Help finding an apartment to rent in Paris France?

You're looking forward renting a flat for 5 months, this is short term and considered as holidays rental, therefore, more expensive than long term rentals.

The cost of flat rental in Paris is mostly high because there are more clients than flats. On a long term basis, which is cheaper but, unfortunately, not your case, the price to rent a little unfurnished studio flat is above 800€ per month, plus charges. Students often live at students residences or rent a former maid's room, which are usually at the last floor of the building, no lift, toilets at the corridor to share with other tenants.

As you're coming to Paris to study and can't change your dates, I suggest you rent at a serious website, from an agency, not directly from the landlord because they can change their mind at the last minute.

Where can I find the cheapest studio apartments in Paris, France?

I lived in Montreal for seven years and am very familiar with Paris. The wrong side of the tracks in Paris is a lot more dangerous than the wrong side of the tracks in Montreal. In Paris you would be well advised to limit yourself to no worse than the unfashionable side of the tracks or, more precisely, the unfashionable side of the Périphérique (the ring road that circles the city proper).

Generally speaking, the further you are from the center the less expensive with the north side border arrondissements being cheaper than the south side border arrondissements.

You might take a look at either the Paris Craigs list (http://paris.craigslist.org/) or the ads on the France-USA contacts website (http://www.fusac.fr/en/).

Paris is really quite compact and the public transport system so dense and efficient that there is no where in Paris proper that is not within less than an hour of any other place in the city.

What is a local property rental management agency in Paris that can help in purchasing and then renting out apartments?

Where can I find cheap apartments in paris, FRANCE?

It would be helpful if someone could inform me of a place that costs less than this. I know that there aren't many cheap apartments in Paris, and that a low budget vacation there is very difficult to imagine for most--but it is possible, and that is what I am going for. Therefore, if anyone has any actual knowledge of a cheap place to stay in Paris: please, let me know. Otherwise, don't bother to comment.

Where can one to find an apartment for rent in Paris?

Don't even try to rent on the classical market, it is blocked. For only two months, the best is appart'hotel, flat-like hotel rooms rented for weeks. It is still expensive (from 50 to 80€ by night), but at least, you have a little kitchen. You can try to live in a family, search for vivre chez l'habitant, the prices can be less expensive and allows you to live in a real atmopheer. Good luck !

What are the best websites for renting a flat in Paris?

What are the best websites to find long term rentals for rooms and apartments in France?

My advice would follow the more traditional lines of Vacation Rentals, Homes, Experiences & Places - Airbnb or VRBO.com The more time you spend on these can determine where you stay and how much (or how little). If you just target a large area and look for the cheapest places, it’ll be a coin toss.I have lived in France and traveled there and abroad quite a bit. You always have an advantage if you know someone or if you get to know someone really well. The way you travel/live/lodge/eat/etc can very likely determine how people approach you and can very likely end up getting you an invite to their homes. No one wants to invite a stranger, but if they like you and get a good sense about you (and if they’re a traveler at heart) they might just have sympathy on you and help you out.
