What do your gaming setups look like?

Many people that come over my house like to see my computer gaming setup because my other friends come over and brag about it to other people.I’m not a narcissistic a-hole so i’m not really the type of person that goes around telling people its just such a finely made setup that I spend over 2k building blah blah blah, it just gets spread around. So I am going to tell you the process that I spent building the setup from scratch. The processI bought the case. A very nice case rather I highly recommend it if you are running entire servers for games and have a VERY hot graphics card, my case is a Thermaltake Level 10 GT white. (Picture below) - $300 at the time. The next step that I took to building my computer was buying the processor and the water cooling system. My processor that I upgraded pretty recently was a i7–7820x and the water cooling system was a Corsair Hydro v2. Both of these were around $650 togetherThe next things that I bought were the graphics card and all of the peripherals. The list is pretty long so prepare.Razer Blackwidow chroma v2 - $150Razer Goliathus mousepad - $20Razer deathadder (not chroma, shape is slightly different which REALLY sucks) -$50Dual Asus VG248QE monitors, 24 inch. - $500Kingston SSD 500gb - $2001000 watt power supply (dont know brand, its really hard to fuck up a power supply) $40.....so that is pretty much my setup, Im not trying to flex or anything, its your question man. Have a nice day.

Is this a nice setup for a gaming PC?

Yikes this won't do at all! That power supply is insufficient for your graphics card, minimum recommendation for a R9 - 270 is 500W (I strongly suggest an 80+ Bronze or better certified power supply for gamers.)The rest of it is not bad. While some people like Nvidia cards, in benchmarks, the R9 - 270 performs very capably and has remained my recommended GPU at that price point because it offers a better performance / value proposition for the money (in part because AMD bundles Never Settle Gold with R9 series cards and you get 3 free games.) Just a note, I'm not seeing a CPU cooler in your parts list. For this build, a 120mm All in One liquid system would be plenty (you could get by on an air cooler if you wanted to save some money, it doesn't need liquid and it certainly doesn't need 240mm or larger liquid.)

What gaming PC should I get?

I am looking to get into PC gaming and because this is my first time I have no idea what I am looking for. I am wanting to spend no more than $750, but will exceed if necessary. The games I would play would vary so I am looking for something to support many different games of all sizes. Also what are some cheap gaming mouse and keyboards that are recommended.

Cheap Gaming PC Setup under $200?

You're not going to get anything good for that. Your parts will be awful. I'd say spend £600. You seem more like the type who wants to play games on High settings. Spend more on the GPU and get a FX 6300. You will get a mid-end machine.

What does your gaming set up look like? And what's the best thing about it?

I have 2 screens, one 144hz screen for gaming and a secondary 60hz screen to look at discord/do other stuff on, I have a g903 Logitech wireless mouse and a Corsair Gaming K70 LUX RGB (Qwerty US, Cherry Red) keyboard.apart from that I have Sennheiser GSP 600 headset. The specs of my pc itself are as following:Gpu: MSI GeForce GTX 1080 GAMING X - 8 GBCpu: Intel Core i7-6700K Quad Core @ 4GHz-4,2GHzMotherboard: MSI Z170A GAMING M7It is really hard to say what the best thing about it is, but in the end, I would say my headset, it has given me an amazing experience gaming and listening to music, apart from this the microphone quality is also great which makes communication in certain games easier since your voice is very clear.(Btw I'm sorry to interrupt people Reading my answer but I’m the owner of a really small website TheGameMessiah, A Game review and news site and if you could take the time out of your day to check it out that would be absolutely awesome!)

What qualities should I look for in a gaming PC?

As you might have already known that laptops are not suitable for gaming. You are obviously going for a custom built desktop .The areas you need to see before building it are : Video Card : Buy an AMD one because they offer same performance than those nvidia counterparts and has better price per performance ratio Processor : You might have heard form various sources to have a CPU/GPU combination of either AMD/Radeon or Intel/nVidia rather than  AMD/nVidia and Intel/Radeon . In my opinion go for a processor which has higher clock speed and can be overclocked. The second thing you need to see is the Cache Memory, higher the cache ,better the performance . The last thing you need to decide is the number of cores . Quad core is not essential to have a good gaming rig,as almost  none of the games use 4 cores. Monitor: This is the main area where the rest of your components change. Be clear in what resolution you are going to play games and cross check the various benchmarks of video cards whether they are giving good FPS in that particular resolution or not.  RAMs : Thank god RAM's are never expensive..Go for 6/8 GB . They are sufficient HardDisk: Better go for a 7200 rpm Harddrive than 5400 ones .  A 1TB should be enough.Cooling System : Buying a good cooling system is very much important . A decent cooling system will allow your various PC components ( processor, graphic cards etc ) to run at full speed without overheating.

Im making a blue gaming setup?

I'm making a blue themed pc gaming setup, and I already have the mouse, keyboard, computer, and monitor for it. Could someone point me towards some blue lit speakers or headset or any other computer gear thats blue lit? Thanks

Why do you need a fancy PC setup for gaming?

Short answer, you don’t. I have a dual monitor setup with a pretty nice pc, kinda outdated nobody and cpu, but I plan on changing that out this summer. By no means is my setup glamorous, the monitors don’t match, I have an old nitpghtstand pulled up alongside my old desk to put my second monitor on. I’ve spent money on what matters, a decent 144hz monitor, a good graphics card, a psu, and the mouse and keyboard. Next I’m going to get an ssd and a new hard drive because my old 6 heard old hard drive is starting to show its age. It’s not pretty, but it’s functional, and it’s mine. People like spending money on fancy setups because they want it to look nice, me included, but it just wasn’t in the budget for me at the time, so I didn’t get a pretty gaming chair, a new desk, I spent it on the hardware and some games. Other people have the extra money to spare, and that’s great for them, but a 17 year old like me doesn’t have a huge influx of funds usually. It’s nice to have a fancy setup, but not required.
