English Premier League; I live in the U.S. and want to get more into EPL, can someone help explain it?
Hello, so I see you are interested in the English Premier League. Well, there are 20 teams in total. The EPL is very interesting because of the rotation of teams in & out and all football upsets + drama that come along with it. The three teams that end up on the bottom of the table are relegated and go down onto a more boring or less qualified league, and the top teams from that division come up into the Premier League. The top 4 (i think) qualify to try to get into the Champions League which a whole other question but I will say that the Champions League is where all the big names from Europe come to challenge each other. How to get more into the premier league? well... I feel like if you have friends that are into it, talk to them about it and get them into it aswell. Watch the games online, I know I do that almost every week but school interferes sometimes. Legendary teams in MY opinion and from asking people as I travel are Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham. Bad Teams in MY opinion would be I guess the teams at the bottom of the table at the moment which would be Blackburn Rovers, Bolton Wanderers, Queens Part Rangers, Wigan Athletic, Wolverhampton Wanderers. The game at Goodison Park will be the one to look forward to. Everton's explosive attacks will be pipped against one of the sturdiest backline in the League. Dier and Alli will have the real test in shackling Barkley, Deulofeu and Kone. Even with Baines back in action, Everton are leaking goals. A rejuvenated Lamela can run riot if Everton are not on vigil. We are looking at a prospective mouth-watering encounter at Goodison.It wouldn't be a surprise if I say Lukaku would be Everton's key. His hold up play and finishing has been spectacular this season. With Barkley and Deulofeu providing good service Lukaku is living upto his potential. But this game Lukaku is going to find himself against the Belgian defensive duo in Alderweireld and Vertonghen. They're the stingiest defense in this edition of the PL, conceding only 15 goals until now. With Deulofeu on the right it wouldn't be surprising to see Spurs concentrating their efforts of Davies' side. This can actually open up space for Kone to work his way on the left. But Kone, so far, hasn't been convincing barring the purple patch during the start of the PL. Kone's contribution has been far from great in the past few games.Walker and Eriksen on the left would be giving Coleman some difficult time, ideally nullifying Coleman's attacking efforts. McCarthy's absence is going to be the hammer blow for Everton. Cleverly is, well, not quite good enough. But his work would be measured up against Dembele's effort. Dembele hasn't been the game changer in the past few games, but Lamela's and Eriksen's ability to drift inside has been driving Spurs attack well. Kane's ability to combine well with the midfield has been spectacular so far and his finishing has got even better in the last few games. He's developing as a poacher as well. I am predicting a 1-2 defeat for Everton.
