What are the first ten things you do after you root your phone?
DISCLAIMER: ROOTING is completely at the owner’s risk. You are responsible for whatever you do to your device. ROOTING is unnecessary unless you absolutely need it. ROOTING voids your phone’s warranty. If you think the manufacturer may not know that you rooted your phone even after you unroot it, you have got it wrong. Rooting can cause potential security issues to your phone.In my opinion, rooting is highly useful if you are a dev and pro in understanding the android framework so that you can recover your device if something unforeseen happens. Otherwise rooting is not necessary.Top 10 things in my list after rooting a phone/tab:Install a root file explorer such as ROOT explorer or ES file explorerInstall titanium backup for making restore points. If you are migrating from one version of Android to another, then clean wipe of /cache and /data is a must to avoid potential soft brick.Intstall Viper fx or similar sound enginesInstall a SU permission app such as SuperSU. (you can use this to unroot your device later as well)Change the Kernel to allow tweaking of CPU frequency (provide custom presets for CPU governor)Calibrate the battery by discharging the phone after full charge from 100% to 0% (till phone switches off) and then charge again to 100%. Repeat this cycle till I find the battery usage seems to last OK (basically till how it lasted before I rooted and tweaked my phone)If you like advanced settings/customizations, install Xposed Framework. (Source: XDA developers and similar places have tonnes of such customizations to help you do stuff but at your own risk)Install themes / custom theme enginesChange fonts/notification area tweaksDevelop your apps :) Since you now have full control over your phone, you can explore so many stuff such as developing your own simple apps and testing them.
