How Do You Find Replacement Exterior Door Handles For A 1998 Nissan 200sx Se

Why does my car alarm trigger when I am opening it using the key not the remote key fob?

some alarm systems are designed that way. Most alarms OEM and aftermarket have voltage sensing and will trigger the alarm when the dome light goes on. This is to combat possible breaks ins using a slim Jim. If you turn off the dome light(s) or remove the bulb, the alarm will not trigger unless it has a shock sensor. This includes “door ajar” sensors btw. This feature can be programmed out on most alarms but defeats the purpose of having an alarm.

So, is a MAZDA 3 sedan good for first time driver?

Mazda 3 is the best beginner's car.
It handles sharper than any other car at the same class.
It turns more accurately; it change lanes faster, and it has very sensative brakes.
You can get one under $20k if you don't go fully loaded. I mean, why would you go leather on an economy car anyway?
Good fuel econ: because it is more powerful than the Civic or Corolla, it uses a little more gas.
Co-signing with your dad is a good idea if he's a good driver.

How do I program a keyless remote for a 2011 Nissan Sentra?

Regular key less fobs you can program. The cars with buttons on the door handles are I key cars and you cannot program those your self. I-Key (remotes have removable mechanical keys inserted into the fobs. Also all I-keys and mechanical keys have to be re programed at the same time. Doing I- Key erases all the I keys before programing. Regular remotes. Get in the car lock the doors insert and withdraw the key 6 times 10 seconds (plenty of time be precise) watch for the 4 way flashers to flash. then turn the ingniton to ON just before crank press any button on the first remote. (four way flashers will confirm flash) additional remotes? unlock and re lock the power door lock then press the second Thurifth remotes up to 5 remotes can be programed GOOD LUCK

Why does the gas pump keep stopping when my tank isn’t full?

Question: “Why does the gas pump keep stopping when my tank is not full?”I have owned and worked on and built high performance engines since the 1960’s.Although it is possible that your car’s filler tube is damaged and restricted, that would have been caused either by an accident or by the removal and improper re-installation of the gas tank. If so, you would be aware of the problem, and it is unlikely you would be asking the question on Quora. The more likely explanation is that the vapor recovery system on the car is damaged. This system vents the fuel vapors from the fuel tank into a canister filled with absorbent granulated charcoal and then into the engine intake manifold, preventing the gases from venting off into to air and adding to pollution. (Older cars did vent gas fumes directly into the atmosphere. That is why you can smell raw gas at any display of classic cars.)In a modern car, if these fumes are not vented off, pressure will build up as you try to fill your gas tank, especially if you are doing so quickly. When the pump nozzle assembly senses this increased pressure it registers it as a full or nearly full tank and shuts off the flow of the gasoline from the pump to the nozzle. Think of that like trying to quickly fill a Coke bottle with water from a quickly flowing kitchen faucet. The air in the bottle has to escape before the liquid can go in.There are several points where the Evaporative Emissions Control System on your car could fail and create the problem you are experiencing. Vacuum lines might have been pinched or damaged. The solenoid valve may be sticking. But the most likely problem is that you have a clogged or damaged EVAP Canister.Your EVAP Canister looks like this,or like this.It is located in the engine compartment, low in the chassis, probably at the front. Why did the Evaporative Emissions Canister fail? Well, you broke it. Or someone else who fuels the car broke it.Did you ever continue to add gas to the tank, in an effort to add another gallon, after the nozzle clicks off? Well, in doing so you flooded the EVAP Canister by forcing liquid gasoline up lines that were meant to handle vapors. You saturated the charcoal media within the EVAP canister and prevented it from acting as a vapor recovery/transfer media.Your fueling problem can be resolved by replacing the EVAP Canister. Unfortunately, these things can be expensive.

Auto Repair: How long should brake service normally take?

There is also the issue of skill. Some shops have newer guys do simpler jobs, like maintenance. So it's also very likely the guy was having some trouble. Even at an independent shop 2 hours was about the tops for 4 wheel brake job. We'd order the parts and take it all apart, if machining needed to be done get it started and move to something else.  By time the parts arrived you'd hopefully be able to put some stuff together. You check the parts and if they're right, get it together, if they're wrong you get new parts ordered. The worst I ever had was a brake job that came in around 2, checked it and needed front pads, rotors, and rear drums and shoes. Took it apart and moved on. Checked parts when they came... the rears were all wrong. It was 4 already because delivery gets busy near the end of the day. Assembled fronts and waited until 530 to get rears again. Made sure they were right, gave old ones as exchange and put rears together. It was almost 6. Got the car ready for a brake flush(also sold), performed the flush and let the writer know. It was almost 615 and the customer waited the entire time, needing to get to class. That was the worst.Typically it's 40 minutes in a dealer setting for all 4 without machining, about 60 with. You check them, get parts, and assemble. That's it. Machining is typically very easy if you know what you're doing and you get started ASAP so you can work and machine. In a smaller shop you can hear when they're finished to remind you about them. If you forget though nothing happens and time is wasted. So what you want to do is not wait for your car to be done if you can. Let the shop worry about issues and you can get on with it. If you're on a tight schedule and need the car consider returning when you have more time, brakes very rarely need to be done immediately, as it is with most vehicle repairs.

My Car Door wont unlock. ('95 Eclipse GSX)?

sounds like an inconsiderate Tow Truck operator improperly Opened the vehicle with his/her lock out tools and damaged the lock mechanism.
There is usually a plastic shield to protect the rods going to the door lock handle. Using a "Slim Jim" improperly may dislodge that shield and pop one of the rods off as the clips are plastic usually.
I have found a reputable Auto Glass shop can remove the inner door panel and relocate those rods with new clips and the door locks and handles should work then.
Also if you have any Lock Smith "Kiosks" in any local shopping centers they can do the same thing and will usually have the necessary clips and can make them work without replacing the door handles or locks.
I have an older Mercedes 300D Diesel. Neither of the front door locks will work with the key. I took it to a local locksmith in the shopping center.
They quoted me to fix both to work with the key for only $100.

Does a car's AC consume more fuel if I put it on HI power?

Your car has old-school compressor which is either on or off. But if you turn your fan up that means that compressor can work more to cool more quantity of air. If it is switched on but air* is already as cold as possible (1 degree above freezing) it will pause for 5–30 seconds and start again. This pause means no fuel wasted. That literally means if you minimize air quantity (low fan speed) that will minimize time compressor is on.Imagine a refrigerator. If you keep the door closed not a lot of heat gets in and fridge is mostly silent (maybe an hour of work during whole day). If you keep opening the door and letting more heat it it will try to cool much more. Same with car AC. Less air to cool - less work.If it gets too cold just half-shut the vents, don't blow on the legs/windscreen. If it is still too cold switch fan to zero for few minutes. This will also switch off AC. Turning heat knob a little bit to red will allow air to be more warm. That will almost not use any extra fuel. But the ultra-eco mode is closing the vents so airflow is restricted even at LOWEST fan speed.DO NOT DRIVE WITH OPEN WINDOWS on highway. Only low speed driving is fine. And no fan at all!*evaporator, but that is more complicated to explain.

How much will it cost to fix this car door?

i would replace the door, probably the cheapest as well as best way to fix that. then how much that replacement door costs depends on whether you can find a replacment from an scrapping facility or new and if you find one from a wreck with that door intact it again depends if you have to or want to do a paint job. some let it be and others paint the replacement part and again others are lucky enough to find a replacment with the same color. last but not least there are often third party parts which come much cheaper than original parts while the quality is then often mediocre or at least less.Like reading my stuff?
