How Far From Alabama Usa To Sydney Australia From The West Compared To Going East

How long does it take for a card to get to Australia from USA?

Again… these question are not being specific enough .. IE: such as… I posted my package or letter with priority status postage on Monday Am with Friday being the Start of the Thankgiving long weekend. The letter was posted in Lincoln Nebraska and is expected in Brisbane Australia. How long should I wait for an expected delivery?Firstly … the sender is in the best position to get most of the information needed right from the wickets where one was to have purchased the sufficient postage for this item. Most, if not all questions regarding costs, shipping times and delivery expectations can be addressed by the compitant staff behind the counter whom deal with this daily.Regardless, in this EXAMPLE (Lincoln doesnt have a local sortation facility, but, a PO Depot and bag delivery system in place. Mail at this Depot is collected and trucked to the nearest large sortation facility once a day at a specific time (usually between ~ 17:00–20:00), then it would be culled, sorted again, and in this case be sent off to an international bag to wait for its dispatch time (05:00??)to the airport to meet is cargo flight to the Overseas & Customs Sortation facility for custoin LA. It's there that it would wait for its turn through the FMS or other number of machines to handle this mail including in some cases X-Ray scanning for customs etc. This all takes time. As there is no guarantee on untracked mail as to its throughput or whereabouts in the system, its up to the sender who is worried about delivery to pay for tracking at a little extra cost, at which time you can be watching it move though the place *** NOT TRUE*** But it would be nice if Tracking was that advanced at this time but alas…it's not and I digress. After all the mails collected from all the depots under its jurisdiction have been culled , XRayed, Sorted and rebadged they will be loaded into big metal bins and trucked down the Tarmac to the awaiting flight (if any of this happens near or on the long weekend proposed above) …the mail stops where it now waits till all the non postal workers have celebrated their long weekend away from work, as do these people also. When all work is picked up again, the flight takes a varied number of hours and the process happens all over again in Australia (Specially if Brisbane is NOT) the port of entry… if it's not, another day is lost. Two more days and the carrier should have the card to its rightful owner.

Why is population of Australia so low?

Compared to population density of USA or many other countries, population of Australia seems to be very low. Why is that? Are Australians not fond of having children? Do they think it's pointless?

How long would it take to swim from the US to Australlia?

According to the Guinness Book of Records, “[t]he longest distance ever swum without flippers in open sea is 225 km (139.8 miles) by Veljko Rogošić (Croatia) across the Adriatic Sea from Grado to Riccione (both Italy) from 29-31 August 2006. The attempt took him 50 hours 10 mins.” From San Francisco to Lord Howe Island (closest point in Australian territory) is a distance of 6,947 nautical miles (12,866 km). That’s 57.2 times as far.So, if you had no trouble with the currents, and no trouble with the weather in the Pacific being rougher than weather in the Adriatic, and used GPS to navigate, and weren’t eaten by a shark, and if you could maintain world-record pace for seventeen weeks with no rests, it would take 119.6 days. With adequate rests (on a support boat, perhaps) it might take perhaps a year to fourteen months.

How long will a package take coming from China to the East Coast of the USA?

How long will a package take coming from China?I order consumer products from China all the time, I am a collector and many of the items I collect originate in China. Even many items that originally came from Japan are now produced in China. The Chinese people are hard working quality minded individuals that have developed over the centuries a work ethic that is capable of exceeding even the most talented competitors.I am usually told to allow 5 to 8 weeks for shipments to be delivered to my door, however the average total time or time from ordering to delivery has historically been about half that stated, and much of the delay is caused in the customs department of the USA.So to give you an idea, say I received today via UPS 5 packages, of those 3 were ordered through company’s in Japan one item was ordered on the 25th of September this year and shipped on the 29th of September, I just received it today about 10:00AM mountain standard time. If you’re on the east coast then you probably will get your shipment quicker.Another item was ordered from a Chinese company on September 29th and shipped on September 29th and the both arrived here at the same time, today at 10:00 AM mountain standard time.So actually it’s been taking about two weeks, and some change. Meaning that on average maybe 15 or 16 days to get to my front door from the time I place the order. It’s a far cry from the days that any mail took six to eight months to arrive in the USA from China.

How long does it take First-Class Mail to arrive?

I can’t really add anything to the actual process of mailing a letter that the other excellent answers haven’t already covered. But, I will give you a couple of hacks to get your mail to the location faster. This only works if you live near a very large processing facility.I lived in Oviedo, FL but the nearest large processing facility is in Orlando, FL by the airport. If you mail it AT THAT FACILITY, they will sort it and send it out the same day if you meet the cut-off times on the mail box. This will save you the time it would take locally to sort and process it and save 1–2 days in the process.I now live in Nothern Viriginia near Washington DC. There are 2 large facilities near me. Merrifield, VA and Dulles, VA (think airport as in IAD).If I mailed anything at Merrifield, it takes 2–3 days to get to any destination on the East Coast that I have sent things to. If I mail it at the Dulles facility, it cuts that down by 1 day. If I go local, it goes through 2–3 transfers which can add an extra day or two to the process. But, for less than fifty cents, who else is going to take your first class letter ANYWHERE?

Is there a city in washington called aurora?

In Oregon, south of Portland, there is but there is no Aurora listed for Washington state.

Good way to find out if any city name exists anywhere in the U.S. is by using the Post Office zip code lookup and click the search by city tab:

How did the North win the Civil War? What were the strategies that the North and the South each used?

the north had an advantage over the south. for one that had bigger numbers in the miltary. A bigger population meant more soliders. And since most immigrants went to the north instead of the south they were an added bonus. They had 7x the manfacturing power of the south. So they could turn out more weapons and bullets than the south. the north also had a way better railroad system than the south. So they could transport goods faster and easilier than the south. They also had the navy, since the rebels had broken they didn't get any ships so the navy was soley the union's possission.

north straegies, destroy anything and everything the south could use to win. (Sherman)
Capture the major rivers (Mississippi) control of river, control of south.

South, great miltary commanders because of west point miltary school.
Destroy northern soliders on home turf so south had the advantage of home court.
capture as much of the north as possible (failed repeatly)
