How Do You Guys Start To Support A New Team

Is it ok to support two NHL Teams?

Yes and no. As many people have pointed out, most fans have teams in the opposite conference we support, but you'll notice a common thread in these responses: there's a clear cut #1 and #2 between the two teams they support. When the Sharks and Canadiens play, who do you find yourself cheering on? If you have an answer, then there ya go, you have your #1 and #2. If you can't decide between them, then yeah, it's kinda weird. I mean, you should go ahead and watch in whatever way makes you happy, but it's not the norm for a fan not to have a clear #1 team.

Oh, the exception to the laissez-faire attitude in multi-team support is anyone who supports two teams in the same division. Those people can eat a d*ck. The Bruins used to be my second-favourite team when I was a little kid, but then the conferences realigned and they were one of the Leafs' new division rivals. I eventually had to drop them. It just felt wrong to support my team's rivals.

Guys have you ever supported any team against your own home team....?

i am indian i support my own team a lot a lot

yes you are right, sometimes support flies away for kiwis huh, just sometimes, like you know if we have already won the series, they are my second favourites, ha ha if ravindra jadeja is batting, i would love to see vettori dismissing him

What's the future for freshers who start a job in technical support?

*******The Great Tech Support*******The Indian IT industry survives on it.There has been a trend of multinational companies like Microsoft, Oracle, Amazon to base services or entire departments in India, and which has been causing dire headlines in the United States about jobs shipped overseas since the early 2000’s( I believe Trump is the only President to do something about it). Indeed, the effects of the industry’s growth in India are easy to see.India’s ‘garden city’ is surrounded by caged technology parks and campuses like Wipro and Infosys that rival the size and splendor of those in the Silicon Valley, filled with cafe bars, restros, golf courses and 7 star hotels. As an individual in this dark uncertain corporate world, all you got to do is climb up the ladder. How?Networking, developing skills and pure talent.I agree that the job crunch and layoffs are happening but it's just a phase. These big IT Giants rely heavily on India and it's tech support so the future is safe for sure. The only problem that comes with tech support is low growth rate.Tech support has very low learning curve unlike the development field. One of the primary reason for changing jobs.Though there was less income earned during initial phase nowadays even tech support employees earn very good income.Without these low cost tech support field the IT industry of the world will cripple.

Which football team do you support?

FC BARCELONA, more than a club. Where legends are made not bought like some other club.I remember the days when the magician Ronaldinho used to play for barca. That guy made me fall in love with this beautiful game. Then there came the little master Lionel Andres Messi for whom I am still in love with this game. Two other names of recent time that is always to be mentioned when mentioning FC BARCELONA are Andres iniesta and Xavi Hernandez. The both are one of the greatest midfielder in the history of the game. There is nothing they didn't win. They won world cup, euro, ucl, la liga, cdr, uefa super cup, Spanish super cup, club world cup and almost everything. And most amazingly these talents are form La masia.I love it how xavi used to talk always using 'we' instead of 'i'. They are never obsessed with personal glory, they always thrives for team trophy that amazes me.Currently there is no Xavi but iniesta is still there. Messi is at his peak, Neymar is improving day by day and is heading towards to be the best.So undoubtedly Fc Barcelona is my favourite club and I am proud to be a FC Barcelona fan.

What should a developer starting on a new team do in the first 90 days?

The biggest thing is getting to know the software ecosystem: source code control, development environment, build process, versions and archiving. There is a whole long list of steps you have to go through to make a change in the software and get it all the way through to the shipped product. The next biggest thing is getting to know the product: who uses it, why do they use it, what do they like and dislike about it, how do they report bugs and request new features. Every decision you make about the software ultimately must be informed by how it impacts users. Along with this: what is the design philosophy of the product as it stands now? What big decisions were made in the past that you have to maintain consistency with? Sometimes users will never be happy because they want an airplane and your product is a submarine. Thus, not every feature request should be fulfilled. But you have to have a basis for deciding which it is.Along the way you have to form relationships with your co-workers. Not just fellow developers but management, testing, marketing, IT support. You have to find out who is worth listening to and who is just a waste of oxygen (sorry, every shop has at least one). Be polite to everyone, but know how to weight their inputs. You want to develop a reputation for being helpful without being a pushover. Marketing guys are always trying to get their favorite feature implemented by doing an end-run around the hierarchy and persuading some new guy to just code it up for them. Never write code without clearing it with your immediate boss. It is a common mistake for developers to treat testers as a lower life form. Be polite and helpful, because it is a lot better for the testers to find your mistakes for you than for the customers to find them. Similarly for IT support - they aren’t failed developers, they are professionals in their own right and you need them to be on your side.

Which basketball team should I support and why? LA Clippers or LA Lakers?

choose for yourself. if you just follow other people's answers, you maybe considered a bandwagon fan.

go to a game or two of each of the team's home games if you can afford it, read up on their news, history, maybe follow one off season of each for trades, signings, and draft, and see which one you like better.

watch their games on TV if you get both broadcasts and listen to the announcers talk about the teams. listen to your local sports radio and hear what the local guys have to say. local guys talk better about their home teams then say ESPN or other national sites.

Update: if you have friends or family you live with that follow either team, ask them why they like them. you could follow along with them, or choose the other team automatically to start a family rivalry. for instance, my family moved to Chicago when i was young, and my older brother started following the Cubs, so I started watching them and they are my favorite team now for over 15 years and counting. i don't hate the white sox, but will root for them if they are in the play offs and the Cubs aren't to bring a WS to Chicago. But, I looked up to my brother when I was younger (still do) so I followed the teams he liked.
