How Do You Get Your Needle And Scorpion

Have you ever been stung by a scorpion?

I was stung twice in relatively quick succession by a medium-sized (~5 cm) scorpion in rural Nicaragua. The first time, I didn't know what it was. I felt a sudden sharp pain in my leg, as if poked hard by a needle. I jumped up and tried to get away from whatever was causing it. I didn't see anything, so I went about my business. I figured it was some kind of mosquito or fly. There are a lot of insects there that I was unfamiliar with that can cause you all sorts of problems. A few minutes later, I felt it again on the same leg, and this time saw the scorpion running away. I killed it and was immediately aware that this was probably not so good. The father of my host family had recently been stung on the hand, and his entire arm was visibly swelled for a week. I started walking down the road to get some benadryl from someone I knew would have it. This was about half a mile away through dense sugarcane fields. On the way home, I started feeling strange. My lips and tongue began tingling, which was pretty worrying, but this did not get worse. I lay down in a hammock to see what would happen. A little while later, I tried to stand up, but my leg was totally numb and I couldn't control it very well. I had to lean on something for support. I stumbled to bed to lie down for real. A couple hours later, some people who had been expecting me came to look for me, and I was still unable to stand very well, but that was my main symptom. Later that afternoon, it passed and there were no lasting effects. That was interesting.

How do get my needle/ straight leg scorpion?

your back should be arched and your legs should be arched Warm up with yoga stretches for at least 10 minutes before attempting a scorpion. Lie on your back and push up into a back bend, also known as wheel pose. Hold for five full breaths and lower down. Repeat three times. Follow with three repetitions of upward-facing dog, three bow poses and three repetitions of the splits, holding each for at least five breaths. Stretch your quadriceps muscles. Stand on one foot, bend the opposite knee and grab the top of your foot with the corresponding hand. Push your foot toward your back with the heel of your hand. Hold for five breaths and repeat on the other leg. Return to the quad stretch position with your more flexible leg. Reach the hand that is not holding your foot up into the air for balance, straightening your arm. Hold the foot of your bent leg with your hand on the inside of the ball of your foot. Your fingertips should point toward the outside edge of your foot. Lean your torso forward, keeping your back bent as you pull your foot upward toward your head. Reach back with the arm that was extended and grab your toes. Use both hands to pull the foot higher into the air, bringing your foot above your head. Your elbows will be pointing up toward the sky.

What flexibility skills do you need to have to do a scorpion?

To have a good scorpion you need to stretch your back but also your shoulders. Keep in mind when stretching for a scorpion that you have to pull on both legs otherwise you will eventually get back pain or a curved back. If you can do a good split on the floor it will also help you to pull for a scorpion. To get more back and shoulder flexibility at the same time I suggest to stand in a bridge and practicing on keeping your legs together and try to put all weight on your arms and push your chest out, you will feel your shoulders stretching. (like this) Also to get a more flexible back, try to reach your ankles when you are standing in a bridge. (The goal is to be able to touch your ankles with your hands) Personally when I'm stretching my scorp I like to have a wall and be able to push my leg up behind it, so if you have a wall and something to hold on to, then that is a great scorp stretch! (here is a great example) Someone can also help you to stretch your scorpion (Make sure the person stretching you are going easy and aren't pushing too hard) But in the end, the best way to get a good scorpion is to just pull it as much as you can! When you feel like you can hold the scorpion without falling you can start to pull the leg more up with your hands, it will make a prettier scorpion but also if you work hard you can get a Needle, which is (if you don't know) a scorpion but with a straight leg. (This is how my scorp looked like before I started to stretch my back and shoulders like crazy) (My needle eventually) I don't know how far you have come in your scorpion but remember to never lose patience and start pushing your body too hard, it will only give unnecessary injuries. Also make sure that you are warm enough when stretching the back especially. Like I said: ALWAYS stretch both sides equally. I did not care to put as much time stretching the other leg and it ended up me going to the naprapath because of back pain. Hope it helped and gave you some tips! Good luck on that scorpion :)

Can scorpions pinch you?

Scorpions sting, and that makes it easier to inject any harmful chemical into your body
1050 of scorpion species are poisonous, so it is rather likely that the rash will develop into something terrible to deal with. Rinse with water and wait a day or two, if it gets worse, get to a doctor

So if the rash becomes larger, its a sting, if not, its a pinch

Scorpions can pinch

Hoped this helped!

Gymnastics/Cheer help? Scorpion/spike/needle help?

Oh goodness(: Those dang needles. Haha okay, Well I am on the Varsity Cheer team (I am a freshman) and I finally got my needle. It took me forever but now I can hold it for a while. Start by regular stratching everyday. Use a wall and make sure you stretch your back or you will definatly regret it. Once all the basic stretching is done sit in your splits and lean back toward your back leg reaching for your foot. Hold that stretch for about 30 seconds and switch to the other leg. Make sure to do both sides so you don't hurt your back. Do those stretches for a while. You can also do the door frame one. Go in between a doorframe and put one leg up so its like your doing your splits on the door. Then use your hands to push yourself backtowards your leg. Again stretch both sides. These stretches really help with it. Oh you can also stand against a wall and have a friend push your leg up but that is ehh. For your arms not reaching I had that problem! what I do is I go into a dorito looking thing and then pull to a regular scorp. Rearrange your hands and really from there grab on to your ankle. Your ankle is your best bet for now until your get more flexible. Once you get it from there just really tighten your thgih and breath bend you elbows it helps me breath a little. I got my Needle all from that and just stretching. It just takes time! You will get closer to your needle with back flexibility remember that(: Sorry this is sooooooo long! Hope it helped though!

