How can I get a flat & toned stomach without being ripped?
Depending on how much body fat you have covering your abs determines how defined they are, as well as their size. If you do have excess body fat covering your abs and they are not visible because of it, you need to research the proper way to "cut," which is a bodybuilding term for burning fat off your body. You need to keep protein high while in at least a 500 calorie below your maintenance calories. BUT MOST IMPORTANT, if you want a FLAT stomach before your abs are even visible and to make them look much more aesthetic once they are visible, you need to preform "stomach vacuums." Google stomach vacuums to learn how to preform them correctly. This is where you train the transvers abdominis by sucking in your stomach which is the inner layer of muscle in your abdomen which keeps your stomach and gut tightened in naturally. People can, myself included have distended lower shredded abs due to having no control over their transverse abdominis. ALSO, it doesn't take nearly as long to see results from stomach vacuums as it does, other muscle building exercises. Consistency with a couple sets of stomach vacuums a day for say 2 sets of 30 seconds can shrink inches off your waistline in a matter of weeks, or a week. It won't burn much fat off your body but it will certainly shrink your waistline.

Women: Do you think a guy without abs can be just as attractive as a guy with abs?
A man without abs is never going to be AS attractive as a guy with abs. At least his stomach won't be as attractive... haha! Abs are just so hot! Women are SUPPOSED to be attracted to them because muscle equals protection. I have eight brothers, all of them are ripped with 8% body fat or less... so I guess that's given me high expectations... no, I don't find my brothers hot! But my long-term boyfriend is a 6ft3" fitness model.... oooh yeah hehe! I can't keep my hands off his abs, & all of his other muscles too - what guy wouldn't want that?! But personally, I don't like big-built guys. As in buff, with a lot of muscle mass... I prefer lean, ripped muscle like my man has. Those abs are the best, so much hotter than bulging muscle, you don't have to be The Hulk to be ripped with abs. Although, if you have a flat stomach, that's fine. I've never met a woman who doesn't like abs. Solution - get working out!
How to burn fat without gaining muscle?
I'm trying to get a flatter stomach. I also have a little bit of fat on the sides. I'm 5'2" and I weigh around 100lbs. I'm mostly slim. I'm okay with my weight, but I would like to lose the fat around my middle. BTW, I'm a teen. I realize I should be thankful and most would consider me skinny, but still... I've stopped eating chocolate everyday and I only treat myself to "junk food" about 2-3 times a week. I eat a lot of rice and asian cuisine (veggies, chicken, meat, and pork). I drink plenty of OJ, milk, and water. Also, a year ago I was size 0 jeans and now a 1. I wonder if there are any exercises or dietary change that will help me lose that little bit so I can fit into my old jeans comfortable again? They still fit, but they're a little too tight and hard to close. I like wearing skinny jeans and I don't like that little bit of fat around the sides, the "love handles." So, how do I burn fat without getting abs? I'm a girl so I don't want muscled abs; I just want a flat stomach. Currently, I've been doing cardio (jogging) for 15-20 minutes nonstop. I stretch, walk 5 minutes, then jog, walk another 5 minutes, then do the exercises in the current issue of Seventeen magazine, and then walk around for 5 minutes. Its only been a week since I started exercising and I've only done the yoga moves. The exercises seem to be only affecting my legs, I'm feeling some soreness. I've been exercising everyday, but I don't want to be muscled....how often should I exercise and what types? I'm sorry this is a really long question! Thank you in advance to those that will answer.
How can I reduce belly fat without gaining muscle?
First of all ,keep it in mind that you have to drop overall body fat in order to get rid of belly fat.there is no such thing as spot reduction. To reduce fat the most preferred way is to do cardio workouts and in that too I would prefer running or jogging as it is the best exercise which will work your whole body out. In that too if you do HIIT(high intensity interval training),it will take only 20 25 minutes and you are good to go. Albeit it depends on you. You can also try skipping. Also you can drink lukewarm water with lemon squeezed in it first thing in the morning as it will remove toxins and will help you in maintaining weight.Drink atleast 3.5 to 4 litres a day . Half an hour before and after meal and so on and so forth.Break down your meals to 5 6 rather than eating 2 3 meals as it will also maintain weight and increase BMR and hence in turn can lead to fat loss. Eat normal fibrous, nutritious food that you eat at home as your goal is not muscle buildingNever ever diet and do cardio at the same time. You will loose weight but not fat. The weight you loose will be water retention and muscle mass. You will look slim but your arms, legs and belly will carry fat and you will look pudgy . So eat right and workout in routine and you will be set right….. Regards… :)
