How Do You Heal A Cut In A Week

Why do cuts take a week to heal?

A cut takes some time to heal due to regeneration time of your body. First the body has to seal the wound then repair it. This process takes time because to seal a cut, your body has to create new cells to bridge the wound and draw the skin back together.

How to heal a cut quickly??

You should take the bandaid off at night to let the air get to it to help it heal quicker, but still use a bandaid during the day to keep bacteria out of it. Take zinc tablets to speed up the healing time, and when the cut isn't open anymore, put vitamin e cream or pure vitamin e oil from a gel capsule on the healing scar to help. The cut should definatley be healed in less than 3 weeks unless you have hemophelia (a condition of the reduced ability of your blood to clot).

How long do cuts take to heal?

It depends on a lot of things, mainly the body part, how deep they are, how many of them there are, if and how you’ve treated them, and if you have cuts anywhere else. I’ve found that rougher, firmer, less “squishy” skin tends to heal faster (outer thigh heals faster than inner thigh, etc.). Obviously deeper cuts take longer to heal and your body will have to work a lot harder to heal 30 cuts than 3, so deeper cuts and having more cuts at once will definitely prolong the process. If you treat your cuts after making them, they heal faster, more efficiently and are more likely to fade/not scar. By this I mean disinfecting (you can use hydrogen peroxide, iodine, or my personal favorite, alcohol) using some kind of medical antiseptic, followed by smearing the cuts with something to make them heal faster (I usually use Vaseline+aloe vera, but you can use calendula gel/cream, Neosporin or anything similar). Finally, as I said earlier, the more cuts you have, the more slowly they will heal, especially if you have them on other parts of your body. Overall, your best bet is to not cut in the first place and find a healthy coping mechanism that won’t leave you with scars and possibly infections, distorted self-image, paranoia and other lovely side effects. Hope this helped, and I hope you get clean.

I have a cut on my vagina that won't heal?

I have a cut on the left side of vagina right under the fold where the labia are ( it resembles a paper cut but is not ) ..I have had it for 1 month..every week it heals crusts up and you can see it faintly still , like it's a little shiny..then in a day or two it opens back up..it resembles a paper cut and burns when i urinate or touch it at all..I have stopped wearing underwear..my GYN recommended I put zinc oxide on it ..I did for 1 week and at first it seemed to soothe it but it still hasn't gone away...I have called and made an appointment but I feel that she is puzzled by it as well..I also took Aclovair for it as well , in the beginning, thinking it was an STD related symptom but that did not help it and my doctor did not think that was it but she gave it to me anyway as I thought it was and was insistent about it..does anyone know anything about this ? what it could be or how to cure it? it is quite uncomfortable..

Also I did not cut myself ever and I have been avoiding shaving the area since this started..

Is there anything that you can put on it to make it heal faster? I can't stop eating! LOL Because it's in the crease of my mouth it's not like I can put Neosporn or stuff like that on it. This has never happened and it's starting to get worst. Any help would be appreciated!

My cut on my finger is not healing.?

The commonest cause for the Injuries over the joints to take longer time to heal, is the constant movement of the joint making the delicate cicatrix formed during healing to break when ever it tries to heal.
Other causes include diabetes, terminal arteritis, burgers disease(TAO), rheunauds syndrome etc.,.
Hence you may please see that the finger joint is not moved for some days for a quick healing or the wound.
