How Good Is Imovie On The Ipad

Is iMovie for the iPad worth getting?

It will be as good as for a small recording but will not work for a large files. 5 minute videos should be fine, but anything longer may cause it to crash. Even though I have iPad, I have never purchased it for my iPad as I have it on my Mac.
Hey what difference does a $5 make when you are already spending over $500 for iPad2. Go for it and try it out.
Personally, I do my video editing on my iMac or Desktop - because it quicker and easier to do than on an iPad. I have tons of photo editing apps, but they are good for very minimal things.Even though on ipad one can do many things such as editing, writing etc, they are all good for small articles etc. Its great for viewing though and that is how I like to use it and be happy with it.
The best way is to do all your editing and keep all the movies, videos, pics in a central place and share them with iTunes. Then one can easily access it on your iPad and that is how I use it.

Yes, it works like a charm. A clone of me is typing this while the real me is eating a bowl of pasta watching a 3rd me jerk off to the neighbors dog.

Is there any difference between ipad and macbook imovie?

The iMovie for the iPad is far more limited than the Mackbook version.

Also in my experience it is a lot easier to edit movies on the MacBook than the iPad (i run the iPhone version on my iPad in zoomed mode)

Can you make a good YouTube video on the iPad ?

Well first off, if you're going to use it to film I'd recomend using an Iphone to film as it has much better quality. The visual's on the ipda come out vary grainny. I'm not sure about imovie as I havent had any expirence with it but the app "Splice" is very helpful and film videos on my iphone and edit it imetiatley after with splice and it takes under a minute for it to render but it can be glitchy at times but other than that its great. I do sketch comedys on you tube so check me out. My channel is called "TricksterVision"

Can you download iMovie on a Kindle/Nook?

Hi8, Sophie, asking twice? You need iPad for iMovie. If you want movies on Android tablets there's no better than newly redesigned Netflix app that comes built-in on Nook Tablet that is much better than Kindle Fire - Nook's performance smokes Fire in all pro reviews specifically on video playback, the screen quality, and how fast apps load.

I have a sneaking suspicion that iMovie for iPad is difficult, if not impossible, to implement on the current hardware in a way that would be satisfactory to Apple and its consumers. Video editing is processor intensive and RAM hungry. The iPad is limited to 256MB of RAM whereas iPhone 4 has double the amount.  My guess is that the current iPad's RAM limitation is the main reason there is no iMovie for iPad.Having said this, iMovie is available for the 4th generation iPod Touch which also only has 256MB of RAM. This suggests it is theoretically possible for an iPad version to exist. I still don't think we'll see one until iPad 2 is unveiled, though, and even so, it's up in the air whether Apple intends to release it for the current hardware.
