How Do You Spell Peace In Aramaic

How do you say peace in Aramaic?

Depending on dialect and situation, it can be pronounced either as:

"shlam" or "shlama"

And in Western Syriac is it is also pronounced:

"shlomo"

"shlama" and "shlomo" are spelled shin-lamed-mim-alef, as they are in the Emphatic form.

A very rare pronounciation is "shalma" which I have only seen written in an historical source once. I *think* it was in Christian Palestinian Aramaic, but I would not swear to it as I cannot remember. In either case, you probably will never come across *that* particular pronunciation without looking hard for it. :-)

How do you spell the word "peace" in aramaic?

This question is miscategorized.

Special Education refers to the education (and parenting) of children with learning differences.

That being said...

My computer's not enabled to write in other languages. However, using the aramaic alphabet link above, you can write it out on you own paper.

Write it starting from RIGHT to LEFT (rather than the English left-to-right). Shin-Lamed-Mem.

How to spell Jesus Christ in aramaic?

The real name of Jesus was Yeshua/Yahoshua/Eashua [depending upon the English Spelling you prefer] bar Yosef el Nazrany or Joshua, the son of Joseph of Nazareth in Aramaic.

Jesus comes from the mispronunciation of Yeshua by the Romans who made it Isaevs later making it Jesus in the fruther transalations. Christ is not even His name but his Title, taken from the Greek translation of Messiah or The Anointed One as Christos.

You can see the original error in translation in the INRI inscribed on the Scroll above the Cross which stand for Isaevs Nazaraenvs Rex Ivodorum or Jesus of Nazareth King of the Jews.

How do you spell JESUS in ARABIC writing?

"Jesus" is written one of two ways, depending on the religious context. For Muslims, it is 3isa ( عيسى). For Christians, it's yasu3 ( يسوع).

And.... we have no proof that Arabic as we know it even existed in Jesus' time. That's just a matter of record. In all probability, Jesus spoke Aramaic (1st century, Palestinian variety... Mel Gibson notwithstanding, we don't know exactly how that looked or sounded) and Hellenistic ("Koine") Greek, as well as having a grip on Hebrew for religious purposes.

Of course, Arabic and Aramaic are both West Semitic languages, so they have a lot in common. Jesus' quoting of Psalms (in Aramaic) on the cross -- "Eli, Eli, lama shabhaghtani?" -- is grammatically identical to the equivalent Arabic sentance.

They didn’t have that exact concept, for all of the physical world there is the expression “עלמיא” /ʕalmaja/ which means “worlds” or “the worlds” as well as the more abstract notion of “within (or ‘to’ with -ל) infinity.”

How to say Moon and Night in Hebrew or Aramaic?

In Hebrew:
Night= לילה = LIE-lah
(the syllable with the capitals is where the stress is.
for example, the word "English" is pronounced ING-lish not ing-LISH)

Moon= ירח= yah-REH-ach
(The ch isn't like ch in "china". It's a sound called heth that you don't have in English. Look it up on Wikipedia.)

in Aramaic:
Night= לילה= ley-leh

for moon there are two words:
ירחא= yar-cha (again, ch is heth)
סהרא= seh-he-rah

P.S. I can only read and write Aramaic but don't speak it. The pronunciations I gave you in Aramaic are from an online Hebrew-Aramaic dictionary here:

http://lishan.nashdidan.co.il/word-%D7%9C%D7%99%D7%9C%D7%94

http://lishan.nashdidan.co.il/word-%D7%99%D7%A8%D7%97

P.P.S there are 2 other words in Hebrew for moon but they are much less common in both the Bible and today's Hebrew, so I didn't mention them.

Depends which form of Aramaic you want to use.In Jewish sources you can find some of the following greetings:שלמא - /shlama/ - “Peace”שלמא למר - /shlama lemar/ - “Peace to the lord”שלמא עלך/עליך/עלייכו - /shlama alakh/ (masculine) or /alekh/ (feminine) or /alaykhu/ (plural) - “Peace (be) upon you”Other possible greetings are:צפרא טבא - /tsafra tava/ - “Good morning”צפרא דמרי טב - /tsafra demarei tav/ - “The lord’s morning is good”רמשא טבא - /ramsha tava/ - “Good evening”For “God bless you” I would take a turn of phrase from the Sabbath prayers:מלכא דעלמא יברך יתך/יתכון - /malka de’alma yevarekh yatakh|yatekh|yatkhon/ (m|f|pl) - “(may) the King of the World bless you”In modern, spoken forms of Aramaic, it depends on the particular dialect, but my favorites are:Bshayno u bshlomo - Greetings and peaceAloho mbarekh lokh/lakh/lokhun - God bless you (m/f/pl.)
