How can I block an e-mail sender forever?

go to options on the right, mail options, block adresses, and then there are two boxes there on yahoo

Block e-mail and bounce back to the sender?

Yahoo doesn't have this option, but Mailwasher does - and it's freeware:

Set up your email account(s) in MailWasher and hit the "Check Mail" button. It then downloads all new message headers and displays message details alongside each one (priority, subject, from, to, etc.).

Any email that MailWasher considers to be spam is highlighted for easy sorting.

Two checkboxes are located next to each message header: "Delete" and "Bounce". If you click "Delete" the email will be marked for deletion, click "Bounce" and the mail will be marked for bouncing - a fake "address not found" email will be sent to the sender.

Once you have decided what to bounce and delete, click "Process Mail" to get it done and your mail client launched for downloading all accepted emails.

MailWasher has a "blacklist" and a "friends list" to enter good and bad email addresses. Addresses in the blacklist are marked for deletion, and addresses in the friends list will be marked as okay.

Filters can be set to increase MailWasher's effectiveness. You can have email addressed to "undisclosed recipients" automatically deleted and bounced for example.

Note: the program is free but limited to one email account, and doesn't include Hotmail support.MW Pro supports multiple mail accounts.

How do I get rid of spam emails I block the sender and the domain but still keep getting them?

Getting rid of spam mail on your own is a hopeless task. It’s best to outsource this to the companies that devote a lot of resources to blocking spam across millions of accounts. Assuming you run your own server, you need to look into solutions from companies like Symantec, McAfee, Sophos, Barracuda, etc. If you don’t run your own servers and spam is a problem for you, you need to discuss it with your email provider - or consider changing email providers to someone who does a better job.

How can you block emails?

Generally speaking, you can block emails or senders by applying some filters/rules.Obviously, how you do it depends on what email service you’re using. Let me give you broad guidelines for the three main providers:Gmail:Mark an email as spam – emails will stop coming unless Gmail decides this is not spam.Block – this will redirect all emails from this sender to your spam folder.Create a rule to redirect straight to the bin – the most definitive solution of the three, but takes longer to set up.Outlook.com:Sweep the inbox for this sender – you can choose to delete all emails from this sender and block all future emailsCreate a rule to automatically delete new messages from this senderBlock a sender by email address or domain – under Inbox>Options>Safe and blocked senders>Blocked sendersYahoo mail:Ban an address or domain – you can add up to 500 blocked addresses or domainsBlock an email address – you can then choose to send all future emails to spam and or delete all existing emails from this address.

Is there a way to block emails from a person?

I went to Optimum.com and it sent me to optimum.net/email. There you will see a place called spam scrub. You should be able to call that adress spam and it should be stopped. They also have a place there that lets you email them and they should be able to tell you how to do it. Hope this helps you.

How do I block email from "nobody": no sender, no subject?

It's Spam mail---pure and simple---so treat it as you would Spam.

Trying to block Spam is a colossal waste of time---(even when you have a name and/or address).

It's ineffective because Spammers change their addresses with "each" batch they send out and never reuse an old one, so they slip easily past any blocks you can make.
By the time Spam mail gets to your inbox (or the spam folder) they have already abandoned that address and moved on to a new address. Blocking an abandoned address is useless.
Just click the Spam tag on them, and let Yahoo deal with them---which they do by sending them to the Spam folder (instead of the inbox) and deleting them at preset times.

How can i block an email sender & bounce back his email on Outlook?

If you have an email from that person, right click on his/her name and select "create a rule" then you will see a whole world of options.

You can select "from" and their name will be there and you check that box, then click on "Advanced Options"

Now you hae another world of things you can do but by default the box that should be checked will have the persons name next to it...at the bottom of that screen, click "next."

Now, you get to your rules. From here you can have Outlook delete it, or you can forward a message back to them...really you can do almost anything in these rules...it's up to you.

If you have trouble you can contact me, but it's pretty easy.

If you block someone on Hotmail and they later send you an email, do they get a notification telling them they have been blocked?

If you block someone on Hotmail, it’s called blacklisting them, and no: they will never know they’ve been blacklisted.Mail YOU designate “blacklist” never will reach you at all. Unlike “whitelist” mail, which will bypass all spam, and land safely into your INBOX, blacklisted mail will not even hit your SPAM account.Designating any e-mail account “blacklisted” is telling your e-mail host: “You know what? This e-mail is WORSE than SPAM. Consider it Ebola. I don’t even want it in my SPAM account.”You won’t ever even get near it, and since these processes are automated, and webmail servers and those who run them are WAY too busy to send alerts for these? No one will take a nanosecond’s time to tell the e-mail account who’s been designated too awful and contagious:“Hey: this person hates you more than SPAM. Have a nice day.”They MAY wonder why you’re ignoring them, of course, if they aren’t a SPAM bot, and if they’re desperately in love with you, this MAY be a good time for you to buy stock in Ben & Jerry’s…But if you’re concerned about the awkward situation of receiving an e-mail from yet ANOTHER account, saying “Hey, (tearful emoticon here) why’d ya block me on Hotmail? Was it all the OTHER tearful e-mails? Be honest!” …. be assured they will only be GUESSING.You may feel completely free either to ignore the new, pathetic e-mail, as the Casanova or Mata Hari that you are, or lie, like the 007-license-to-lie I now guarantee you have, either:“This user no longer at this address,” or “I’m sure I don’t know what you mean; I don’t even know HOW to block anyone…”Then go ahead and block the new e-mail, and so on, and so on.Still, I reassure you: unlike Twitter, or Facebook, where once blocked or unFriended, it’s obvious to a user they’ve been shunned, Hotmail (and also Yahoo) does NOT alert any blacklisted user they’ve been blacklisted.FYI: My sources for this are:Web Developer’s NotesPC MechHotmail(So you know I really checked this out for you.):::Here also is a link, if you want to block this person from Gmail (and everywhere else). There are helpful screen shots, and links at the bottom to just about every social media outlet.www.laptopmag.com/articles/block-someone-gmail

What happens to blocked emails?

If you send email through a legitimate mailserver to a legitimate recipient, and their mail service blocks it up front (e.g. it contains a virus or it looks like spam), your mailserver will take that rejection text and send it to you in a delivery failure message. E.g. it might say “remote server said 550 blocked by antivirus”.Depending on the settings of the mailserver, it may return your complete message, or it may return just the headers - recipient, subject and date. Some mailservers may accept all mail up front, and then just quietly drop blocked messages so you’ll never know.In any case, email is an information pattern that can just disappear, unlike a piece of paper that has to be physically disposed of.
