Scared to present in front of the class.. any tips?
I have to do a group presentation in class tomorrow.. its not thaat bad because theres others doing it with me but still im getting really nervous. And when i get nervous i talk really fast and stutter and ughh it sucks =( anyone have any tips on how to get through it?
Why has the government of India decided to let someone "adopt" the Red Fort of India?
‘Adoption’.This is the scenario similar to when a teenager gets pregnant and gives up the child to be brought up by a better set of parents for a healthier survival. Now, the thing is that, the Red fort being adopted by Dalmia Bharat group is not a similar arrangement. Dalmia Bharat is not going to selflessly take care of The Red fort like a child given to them for adoption, they have acquired the rights to earn profits from it. So, the adoption sitution has come to, the adopted child will be put to work, so that the adoptive parents can make some profit from it.Does this seem like legitimate adoption? It seems more like leasing of a property. Now, since the Dalmia group is here to earn profit, they will make all possible efforts to do so, which may include setting a handsome amount of money for tickets to enter the fort. Now, The Red fort is a tourist attraction, many of them foriegners, however, majority o the tourists travelling there are Indians, so ultimately it is us, the citizens who are going to pay Dalmia to take care of the heritage site. Now, we are already paying taxes to the govt to do that, so its unfair to us.Also, handing out a national heritage site, just implies that the govt is incapable of taking care of it. Which seems like a admissal of defeat, its a shame that we have come to a point where even the symbol of national unity is not safe in the hands of govt, however for a govt that has failed to maintain the unity of the nation, maintaining its symbol is just another feather in the cap.P.S: Applause for those who think that:The property has been given to Dalmia group for maintainance.Its like giving your vehicle for servicing.Its like calling a maid to clean your house.In all the above cases, we would be paying Dalmia Bharat to work for us, however, the payment is being made by Dalmia group, so we can very well understand who is working for whom.
