How Far Should I Do My Time Jump

How long is the flea in the air from the time it jumps to the time it hits the ground?

Use s = u t + 1/2 a t^2

0.430 = 0 + 1/2 x 9.8 x t^2

0.860 / 9.8 = t^2

t = 0.29623 seconds (this is for the way up)

It takes the same time to come back down, therefore-:

2 x 0.29623 = 0.59246 seconds (for the total journey)

Well done Mr. Flea !!! ;o)

Car jumped timing how much should if cost to fix?

First off, what kind of car is it and what type of engine does it have? I have a 2002 Subaru WRX that had a bearing go out on one of the idlers that the timing belt rested on. Long story short, it jumped a timing gear by 2 teeth but thankfully did not bend a intake or exhaust valve.

Some cars like my subaru are built with what are called interference motors, where when the piston is moving upwards in the cylinder the intake or exhaust valves are opening. The timing belt keeps the valves opening and closing motion timed perfectly with the movement of the piston so they never touch but when the timing belt breaks or gets out of time the valves may open at the wrong intervals causing the piston to smash into the head of the valve therefore bending the stem of the valve. Replacing bent valves can cost an upwards of $3000 which is mainly labor cost since they have to tear apart the whole motor.

If your girlfriend's car is not built with an interference motor then yes only those 2 parts will need to be replaced since when ever you remove a gasket you always need to replace it. The timing belt may need to be replace if the car has a considerable amount of mileage on it. Usually they need replacing at around 150,000 miles. It should cost no more than $120 to $150 for both parts combine.

Yeah, the 97' sunfire was built with a non-interefernce motor, so you should be looking at a minimal amount of money for the repair.

How long should I let my car run after getting a jump?

Until the ammeter shows a normal charge rate.Don’t have an ammeter? Well, then you’re just going to have to guess. The answer depends on how discharged the battery was, how much capacity the battery has and how big your alternator is. Severely discharged new batteries will take a while to fully recharge, but it will probably still start your car half charged or less. An older battery won’t take as long, but will have to be at near full charge to start your car.I’d say 30 minutes is usually enough.

Why can it take so long to jump start a car?

Min Ern, ten minutes does seem like a long time for a jump start, but there are some reasons why this might occur. I'm not gonna open myself up to getting sued by telling you how connect jumper cables. Before connecting them, both vehicles should have their keys in the 'off' position. Make sure everything in both vehicles' electrical is turned off: radio, lights, wipers, Air Con... Once hooked up, start the car with the good battery first. Unless the vehicle is over thirty years old, do not touch the gas pedal. Check the gauges to be sure that everything is OK. Let the good car run for two or three minutes before trying to start the car with the dead battery. Do not touch the gas pedal and try to start the dead car. Crank the starter until the engine starts, but for no longer than fifteen seconds. If the engine doesn't crank, double check your jumper cables to make sure you have a good connection, wait another three minutes before trying again. If you still don't succeed, it's time to look at the age of the battery. Some of the cheaper batteries only for about four years, especially in very hot or cold climates. If your battery is worn out, it won't hold a charge and it will need a longer time to become charged back up. Hope that helps. But in the meantime, keep your foot off the gas. The computer know just how much to use, and changing that could actually impede starting. Good luck!

How many calories will jumping rope 1,000 times with a skipping rope burn?

2 Assumptions here1. 90 kg weight ( 200 Pounds)2. If you jump at rate   of 70 times per minute. It will take you 14.28 Minutes if you do non stop skipping.  With the rate of 70 times/min you will burn ~15 calories/min ( Research).By this calculation, you will burn ~215 calories if you do 1000 skipping.Hope this answer was helpful.

How far can a cat jump up and jump back down safely?

i had one that jumped from the ground to an air conditioner, then onto the roof. about 5 ', each jump.

had another jump from the ground to to a porch light, about 6'.

i dont know what the limit is.

How long should you let the engine idle after jump starting a car?

Based on many years of experience in a cold climate plus a comprehensive knowledge of batteries and alternators the answer is idling is virtually useless. At idle your vehicle will barely keep the ignition and other battery draws powered. Turn on the lights, heater and rear defroster and you are discharging the battery at idle. The amount of current your alternator produces depends on how fast it is rotating. Higher RPMs = higher current. The other problem is that there is no way to fast charge a battery from an alternator. It takes time. The chemical reaction of recharge can only go so fast and the colder the battery the slower it goes.If you required a jump start your battery is really low. When you have started sit and rev your vehicle at 2000 to 2500 rpm for 20 minutes. You can turn on the heater and read a book. At that point the battery is still only partially charged and if it is really cold it may not start after sitting for hours. If you have a battery charger, connect it and charge the battery. If you don’t have one, buy a decent automatic charger from a local auto supply store. $40.00 or $50.00 and it will outlast your vehicle by many years. If you live in a cold climate make sure you have a block heater and use it.

How long would it take you to hit the ground if you were to jump off the Burj Dubai which is 818 m tall?

Assuming all the rules of physics and other meta-based properties how long would it take a human to meet his end should he jump off of the tallest building in the world? I am no physics major and I always wondered should I do something as dramatic as such, how long would I have to ponder the mistakes in my life as I descend all 800+ meters. I'm not sure how to factor wind in if that EVEN is a factor. Please help this curious mind!

How long should you jump rope in the morning?

I'm 24yrs old 5'11 170lbs and I'm in decent shape. I'm trying to get cut up by Summer time. I naturally have a high metabolism. I'm going to start jumping rope for cardio in the mornings when I wake up at 7am. I plan on working out later in the afternoon around 6-7. How long should I jump rope for in the morning? Also can I take breaks in between that time. I can jump for about 5 or 6 minutes straight then I have to take a few minutes to catch my breath. What would be a good jump rope routine for me? I'm eating really healthy. 5-6 meals a day. Chicken, fish, vegetables, fruit, water, and protein shakes. Any help would be appreciated.
