How Does The New Macpro Work

How does the new Mac Pro work?

I am assuming you are asking about how the cooling for the Mac Pro works, as everything else works just like a normal computer. So, the Mac Pro is cooled by this thing called a thermal core. It works by having all of the PCB's for the RAM, CPU, and GPUs, lined up in a triangle, creating this huge open space. Then, all the heat move into this area and this huge fan at the bottom move the air up through the top and brings in new, fresh, cool air. This cools all of the components of the computer. This thermal core is actually so efficient, that sometimes you barely hear the fan even in the most intensive tasks. Now that is what I call innovation.

How does matlab/mathematica work on a mac pro or mac air?

Mathematica works great on any recent Mac: laptop or desktop, running OS X 10.5, 10.6, or 10.7 (Lion). I use it on a Macbook Air quite often. System requirements for all platforms are here: http://www.wolfram.com/mathematica/features/system-requirements.html

Will AirBar work with the old Mac Pro?

No. Airbar is made to work only with Macbook Air. Know more about Airbar for Mac and other details about this innovative technology.

How does one slave a Mac Pro 2008 to an iMac 2012 or vice versa?

I don't know what you mean by SLAVE, but you an connect them together with :WiFI networkingEthernet networkingPeer to peer ethernet cableFirewire 1 or o2

Should I sell my 2013 Mac Pro in favor of the new iMac Pro, or will there be a new Mac Pro?

Same as when considering replacing any other computer: is it doing a good enough job as it is? Keep it. If not, ask yourself what the bottleneck is, and replace that component. Of course, that would likely mean building a new computer since Apple devices don’t tend to be user-serviceable.What you definitely shouldn’t do is buy a new computer unconditionally because Tim Cook, or some random guy on Quora (or anywhere else), told you to.Oh, and plan ahead. What’s the most likely to break? What are you likely going to have to replace? Then make sure that your new computer has room to grow in those directions.

What are some uses to take full advantage of the new Mac Pro?

It is designed for professionals, and is very reasonably priced, especially for a mac. I imagine the main users will be professional video and photo editors (Dual graphics card, 12 core CPU's, 64GB ram etc.) When you compare the cost of building your own baseline model to the cost of purchasing apple's model, it's so similar that it's down to which operating system you prefer. I know almost all photographers prefer mac's and while I'm not sure how many video editors use mac's, I know there are some.

Will the new Mac Pro have an Apple chip?

Yes, at the very least it will have an Apple T2 Security Chip or maybe it will debut the next generation which is likely to be called a T3.As to whether or not it will have an Apple-manufactured ARM-based CPU - this is very unlikely. The Mac Pro is a machine for content creation, video production, 3R and VR. There is currently no software compiled for ARM to do these tasks as well as a high-end Intel Xeon CPU.While we can get an Apple A12 with 6 cores, this chip comes nowhere near something like an Intel Xeon Platinum 8176F with 28 cores and 56 hardware threads, 38 MB of cache and consuming up to 165W of power. These two processors currently compete at complete opposite ends of the market. The A12 ARM chip is a low-power, portable CPU and the Xeon is a maximum performance at any cost CPU. This CPU on its own costs more than an entire iPhone with an A12.

Could I fit a new Mac Pro into a gutted Power Mac G3?

Let's look at the dimensions of each.Mac Pro:Height - 9.9"Diameter - 6.6"Weight - 11 lb.* Power Mac G3Height - 17"Width - 8.9""Depth - 18.4"Weight - 27.8 lb.*Height, check; diameter/width/depth, check.  Yes, a Mac Pro will fit easily inside a gutted Power Mac G3.*Irrelevant, don't know why I included itSource - Apple, Wikipedia

How do I get dead space to work on mac?

If you have a Macbook (not Macbook Pro) you won't be able to play Dead Space anyway. The system requirements are quite steep:

Processor Speed: 2.8GHz
Operating System: Windows XP, Windows Vista
System Memory: 1GB RAM
Hard Drive Space: 7GB
Video: 256MB DirectX 9.0-compatible NVIDIA GeForce 6800 or ATI Radeon X1600 Pro video card with Shader 3.0 support
Drive: DVD-ROM

If you note the video card requirement, the Macbook's integrated graphics don't even come close. As there's no way to replace the video card on it, you're pretty much stuck.

As far as installing Windows in Boot Camp goes, you'll need to buy it.
