How do I make the screen smaller on IMVU?
So I have a HP mini laptop, and I downloaded IMVU. It runs fine, but the actual window for IMVU has the settings for a screen larger than the one I have now. I looked in the settings but I can't find a window adjustment. The screen is about 5"x10". Does anyone know how to make the window (and everything in it) match my screen settings?

I haven't spent a significant amount of time in world for a while, but there's no real trick to it - just provide a good or service people are willing to pay for. Essentially the same way you earn money in your first life. Here's a few examples:- If you've got some digital art skills (I don't, but I understand knowing your way around a software package called Blender helps) you might be able to create clothing or shoes or accessories that people would pay for. I knew a guy who made tattoos in Photoshop and sold them on the SL Marketplace - he seemed to be doing alright. This is not my skill set, but the sheer volume of vendors means it's gotta work. Hell, there are some folks who make their RL living off their SL store.- If you know anything about DJ'ing over a ShoutCast-style stream, you can DJ at clubs. This was how I earned most of my money back in the day. For a two hour event I'd make about L$1500-L$2000 (about the equivalent of $6-$8). It was enough to pay the rent on my flat and have some spending money while in world.Incidentally, the technical end of DJ'ing in Second Life is really easy to learn. There are plenty of blog posts and guides and YouTube videos on the topic. The difficult part is just being entertaining - if you've got that, you can be a successful DJ in SL.- If you're playing a female avatar, you could look into working at one of the, ahem, gentlemen's clubs or even escorting. I don't know what the income potential is there, but I know a few girls who worked at them and always seemed to have plenty of money to spend.Unless you really start moving digital product you're probably never going to be doing anything more than giving yourself some extra spending money in world. Maybe you'll make enough to cover your daily coffee. There are definitely some folks form whom their SL store is their day job, but for every one of those there are thousands, if not tens of thousands of people who just buy their Lindens and enjoy the world.

The IMVU content filter is called Peer Review which is any 18+ user is allowed to go and vote on whether or not a product goes in the catalog. Enough positive votes [usually at least 80% positive (8/10)] and its approved. Problem is, the peer review has a profit motive and you get a small amount of credits per vote with a max of 2500 credits you can earn from it a day. So there is a lot of people that go into peer review and rate stuff without even looking at the product going though. And of course people take advantage of this and there are A LOT of things not meant to be in the general audience catalog goes though. Most of these things that get though get flagged and deleted if the creator just lets it be visible in the catalog 24/7 and the people that buy it makes the things that they are wearing searchable and not private. Simple fix of that is the creator ability to hide the products they make from search and even gift their hidden stuff to people, and the buyers ability to hide their outfit so no one can search what the things they are wearing is called and who made it. There is an IMVU "black market" that take full advantage of these loopholes and weaknesses and sell nudes and penises that stay in the catalog longer, but you got to know somebody that knows somebody that would "hook you up" for a price.
