What's a easy to get into Fashion school?

My grades aren't good enough to get into FIT or Parsons. My GPA is a 2.5 I just want to know what's a good fashion school to get into, but isn't hard to get into. I really love fashion. And just wanna succeed in that field.

Is FIDM a good fashion school to attend?

Please be aware that the "fashion institute of design" is one of those private overly priced For-profit schools. The fashion/art industry is supposed to be extremely competitive and even those with a college (four-year) degree from an accredited school of art and design may have difficulty finding work. With that said, this site is supposed to have accredited programs in art and design: http://nasad.arts-accredit.org and can click "member lists" on the left-hand side of the page and then scroll down to the drop-down bar to click ones state of residence.

Do I need to know how to draw to go to a fashion school, or to be a fashion designer?

I ♥LOVE♥ FASHION!!!! I have so many designs that I've come up with, but the only thing holding me back is that I can't draw to save my life. I am the only NON-ARTISTIC person is my family, and of course I would choose to be a fashion designer -___-....

I have a book full of designs, but what I do is find similar clothing on games, and websites, and then I trace them. I don't trace everything only the parts I really like. For example, to draw a dress that I designed, I found a dress online that is similar to the one I pictured in my head. Once I traced the outline (or parts of the dress I liked) I then looked for another dress and traced the shoulder part of that dress, onto the first dress I have. Then once, I am done I design everything myself. So basically I trace pieces of clothing and add them together to make one design.

I don't know if this is really designing, I mean I only trace the clothing, but I design them to look TOTALLY DIFFERENT from other clothing, and I add pieces from other clothing, therefore making it a totally different garment. But what I really would like are the answers to these questions:

1. Can what I do (tracing and adding different parts together) and then designing it myself, count as designing?

2. Do I really need to know how to draw to go to a fashion school, or do they have classes that can teach me?

3. Do all fashion designers NEED to know how to draw?

4. In a fashion school, do they teach you how to sew as well?

What are the best fashion schools in the world?

Depends on what criteria? You can find online rankings of the best fashion schools, which are usually the most famous, but also the most pricey. Can you afford $40,000 per year to study at Central St. Martins? Probably not.. And is that money worth it? Probably not.. so the goal is the find good schools with your criteria. Let me know your criteria in a direct message and I can recommend you some good fashion schools fitting to your budget or region or whatever.

Is it hard to get into parsons fashion school?

I am getting mixed answers... some say its very selective but others say all you need is an amazing portfolio. So what do you think? oh and also someone told me that I should not include fashion in my portfolio... is that true? I have a piece that really shows my ability and I want to include it. Thanks!

Which is the best fashion school in Germany?

Some of the more reputable ones are AMB Hamburg, FDI Duesseldorf, ESMOD Berlin and Berlin University of the Arts. I’m sure there are others but these are the ones I’ve heard of and know by memory. But that being said, I have no experience in working with them or their students, so I can’t say much more. I’m pretty sure that their classes are in German, so you would need to double check before if you don’t speak German. Good luck!
