It depends on the type of situation you mean. If you are attacking and the city is clear of civilians (or you don't care about killing them/the press reaction if you do) then you need lots of grenades to clear rooms, something to blow holes in the sides of buildings so you don't necessarily have to go through the (booby trapped) front door and also so you don't have to walk across the streets at the pedestrian crossing and get nailed (i.e. making your own walkways through somebodies house). Smoke grenades to obscure your foe's vision and to signal for casualty evacuation and other uses are pretty helpful. And lots and lots of ammunition to hammer the windows/firing ports of buildings while you attack them. Most NATO armies have a ratio of something like one guy fighting and another two carrying ammunition for him to use as he will chew through it pretty darn quick and it all grinds to a halt if he runs out. If you are defending, then improvised explosives are pretty common and just about every nasty booby trap you can imagine trip wired to entry points. If it's a low level action, like northern ireland was, then the last thing you need is a grenade. Then you need an accurate rifle, a top notch intelligence system and a few decades to be patient in, unless you are not wearing a countries uniform, when a remote controlled bomb will do the trick.
What is the most difficult mission in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas?
GTA San Andreas is way tougher than Vice City. I was 13 at the time when I started playing San Andreas after completing Vice city. Initial missions very also moderate as compared to GTA Vice City. Those Big Smoke's missions made me frustrated. OG Loc, Wrong Side of the tracks were really challanging. Then came the time where we were in very bad area BADLANDS far away from the city where we have to travel a lot. I used the cheat to use Jetpack for covering distance faster. Then came the mission Farewell my love which I found similar to Big Smoke's missions.Then came the big city San Fierro where I found some missions agin challanging.Zero missions (2nd and 3rd) were too hard to complete, good news that it was not a part of story line. All new characters were building in this city Jizzy, Wu Zi Mu, T-Bone Mendez and many more which I don't remember now. There were lot of amazing missions here like Ice Cold Killa, Outrider, 555 We Tip, Amphibious Assault.Then came the nightmare.DESERT!LEARNING TO FLY!This mission was dead end. It was essential to complete and continue the story line. I was not able to pass this mission after trying for 100 times, you have to clear 10 tests. 2 were easy, rest of all were too difficult to pass atleast for PC user. We have to play this mission from more than 6 keys (confusing too much).After 2 months of hard work I passed this mission. YEAH! I was proud of myself. Now Toreno wouldn't abuse me again. Then again similar type of mission N.O.E. and Stowaway. These all missions were too challanging (at least for me) just like Dildo Dodo in GTA Vice City where you have to advertise magazine given by Film Studio.Then came some easy to moderate missions. It was not too far when I encountered the mission which made me to just forget about GTA San Andreas and that mission is FREEFALL. This mission was insane for a kid like me, way too tough than Learning to Fly. In the mission Freefall, we have to pass through a small Corona of the plane which is going to land on airport. If you missed once you would't be able to catch that again. Problem was that the speed of that plane was relatively slower than us and altitude was also low.I was not able to complete this mission and couldn't get further in GTA San Andreas. I guess this was the end of San Andreas for me.But I found the game really awesome.PS: My all time favourite is GTA Vice City.
