that a vet can care for it, amongst other reasons... but it's illegal to take any animal from the wild and try to have it as a pet.).
I'm not sure exactly though- I keep getting the permits mixed up. But all of the ones required are not hard to get, if you're getting a kit (or even adult fox) from a reputable breeder- and they'd be able to help you too. But I suggest you call your local ODNR officer- they will tell you what specific permits you need, and should be able to tell you if they're allowed in your county or not...you'd probably have to call your county officer for that one though- they sometimes like to sneak laws in there that other authorities that tell you it's fine don't know about...
I used to have a link to the application....but I can't seem to find it now. :( ...But I think it just requires minimal enclosure requirements (they'll have to inspect it) and probably a 25$ or 50$ annual fee for possessing a fur-bearing animal. ...and native animal. ...not sure exactly.
Ha, I don't know the specifics, sorry, but they're legal.

And I'll spare you warning the bad things about foxes (even though I love them SO much!! ...It's just my job to warn people about the ways they can be bad as pets :) (even though they're great for the right people. Just definitely not everybody...haha), and just tell you to please be sure you've done your research. :)

Good luck!

I would like to bring a pet fox; pearl or red fox to my home in Texas...?

I'm sorry - foxes used to be legal as pets in the state of Texas that weren't native (Fennecs), but they started interpreting legislation differently. You can no longer own a fox as a pet in the state of Texas because they are considered fur bearing animals.
The only way you could have foxes, but you could not have them as pets, is to start up a fur farm, an educational program or for research. Even then you could not have them inside as pets as they must be kept in state approved facilities at all times.
There are no breeders in Texas, the breeders I know of can no longer sell and are moving out of state.
Texas is VERY strict about these laws, so if you get a fox from outside of the state and bring it in, it WILL be confiscated and euthanized.
No breeder will sell to you as long as you live in Texas as they legally have to know when they do the transfer of ownership, health certificate and receipt required to own them in the states by law.
If you want a fox really, really bad, and it's not too far away you could move to Oklahoma or Arkansas as they are legal there, but I doubt you would be willing to move just to get a pet fox.
