How can I get rid of the Adobe Flash Player update virus on Android?

How to remove this virus:When the user tries to uninstall the malware, two different scenarios can occur. First, the user has to disable administrator rights and then uninstall the fake “Flash Player” from the device. Deactivating administrator privileges can have two possible outcomes. The simpler one is where the user first deactivates administrator rights in Settings -> Security -> Device administrators -> Flash Player -> Deactivate and then ignores the bogus alert and chooses OK.Figure 4 – Deactivating administrator rightsThe user is then able to uninstall the malware via Settings -> Apps/Application manager -> Flash Player -> Uninstall.Removal can become more complicated if the device receives a command from the server to disable deactivation of device administrator rights. If this happens, when the user tries to deactivate it, the malware creates an overlay activity in the foreground which prevents the user from clicking on the confirmation button. Deactivating administrator rights will therefore fail.Figure 5 – Overlay screen displayed by the malwareAnother method to safely deactivate administrator privileges is to enter Safe mode. When booting to Safe mode, third-party applications are not loaded or executed, and the user can safely deactivate administrator privileges, as in the first scenario, and thereby uninstall the application.

How do you stop Adobe Flash Player from crashing Firefox?

What site are you going to that it is crashing on?The best way to keep Flash Player running smooth is to keep Windows, Firefox and Flash Player updated. You can turn on automatic updates for Windows to keep it updated and you can turn on automatic updates on for Flash Player to keep it updated. Firefox automatically updates by default but you can enable it manually.I would also visit the site in different browsers. I suggest viewing it in Safari or Chrome and seeing if that changes anything. If it continues to cause problems post back here or post in the Adobe Flash Player Forums or here.PS I also recommend that you be aware of possible malware hosted on websites and install an adblocker. This article, while slightly old, has some good information, What are malware sites. Some sites can cause your software to crash. Some people say uninstall but they don’t know that many software applications will embed web views that use your system browser or system plugins (both need to be updated).Basically, keep all of your software updated, use adblockers (at least until ad networks ensure adequate security measures) and avoid risky sites.

Is Adobe Flash Player 11 ActiveX a virus?

Friday, December 1st, I got a pop-up that was asking me to update adobe flash player and after i accepted, a fake "Vista Security 2012" thing kept spamming me. Eventually I got rid of it supposedly, but my internet time was being used up for some reason. Now today I've tried seeing if I can find any other problems and in the Programs and Features section, I've found there was a "Adobe Flash Player 11 ActiveX" by Adobe Systems Incorporated installed on 12/1/2011 (the same day). But there's also a "Adobe Flash Player 10 Plugin" by Adobe Systems Incorporated installed on 10/11/2009 which seems more reasonable... I'm thinking the one on 12/1/2011 my be a virus but I don't want to uninstall something that might be necessary.