How do I get a (cheerleading) needle and a scorpion without a flexible back?

You can’t do either of those without a flexible back. A scorpion and a needle is all about back flexibility. To get a flexible back I would start stretching your back 30 mins every other day(to prevent muscle pain), soon you will see improvement. A needle does take a little leg flexibility because you are in a split position, so start stretching your splits 30 mins every other day as well as your back. After 3 months you should see a lot of improvement.Good Luck!

Why does the Scorpion keep getting nerfed in each Halo game?

So, question; would you like to see the Wraith, ghost, warthog and pretty much everything else buffed the the level scorpions were at in H2, or, would you prefer to see the scorpion nerfed? There’s a good reason why the scorpion got nerfed; because it needed to get nerfed. It was imbalanced, it was the only vehicle to which there was little counterplay, if someone got in a scorpion, that was pretty much game. You would die repeatedly until you got a lucky catch-out.The simple fact is, power weapons (including the scorpions primary armament) should always have some sort of limitation - for the fuel rod it’s slow projectile speed, for needlers it’s slow projectile speed and conditional damage (needing a certain number of needles to proc the explosion), for the energy sword, it’s melee, for the sniper rifle it has a very small magazine, slow fire rate, and has a very high skill floor to use (yes, at high levels of play, snipers win. Period) and you can pick out the weaknesses of power weapons such as these..But for the scorpion? It had no weakness, it was an AoE power weapon with a hitscan projectile, decent fire rate and never ran out of ammunition, plus the tank itself was resistant to other power weapons…. where’s the counterplay in that? What they did in Reach was a very good idea, they introduced counterplay to the scorpion. If you want to get into the scorpion, you now have to take a risk - there is a larger window between your shots for spartans to duck in and jump onto your vehicle, so you need to think twice before spamming the trigger, and you open yourself up to power weapon and sniper fire onto the cockpit and radiator, making you quite vulnerable if you don’t land those crucial hitscan nukes you’re firing.Reach’s balance system was, although people bitch and moan about it, actually quite good and underrated by a lot of the H3 community.

What happens when a scorpion bites?

First of all, scorpions don't bite, they sting. Or more accurately, yes they bite their prey when they eat them, but the sting is why people generally try to avoid them. What happens when a scorpion stings? It bends its tail around and sticks the pointy end into whatever it is stinging. The bulb-looking bit on the stinger contains a droplet of venom, which is then injected through the stinger into the stung creature. The nasty bit about scorpions is the venom, and in the US at least, the smaller the scorpion the more nasty its venom seems to be. Some of the smallest Centruriodes scorpions in the US southwest are some of the most deadly. So if you live there, look carefully into your boots before you put them on because a sting by one of these little bastards can kill you.

How long will it take to get my straight scorpion?

I have been able to do a regular bent leg scorpion for a while but I really want to get a straight scorpion for dance. I can do both right and left splits. How long will it take to get flexible enough to straighten my scorpion if I stretch for about 15-30 minutes a day? Also, are there any good stretches beside splits, lunge, and straddle? Thanks so much!

How much force can a scorpion exert to penetrate skin, pelt or similar material? Is it able to sting a human with it's own force, without being squeezed between say a foot and the interior of a boot?

I don’t know a thing about scorpions, or what pressure (not force) is required to penetrate human skin. But have you ever handled fiberglass without gloves? Have you ever been incredibly itchy afterwards? Or heard of this potential effect, and always worn glove while handling it?Force and pressure are interrelated. Pressure is force per area. Pressure (essentially) is what’s required to penetrate a surface.Think of it like this- I can put a 1kg water bottle on your arm, and you wouldn’t hink twice about it. But if I said I was going to balance that water bottle on a needle point on your arm- you might think differently! In the first case- some force x big area (the water bottle’s bottom area) = little pressure -> not much risk of skin penetration. In the second case- some force x tiny area (the needle’s point area) = huge pressure -> OH WOW THAT’S GONNA HURT!So- back to the fiberglass example: fiberglass has many, extremely pointy, glass threads. Being so pointy, they concentrate the very little force with which they are pushed into your skin (by casual handling) into quite a large pressure against your skin- which results in them penetrating your skin, breaking off, and becoming itchy as the dickens.Bringing this answer full-circle: I would imagine a scorpion could easily penetrate human skin, without being forced in a boot, if its stinger was sharp enough. I imagine they are- scorpions have survived long enough that their stinger must be pretty effective against a range of hides.Human hide is probably amongst the easiest of all for them.
