Is it hard to get a Jcpenney's card?
I know I had a friend in high school who got one and she had a low credit score. They just gave her a very limited credit limit, like $500. But I would say if you're working to pay off other credit cards right now, you shouldn't bother adding more to your list. Wait until you've gotten your other debt lower before trying to get another card. For now, just buy what you can afford at the moment. There isn't anything you NEED at JC Penny's that you couldn't buy cheaper at Target until your debts are lower.
I just got a job at JCPenney!?
Early noon I got a call from JCPenney for the interview. She ask me when would be best for me to get interviewed, so I said tomorrow but my husband whispered that when this type of opportunity knocks you can't pass on it. So I decided to ask her If I want to get interview today, what time would that be? So she said 1:30pm, so I took it even though I don't have much time to get there in time. Will I was late for about 5 minutes, but it was okey, she did not care, she said I was just right in time. Anyway my Interview was really great. I already can tell that the first interviewer was already going to hire me but still they went for a second interview which it was more great and was easy. I don't know why, I was just being real, no lies, smile, I dressed properly and my work history not even related to what I applied for which is sales associate/casher. Before the inteview was done I got congratulate and told that Welcome to our great team. Wow I got hire on the spot. Anyway I was so happy and I'm still cannot believe I got a job, and bunch of questions that I didn't got to ask because I was just wow in my head. This is my first job in the US so it's very important to me. Well I will be starting my training within 10 days from today but my concern is clothing. I will be asign to womans apparel which is great. My problem is I don't own dress pants, khaki or low heels shoes. I have a bunch of jeans, t-shirts, blouse, high heeled boots, sport shoes, no sweater or blaizer except one, and I get cold very easly. I will get paid about $8.55 part time, so there is not much money there to spend more clothes for the job. I'm so confuse. I know I realy need this clothes but can anyone give me some advise on what to wear? if you have work experience there or even your obsevation to the sale associate that works there when you went shopping there or even similar place, please I need your advice.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! First job is VERY important and exciting!! :) Here are a few suggestions, first rule of thumb, if you don't know something always ask! Don't be afraid to look dumb or be shy. The next person in the room is just as likely don't know the answers as well. Secondly, it is always nice to wear something like a black or dark pant, khaki even and a nice top and comfortable shoes. You're going to be on your feet a lot so dress nice but comfortable. Go by what is being sold in the clothing store already and go for that look. Put your own twist of jewelry on if you want. I would wear anything too low or too tight. SAVE, SAVE, SAVE. Believe me, spend some and save some. Just as you might need money now, you will need money in the future for emergencies or to fix your car or something. Remember that jobs can be gone the next day because of layoffs, so, be sure to save as much as you can. Treat yourself like every 2 or 3 months. Working at a retail store, you normally spend all your money right back in the store because you see all the nice things first and get to the markdowns first. I am pretty much set on working at JCPenney. How hard is it to get a job there?
I turn 16 in August, and I am going to apply at JCPenney when I do. I was wondering how hard it would be to get a job there? How should I go about getting a job there? I was thinking that I would walk in there dressed up with my job application already filled out. I will talk to the manager, and give them my application as well as my skills resume. Do you think that they would want to hire me? I am very confident. Well I am very good at acting confident. What should I do? Thanks so much! Any tips or advice would be great!!
Seasonal job at jcpenney?
The hours you work will vary depending on the store in question. Some stores will need to hire full-time workers who might work a 40 hour work week. A store that is fully staffed but needs some extra help for the holidays might have you work 15 hours or so a week. It all depends. The best ways to try and turn this seasonal job into a permanent one is to make your wishes know. Outright say to a boss that you would like to keep working there. Sometimes people just get jobs for the holidays to have more spending money for Christmas, you want to make it known that you aren't one of those people. You can also up your chances by showing up to work on time, offer to stay late, cover the shifts of coworkers who call in sick, and by doing a good job at work. Good luck!

i just turnr 16 in may and the summer is almost over n i want to get a job soon because i really need money to help out my family. now i really want to work at JCPenney ..so how old do i need to be to work there or can i already. oor.. any other jobs anyone else recommened (no fast food restaurant pliz) (clothing store would be wonderful)

Cashier jobs are very easy after you go through the training. I used to work at a kiosk in the mall, then I worked at Foley's/Macy's for about 2 years, and now I work at Home Depot as a cashier. All of the different systems I've used were easy to learn. You are getting paid during training, so dress like you would to go to work. Dressy casual pants, a blouse, and comfy shoes would be fine. As far as how much you get paid...it depends everywhere you go and it also depends by the state. Starting as a cashier in Tx at a department store, I got $6.50 an hour. That was higher than minimum wage, but minimum wage has also gone up in the past 3-4 years! I'd say you'll probably get around $7. They should have told you when you were hired. Call the human resources dept. at the store and ask them! They are more than happy to answer any questions you have. Good-luck and have fun with your first job!

TRAINING IS A BREEZE AS WELL AS THE INTERVIEW, NOTHING OUT OF THE ORDINARY AND THE WOMEN CONDUCTING THE INTERVIEW MADE ME FEEL VERY COMFORTABLE. HOWEVER, THE SALES FLOOR IS A WHOLE DIFFERENT STORY. MY COWORKERS ARE LAZY, UNHELPFUL,RUDE AND QUITE FRANKLY JUST MEAN..I AM REMINDED ON A DAILY BASIS WHAT BEING IN MIDDLE SCHOOL WAS LIKE AS FAR AS ALL THE DRAMA AND CLIQUES! I LEARNED VERY QUICKLY THAT NO ONE IS YOUR FRIEND AND NO ONE WANTS YOU TO SUCCEED BECAUSE IT MAKES THEM LOOK BAD.. THAT IS NOT OK.
