Why does or did Fox news in particular spell Osama as Usama and al-Qaeda as al-Qaida?
I remember hearing something about how before 9/11 on the FBI most wanted list Bin Laden was known as Usama, but they then learned that it was Osama or something, and then you know everyone called him Osama and it just stuck, not like Usama would have anyway, so i always wondered why Fox news would say it Usama even after 9/11 when every other news outlet was saying Osama, do they still do this? and I know the al-Qaeda and al-Qaida debate has been touched upon but I have noticed that Fox uses or had used "al-Qaida" at some point recently and I wondered if that has a connection to teh Osama-Usama disparity, to me Osama, and al-Qaeda seem to be the best spellings, not as if it really matters but then again I have a slight touch of OCD, whats the deal with this?
Why do more people watch Fox News?
Um, if you are referring to more people viewing Fox News than the total watching any of their so-called “competing” propaganda cable news channels…Because the competition is largely split, between CNN and MSNBC. Total both of those, and see what happens;Because Fox has out-maneuvered their competition, when it comes to clever use of propaganda; (“You should be outraged!” indeed…)Because most viewers of any of the Cable TV propaganda have failed to recognize and cannot even identify propaganda, and how the use of manipulation is not journalism, and not even close to journalism. Thus, the “race for ratings” it is is merely a competition to see who can garner the most popularity. (Keep in mind, Hitler was very popular; so is McDonalds; so, at the moment, are beards, and tattoos, and eating Tide Pods. That has nothing whatsoever to do with the merits of anything.)
Why is Fox News saying that the Mueller Report showed NO COLLUSION when they haven't seen or read the Mueller report? Fake News?
Fox News just makes up whatever crap they want and their ignorant viewers will believe it.
Why does it seem like so many people hate Fox News when it's the most watched cable news network in America?
Because it is the only major outlet that generally permits conservative viewpoints to be aired, and because it is successful. There are a lot of valid complaints about Fox News. Certainly their editorial hosts are almost entirely conservative. Some shows pit multiple conservatives against one liberal in a discussion. Some shows are sensationalistic, which is off-putting for a news channel - even for opinion shows. However, these things don't drive hate. That is based on Fox News' success at breaking the left-wing monopoly on television news. Many people subscribe to the idealistic notion that news on other networks is generally unbiased and evenly presented. This is nonsense. There are no shortage of studies that show that the overwhelming majority of journalists in the US (80%+) consider themselves to be liberal. No process completely controlled by like-minded individuals is going to end up as unbiased - groupthink is a powerful force. (Fox is affected by this as well of course) This disruption in the industry is why you see the common themes of "Fox isn't really news." While I would never argue that Fox is completely unbiased either, their news (not opinion) coverage isn't any different as far as degree of bias than other networks - it's just in the other direction. (And journalism studies that attempt to objectively measure bias have roughly shown this to be the case)However, the perception persists of the idea that other networks are not biased and present the "real news." If you believe that, it it not unreasonable that you would then view Fox as radically outside the norm. Combine that with the fact that it is successful, and you have the recipe for something that can conjure up the kind of vitriol one sees directed at Fox.
Why does everyone hate Fox News?
Even Fox has acknowledged that most of their programming is entertainment/opinion and not news. Fox creates its own stories and provocations to generate ratings, and it is very successful. Fox is very harmful to the conservative movement as they pander to more extremist views and cause dissention within the party. The reason the other news (which is entirely mainstream and not liberal) looks like they're on the left is because fox has gone so far to the right. Anyone is welcome to watch whatever they chose, but don't call fox "news," it has moved into dangerous propaganda.
The clear difference between Fox News and CNN,MSNBC?
CNN and CNBC are not perfect, not by a long shot, but they are at least fairly legitimate news sources. The news media don't do as good a job as they should, as good as they used to. They care more about increasing their viewership at any cost. They don't go to the trouble and expense to do investigative reporting. But CNN and CNBC are at least no worse than the rest of the mainstream media. Fox 'News' is NOT a news outlet at all. It's a propaganda outlet for the Republican Party. Its job is to destroy Obama, to put the Republicans back in charge. That's why they report only one side of every story, and why they're the only 'news' operation that gives full value to all the Republicans' false accusations and phoney scandals. Fox knows what its listeners want. They get up in the morning and hear some bad news on the radio, then they tune into Fox to hear why it's all Obama's fault. They want their 'news' all pre-digested so they don't need to figure out for themselves how to feel about things.
