How do I order Iced Coffee at Starbucks?

I've always had McDonald's Iced Coffee's and thought I'd give Starbucks a try. On their site it says it's coffee, milk and sweetend...when I asked for a tall iced coffee with milk (sounds simple?) the woman looked at me for a sec and then was like ok, do you want milk in the coffee? I said yes. They added ice, 75% coffee and 25% millk, no sugar and gave it to me. It was good, no sugar, but good.

The second time I went and asked for it, the girl had to ask the guy preparing the drinks, that I wanted an iced coffee and what should she mark it as...she made it an americano something...what gives? Am I ordering it wrong? I feel absolutely stupid ordering at Starbucks as is sincey everyone seems to use all these fancy words for low fat, skim etc.

How am I supposed to order it?!?

Starbucks employees: How much cream and sweetner do they put in a Venti Iced Coffee?

I want to make myself an Iced Coffee. I usually order the Venti Iced Coffee with sweetnet and cream. What sweetener do they use and how much? How much cream do they use? What type of coffee do they use? Any help would be appreciated!

Make a Starbucks Iced Coffee?

My boyfriend works at a Starbucks and he says that they take double the amount of coffee grinds and brew it into a cup of ice. If you want it sweet, add simple syrup, which you can make by dissolving sugar into some water. 50% water, 50% sugar, in a bowl in the microwave for a few minutes. Then if you want, you can also add chocolate syrup (I like Hershey's), caramel syrup, cinnamon, and any other flavorings you want! :)
And Starbucks always uses 2% milk , they only use whole milk if you ask for it.
And adding milk would make it an iced latte.

Starbucks iced coffee recipe?

It's not really a secret recipe.

All it is, is our Terraza coffee with ice.

Nothing more, nothing less.

If you mean our Frappuccinos, that's a different story. Those come with a coffee or cream based mixed, depending on what your ordering.

Here's the recipe:
Start by brewing coffee at double strength, using 1 cup (2.5 oz/71 g) of ground coffee to 3 cups (24 fl oz/710 mL) water. After brewing is complete, add 3 cups ice to the pot and let cool. Serve in a tall glass filled halfway with ice. Adjust the coffee's strength by adding water to taste. Makes about four 8 fl oz (236 mL) servings.

That simple.

What is a good Iced coffee drink from Starbucks!?

You can get an iced latte with any flavor syrup, and it'll already be sweetened if you order this way...
Here are the flavors:
Vanilla
Hazelnut
Toffee Nut
Cinnamon Dolce
Caramel
Raspberry
Classic (which is just liquified sugar)
Peppermint (some stores have this year-round, some only at Xmas)

When you order, ask for an Iced (Tall, Grande, or Venti) (flavor syrup here) Latte.

And no, the Americano isn't already sweetened- it's just espresso shots (how many depends on the size) and water.

Iced coffee isn't already sweetened either, but you can ask for any of the syrups above to be put in your Americano or coffee (iced or hot).

Which roast is used for the Starbucks iced coffee?

Currently, Starbucks uses their "Iced Coffee Roast" - which is available for retail sale during the summer and which they order and use year round to brew and create the iced coffee base that you drink in store. When this first came out, the roast was called "Terraza Blend."Prior to that, I *believe" we simply used house roast, but don't quote me on that (I've put some messages out to my fellow pre-terraza Starbucks partners for fact checking! will update as soon as I hear back*). My mind's not as sharp as it used to be pre-babies! Iced coffee is brewed with a full batch's worth of grounds on a half batch setting (read, brewed double strength). Then, it's separated into two two-liter pitchers and one liter of ice is added to each. Voila! Later, to prepare each drink, the coffee from the pitchers are used and classic syrup (their simple syrup) and ice are added. Or other flavors if desired - some favorites are vanilla, hazelnut, "french vanilla" (which is made by doing 1/2 vanilla 1/2 hazelnut), and caramel. Back in the day, if my store ran out of Terraza or House, we used another lighter, Latin American blend or African blend. Our favorite was Kenya.**Editing to add: Just heard back from MY former store manager (I was his assistant manager), and he verifies that prior to the Iced Coffee Blend, we could use House Blend, Kenya, or Ethiopia Sidamo (yum, forgot about this one!) to make the iced coffee base. =)

How to order a vanilla iced coffee from Starbucks?

Usually when I get iced coffee it's from McDonald's and all I say is "can I have a vanilla iced coffee" but I don't exactly know how to phrase it if I want a fairly sweet iced coffee from Starbucks that is vanilla flavored? I get the sizes but I've never order anything from Starbucks other than frappucinos so I don't really understand the whole creamer sugar syrup lingo. What exactly should I say if I want something like the vanilla iced coffee from McDonald's? Thanks
